Overall I enjoyed this book. This book takes place at the turn of century. Mareika Doerksen and her father live on the Canadian Prairie on the edges of a Mennonite community. A preacher arrives spouting end of the world doomsday prophecy along with the arrival of Hailey's Comet. The book was very well written. It was a slow moving book with lots of description, religious background and emotions. Enjoy
