The Neighbor Renovation is a contemporary light romance written by Grace Worthington.

Summary: Ella is looking forward to a summer redesigning her aunt’s beach home.

She might even use the project to apply for a TV show-that would boost her job prospects.

But when she arrives, her aunt has given the project to someone else.

Now what?

Is she desperate enough to beg the grumpy neighbor next door for a chance to spruce up his place?

It’s a tough ask-especially since he made a point to humiliate her when they were teens-but a girl has to do what a girl has to do-right?

My Thoughts: I really enjoyed this book. It is definitely in my top ten for this year.

This is a great opposites attract, going after your dreams, moving on when life gets you down book with a fun romance thrown in for good measure.

The plot was unique, the characters were ones to root for, and there were some great sidekick friends in this one as well.

I really enjoyed this book and would definitely read it again. It’s a great book!

I would like to thank Poets & Saints Publishing for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my review. Thank you!

A fixer upper/slow burn romance?! Yes please! The only thing missing was some spice. Closed door romance girlies will love this one!

This book has a cute story, though I didn't particularly like or dislike it. If you up to small town nemesis turns lover with some family rival conflict on it, this one's for you

I was attracted to this book because it has the setting of a home renovation, which I am very interested in. I really enjoyed this story because it is a very cute mix of attraction between opposites, emotions, and how they cope with their environment. Additionally, it is very important to note that the characters developed throughout the story and were not static throughout the story. My favorite thing about the book was the way that the author demonstrated the growth of these characters both morally and emotionally. In this way, it resulted in a very sweet and cozy romcom, with a great beginning and an enjoyable ending. Thanks to the author for the book.

I ended up DNFing this book at the 75% point. I could not get into the storyline. I thought the family drama was ridiculous, and I thought the female leads' storyline was too dramatic. The male counterpart had actual trauma in his background that I would have loved to see explored more but it got overwhelmed but the other parts of this book. I just did not care about either of them and couldn't;t bring myself to finish the book.

Super cute rom com. Something I felt like I really needed in my life right now. If you are looking for something that is a fun story to read, this is the one that I would recommend. Very well written and enjoyable start to finish.

A fun enemies to lovers, forced proximity, childhood crush story you don't want to miss. I loved the way this was a mix between a home improvement show and a romance. There was so much to love. I enjoyed the character development and growth. A lot did happen in this book, but it wasn't a bad thing. Well written and I will definitely be on the look out for more by Grace Worthington.

Ella wants to get on a reality show that has renovations on homes that need some love. She moves into her aunt's home. Then there is the neighbor Grant. He is getting over the death of his fiancee. Ella steps in and asks Grant if she can redo his home. Romance is in the air.

A lovely short read perfect for holidays. A feuding family, a grumpy male and cute Ella who works hard at getting under his skin all make this a delightful read.

I think this is a new trope to me, the renovation trope andi read enjoyed the journey. The story itself was so funny, I loved the humour so much , but it was also emotional as we watch Grant as he tries to grieve and accept the loss of his fiancé and Ella, I love Ella she deserved much more from her family. Both their journeys of self healing are beautiful and inspirational. Definitely recommend this feel good read

Grant plans to spend the summer alone, hermit-style, in his granny's beach house, possibly doing some renovating. He lost his fiancee a year ago, and is pretty sure he'll never love again. Then Ella shows up next door, the girl he once summered with now a beautiful woman who wants to fix up his home for her chance at a spot on a reality tv home renovation show.

This is a very sweet Romeo and Juliet retelling, with a touch of grumpy vs. sunshine and a second chance/first love aspect. There are numerous references to The Princess Bride, there's a modified love triangle, and lots of emotion. It's not very spicy, but there is plenty of tension.

I thought it was a sweet, emotional read, dealing with issues of death of a loved one, family issues, feelings of inadequacy, moments of perceived betrayal on both sides, that ultimately resolves with a heartwarming reconciliation and a happy-ever-after.

"I'm learning that all our experiences, good and bad, make us into who we are and who we're meant to be. It gives us a chance to remake ourselves and discover we're stronger because we survived."

Grumpy X Sunshine! My favorite trope! Grant the grumpy pilot meet again with his childhood crush Ella the sunshine. Ella want to help him renovate beach house, it will help her to get into a home renovating competition. Grant reject her, doesnt want to getting close to her, because he aime to do all work alone and become hermit this summer. What can Grant said? He haid shopping, no idea what paint and decor to chosee also he cant say no to Ella.

