This picture book about classroom behavior shows how a tiger's alienates other students through his selfishness. He learns to be polite and considerate of others so that he can make friends, and the simple story can be a helpful way for parents and teachers to introduce concepts related to appropriate behavior.

This isn't really about bullying, though. It's about selfishness and a lack of social skills. Tiger is rude and pushy, but he doesn't maliciously target other kids or act cruel to them on purpose. I like that this book talks to misbehaving kids directly to help them recognize the consequences of their behavior and change, but the language of bullying may lead someone to expect something different from the content. This isn't about picking on classmates for their differences or being deliberately mean, just about not waiting your turn and being demanding.

“Don’t Be a Bully, Little Tiger” is a must-read for children getting ready to start daycare or pre-school who need a lesson on how to behave around other children.

The illustrations in the book were fun, eye-catching, and really enhanced the emotions and actions described in the text. I liked how many of the drawings looked like something a school-aged child could have attempted.

The lesson of the story was simple but profound: Bullies don’t make good friends. The ending of the book was super cute and made my daughter laugh.

I highly recommend this book! It’s a wonderful way to teach children that kindness, taking turns, and sharing are essential tools for making friends.

Usually books about bullying are about those who are being bullied, and what to do about it. This book, however, turns it on its head, with the main character being the one who bullies.

Little Tiger wants everything to be about him. He wants every crayon, every slide ride, every colored pencil. He doesn’t think about what anyone else feels.

But, the kids all shun him, after a while, and he finds that things can be quite lonely when no one plays with you.

Finally, his teacher, who has been watching all this, but said anything, asks him what the problem is, and he says that no one wants to play with him. She advises him to not be a bully. I’m sort of surprised she didn’t say something sooner.

But I guess he is so young, that that was enough, and from that point on, he is nice. That has got to be the easiest way to solve a bullying problem ever.

But on the other hand, if Little Tiger is aware that he is being shunned, perhaps that was all he needed indeed.

Here is to hoping that all future bullies come to that conclusion sooner rather than later.

Sometimes very difficult to teach children about early social life lesson. But this cute book is perfect tools to become opening story into the real lesson.
Don't Be A Bully Little Tiger is a story about first experience when Little Tiger going to school and how he interacts with his classmate. It is interesting to say bullies from different perspective than normally victims story.

I enjoyed the narrative, it is simple but efficient. I like that Little Tiger found the lesson by himself, how he accept the reactions from actions. The teacher give little good push to him, not burry him with all warning or explanations about his actions. Just make him understand the points of school.

The illustrations is simple charming, bold with lines and colors. It is looks like children's drawing. Actually I really like it, I can imagine classmate doing class project to copy drawing this story together to make the lesson absorb stronger.

Thank you NorthSouth Books and Netgalley for provided my copy. My thoughts and opinions always my own. This book will publish at 27 June 2023.

This story teaches a very important lesson. Don’t be a bully! It is very easy to understand story and will help your little one learn about sharing and being nice to others. The illustrations are very cute and have a childlike drawing quality to them. I loved that they added to the story as if Little Tiger was telling and illustrating the story.

Don't Be A Bully, Little Tiger is a cute picture book with an important message about being a good friend. Little Tiger learns that he is much happier at school when he shares the toys and lets the other kids play with him instead of making them go away and do something else. I found the ending a bit abrupt but overall liked the book. The illustration style is fun and the colors used are bright. I would recommend it to my family and friends with little ones.

Super cute and easy read! My 4 year old loved the pictures and the story was easy enough for him to understand. I think this would make a great addition to any families library with young kids getting ready to head off to school or even already in school or daycare!!

The cover caught my attention right away, the color combination is quite unique and I really enjoyed it. I feel that this story can be a wonderful tool for young elementary age and preschool age children. It is a very direct story with specific examples about being a good friend and classmate. I can see this being read especially at the beginning of the school year but also referred back to all year through - some kids need gentle reminders on the topic!

This story has a great lesson for every child to learn. It is about how to share and get along with others. It is a perfect book to have in a classroom or daycare setting.

While the lesson in this book is important and effective I found the story to be a little monotonous and the illustrations, though consistent and appropriate to the story, don’t scream out look at me and are easy to disregard.

On his first day at school Little Tiger is still learning how to behave. We see several examples of him bullying his school mates, which will help kids recognize similar situations in real life. In the story, no adult intervenes, and soon Little Tiger himself realizes that his behaviour is not appropriate.

This picture book is a great educational tool. The artwork is cute, but it takes time to get used to the unusual colour palette. It gives a tired and faded feel, with a refreshing striking light blue.

Many thanks to NetGalley and NorthSouth Books for an Advance Review Copy.

The book has cute illustrations. Early on I suspected a Halloween theme, however, that changed. There is a great lesson to be learned from the story. Kindness will get you further than being selfish. There was good representation of a caring teacher.

I don't feel like the author made a point with bully: this is the wrong age group, nor should she.

Selfish, yes. The two are not the same.

My kids loved the book. As a parent, I appreciated the lesson about bullying and how it makes everyone feel.

This is from the bully’s perspective, so it’s nice to understand that side of things as well. The story shored up nicely and shows kids how they can make better choices and start small when changing behavior.

A great read for kids about 3-8 I’d say.

A cute little story of a bully. It is not just a story but a moral story. I would love to narrate the story to my kid. Cute illustrations and characters makes it more interesting. My favorite character is the wolf, and although I am grown up now, but liked the story very much. Definitely, 5 stars for the book. Thanks to Netgalley and North South Books for providing me with an opportunity to read and review the book.

This is a very straightforward teaching story about not being a bully. A tiger goes to school and – the tiger is the problem. The tiger needs to change their attitude. The tiger needs to be mindful of others. And when that happens, the world changes for the tiger – the tiger has friends and fits in. Without being a mean bully. And the world is a better place.
The drawings are super nice and go well with the text. The drawings actually are incredibly supplementing in this case. The drawings really help to drive the point home.

Don't Be A Bully, Little Tiger is a beautifully illustrated story about a Tiger who doesn't quite know how to make friends. He pushes people, yells at people, steals their toys, and generally bullies his peers. With some good advice from his teacher, Little Tiger figures out the golden rule and treats his peers better. This was a very cute book that teachers a very needed lesson to kid's - Don't Be A Bully!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is such a precious little story! The definition of bully is very easy to understand and the overall message would go well with teaching of the Golden Rule. At its core, the book is about kindness and in my opinion, there can never be too many stories like this where children are concerned! I also really liked the illustrations; something about them gives me an older, nostalgic vibe, like a children's book that might have been passed down a few generations. I think this definitely has the potential to be such a book. I would definitely recommend to parents or those looking for a sweet gift for a young child.

Don't Be A Bully, Little Tiger is a book that provides a valuable lesson for little ones that being nice goes a long way. The book is easy to read and understand for the targeted age group. I do, however, think that the main character has a bit too much of a resemblance to Daniel Tiger, so the illustrations were not as original as I would have liked, but overall, it's a good book to read to kids.
