This sweet children’s book depicts all kinds of different animal parents with their babies. From dolphins to kangaroos, this was the perfect read for any little one. The artwork was beautiful and kept my son’s attention as we went through the book. He loved to identify the animals as we read through the book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own opinions.

Adorable book is perfect for calm moments. I enjoyed the little paragraphs about each animal at the end of the book. It was a nice touch. I didn't know baby puffins were cald pufflings, and that's just adorable

In our home we love those perfect little stories that you can snuggle up with at bedtime. THis book was perfect. This adventure combines learning about animals and how they show affection with adorable artwork and a comforting tale to help my little ones relax. Each page is so colorful and warm and also includes details about what the animals do to show love to each other. My children loved this book that we received as an ARC ebook and can’t wait to add a copy to our home library. It’s perfect for any family with littles and makes a great gift. The back of the book gives more detail about the snuggly animals and how they show love. Our favorites are the bunnies nose to nose and the bears in a hug on the mountain. You will love this as a family and it could become your next every night bedtime snuggle tale. We sure love this adventure.

A decent enough book that is clearly trying to do two or three things – and succeeds. It acts as a bit of a "my first biology" book, as it looks at diverse animals from around the world, from the dolphin to the penguin and from the tiger to the horse. And while the pages only have a word or ten on them, there is a fair bit of good information in the denser text that serves as end-matter. But the thing is the book is only looking at how animals prove love, emote and connect with their babies – nose to nose if you're a rabbit, perhaps tail in trunk if you're an elephant. And you just know this will end with proof the human animal does pretty much the same thing, with a hug and cuddle – so this is also a love letter to the very young reader, and a mark of affection as well as a lesson.

The main text is a rhyme, although the captions to each spread that interrupt that get in the way somewhat with their explanation of what is going on, and the artwork is fine indeed. This is a cosy and warm way to begin an interest in nature, and proof that you can bond with your young 'un even over an ology. Even a weak entry for the kangaroo won't prevent a healthy four stars for this.

Me and my children enjoyed this story with all the animal characters within. It was about animal's parents and their children and ways that they hug each other. There were quite a few animals throughout.

This was fun to read. It had action and facts about each animal's throughout. There were a few giggles within. The illustrations want along with the story and were colorful too.

I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.

'Animal Snuggles: Affection in the Animal Kingdom' by Aimee Reid is a perfect bed time book for little ones (5 and under). The illustrations are sweet, the prose simple, and best of all it gives lots of opportunities for snuggles!

This such a fun and cute book about animals and how that parent(s) show affection to their little ones.

Each page has a few words about an action and then the page next to it describes how that animal uses that action to show affection.

The illustrations are bright and filled with detail.

The last few pages includes extra facts about each of the animals in the book.

If you have an animal loving child then this is for you.

Since my kid started babbling, she can make all kind of noises animals make and it makes her happy. While reading this book I showed her all the illustrations where mama and kid are snuggling each other and she started making all these happy animal sounds.

This book makes us realise that love is not bounded, it comes in all shapes and sizes. A mother's love or rather parent's love for their children will always be unmatched and incomparable. Love doesn't need a verbal language it can be expressed through your body language. Love is universal and exists in every part of life. That's what this book teaches us.

This was a cuddly and comfortable read.

Thank you Netgalley and sourcebook kids for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.

An adorable going to bed book featuring animals and facts about them. The book shares the animals snuggling together. A message of love and belonging is below the surface. Also, the book explains the different ways the animals snuggle and can help learn different parts of the body. For classrooms, it may be a good movement activity.

Unremarkable but sweet nevertheless. It will be a solid fit for kids who love animals AND hugs. Also good for identifying different species if a younger kid is unfamiliar.

My children and I loved this book! The illustrations are amazing and they show perfectly how other animals snuggle with their babies! We were so delighted to be able to learn more about these animals towards the end of the book, as the author decided to add more detailed facts about them. This is a very sweet little book that works well as a read aloud for young children. For younger kids, it's a simple bedtime story about the ways animals show affection in the wild, the additional text provide more background for preschoolers and older toddlers

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review! I will also post this review on Amazon on the release day.

Animal Snuggles does a great job of showing children how different animals connect in a fashion that is interesting to them. The illustrations in this book are great and add so much to the story. I also really enjoyed the section at the end where you can learn more about the animals mentioned in the book. I read this with my three year old and he approved. It held his interest and said he enjoyed it enough to want to read it again.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a review copy of this book!

An adorable picture book that teaches about animals while showcasing how all animals snuggle in their own ways with their babies. I loved the way the book was simple but also detailed, especially at the end of the book, as it contained informative facts about the animals in the story. The artwork was impeccable because of how it hit the mark when it comes to adorable depictions of animals with their young. I loved this book and wish I had a paper copy. I appreciate being able to read it as an ebook early review copy through NetGalley.

An adorable non-fiction picture book set in rhyme that share with little ones how animals show affection. I loved this book and if I had any little grandchildren - mine are all too big now - I would snuggle with them on my lap and read this to them every chance I could. Such a feel good - and the illustrations are so sweet and calming. Simple prose so that children can recite with you as you read! In addition to the rhyming text the additional bonus of a short sentence explaining the animal behavior is on each page and then when you get to the back of the book there is a glossary of sorts that goes into greater detail about each one of the animals highlighted in the book. Love It! Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for the advanced copy. Looking forward to the actual release this November 2023. Make a note to check this one out and add it to your personal or classroom library.