How sweet their relationship! Ella slowly crumb Grant wall, old flame from childhood crush still there. Family drama colorful this book, i cant help dont like Ella aunt. Grant grand gesture to win Ella really awesome!

Thank you to NetGalley for provide this book, it is pleasure to review this book.

This book hooked me from the first moment, I read it in less than 24 hours, it's a story that you start and you don't want to let go, I'm a rom com lover and this has definitely become one of my favorites, the story was very funny and emotional, the characters felt so fresh and the love story was too beautiful, I loved how the romance was built.
I think that we can always learn something from books, even from romance books, in this case we were able to learn about how to continue after a loss, that we have the right to live and love again, that this is not betraying those who left.
I really liked the author's way of writing, I think that's why I got so hooked on the story, she writes in a way in which you feel what the characters feel and you can understand them, I want to have the opportunity to read more books written by her, she could easily become one of my favorite authors.

As children, Ella and Grant spent their summers vacationing in their family's neighbouring beach houses in South Carolina. The two were constantly at war, until a prank goes too far and breaks Ella's heart.

Over a decade later, they're both back for the summer and realise their family's feud is still raging. But this time Ella has bigger things to worry about; she's angling to audition for a home renovation show and needs to find the perfect fixer upper!

Cue Grant, who is renovating his beach house with no understanding of interior design. Can the two work together to create a winning home? Or will a life time of rivalry prove too much to overcome?

I really enjoyed this story and the way that both their childhood together, and their own individual pasts were included to provide depth. A clean romance, it was a mix of enemies to lovers, small town, slow burn & first love. A lot of classic romance tropes... but it worked!

Thank you to Author Grace Worthington and Netgalley for providing this free ARC. I've willingly written this review & all opinions are my own. I recommend that you check out the prequel to this story, the Dating Hypothesis, which features Grant's brother Mason 💕

This was such a cute book! I was looking for something light and fun for my beach vacation and it lived up perfectly to my expectations. I appreciated the PG-rated romance. I liked the characters, and the themes of not being embarrassed of your roots as well as finding love after loss brought interesting elements to the story.

I loved this book so much, it was amazing. I didn't think I would love it this much. These characters were flawed but they kept trying. I really felt Grant's struggle, leaving his past and Tessa behind or move on. The thing is wasn't like that, he was so sure that he was betraying her if he moved on with Ella that he couldn't see that wasn't the case at all. Moving on is natural and she would have wanted him to move on. Ella was really understanding about that, she never forced him or made him choose, she simply thought she couldn't compete and let him go. Sering these two fight for each other was just beautiful. I loved them and this story was amazingly written

This was such a cute story!!! I really liked Ella and Grants relationship building from former child frenemies to friends then to lovers. My heart really went out to both these characters-- Ella deserves a little more love and faith from her family, encouraging her in her professional goals; and Grant I really felt for as he navigates trying to move through losing his fiance. While Ella helps a reluctant and grumpy grant renovate his house, he's helping her get what she needs to achieve her dreams, and she's helping him move forward in his life. As these two become more than friends, I love how sweet and tender they are with each other, while also keeping me laughing the whole way through.
Overall, very cute and funny story with a touch of Romeo/Juliet family fighting to keep it fun :)
Thank you for the ARC!!!!

3.5⭐ Grumpy/Sunshine, second chance romance, forced proximity with small-town beach vibes!

She’s an interior designer who needs work. and Grant is a pilot looking for peace and quiet. Both are healing from love loss, and trying to move forward, looking for happiness.

I never fully liked Ella and her behavior annoyed me. I liked grumpy Grant and his friends, and how close they were.

The Neighbor Renovation is a sweet/closed-door romcom combining home renovation, a broody grump, and a fun beach vacation setting!

Grant (𝚖𝚖𝚌) goes to his Granny’s beach house for the summer to get away from people and use the time alone to get through the loss of someone he loved.

Ella (𝚏𝚖𝚌) leaves NY behind and goes to her aunts home for the summer, to get over an ex, and to enter herself into an interior design competition.

When Ella and 𝙶𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚝 realize they will be spending the summer next door to one another, neither of them are shouting from the roof tops. They haven’t both been to their families next door beach homes, at the same time, since they were kids.

What will happen when Grant lets Ella take over his Granny’s house for her home makeover audition.... You must read to find out!

The book left me feeling excited! It was fast paced, the characters kept me drawn in throughout & I would highly recommend for a great “feel good“ read!
