This was a quick, fun read. I'm always a sucker for stories about magical schools. All in all, I enjoyed the story. The writing was a bit simplistic and honestly, the magic system was pretty confusing at times. Way too much going on with all the different species and it was difficult to keep straight. But the storyline was engaging enough I'll probably read the rest of the series.
