4.5 stars. This was such a cute self-contained BL manga. I absolutely loved the art. it is one of the best art I have seen in a while in manga. The lines were dark and clear, with perspectives and layers easy to see with the good use of dark and light tones. In recent manga, the art is good, but everything was the same tone, so it was hard to see the background and differences between characters. The story itself was well-developed for a one-volume story. Both characters felt real, with wants and desires and chemistry that slowly built between the two of them. I was invested in their future and how they would work it out. Overall I very much enjoyed this manga and would recommend it to others.

Snow Fairy was a wonderful and wholesome story about a recluse small town man and a wildlife photographer from a big city. I loved the process of how the main characters fell for each other and how photography brought them closer together. The main couple was adorable and the found family made this manga even more wholesome!

I can’t wait for this to come out on April 11th, so I can get my own copy!!

This was so wholesome and so adorable! I absolutely loved the artwork and how the story was sweet while still having a certain amount of depth to it. Plus, I enjoyed the metaphor of the snow and winter that was laced throughout. This was more than just a love story—there were sweet moments involving friends & family, too. Overall, I really enjoyed this and would definitely recommend it!

I adored this! The art is so lovely and the character designs are super cute. This is a slow burn story about two strangers becoming accidental housemates and friends. It's about loneliness, grief, community, art, and learning to trust. I love the rural, winter setting. There's a peaceful, almost melancholy vibe to the manga, especially as you learn more about what Haruki has gone through, and how he keeps his distance from fear of being hurt again. I like that Akihito is respectful of Haruki's need for space, as well as his desire to stay in his small town. What Akihito sees as a prison, Haruki finds comforting. Both men take their time getting to know one another, and in the end they accept their differences, don't compromise on their dreams, and find a path forward that works for both of them. The romance is so sweet, and it's lovingly captured in their photos of each other. I'm looking forward to buying a copy of the manga, and will keep an eye out for future publications by this creator!

This was so adorable! I loved it. The art is cute, the story is sweet. It is everything you want in a slow burn romance novel. It is the story of a wildlife photographer stranded in a small town trying to take pictures of Snow Fairies. So he stays with a local. It is a nice sweet story there is no love triangle, no big bad drama or misunderstanding that frustrates you. It is excellent.

This story is adorable! I loved every moment of it and the art style is gorgeous. Narumi and Haruki's character designs are beautiful. Not only that, they both had such lovely personalities and as a result, their friendship is so wholesome and their romance is just as sweet. Their relationship focuses on the nuances of photography and how it can expand your perspective. Photos are memories that can help soothe scars and capture all forms of happiness. I love how the author highlights the simple joy photos bring to the viewer and how they can connect people to a world outside their own. The whole story is just so delightful!! I was smiling from beginning to end.

This BL is the perfect manga to read to give you warm fuzzies during a snow day. I really enjoyed seeing the romance slowly grow, as the two spend more time taking photos of each other. I also love how the family is so accepting, because not many BL manga show just a really accepting family. The plot was funny at times but was filled with so much fluff and cute animals that I couldn't get enough. There is no sumt, so if you are looking for 18+ materials, then look somewhere else. Otherwise, pick up this cute BL manga.

I love any manga based in Hokkaido, because I lived there for six years. It has such a hold over my heart. Seeing the scenery made me feel very nostalgic and wistful.

This was well drawn in general. As for the plot, it was pretty straightforward. There were no real surprises in it. I think it'll be memorable just because its setting is different from a lot of other manga, but other than that, it's pretty standard.

Davvero bellissimo!

Grazie Netgalley per avermi permesso di leggerlo!

A really delicate boys love with serious themes. A unique volume that I would really like to own in paperback! The drawings are GORGEOUS! Detailed and delicate, especially in the close-ups and in the drawing of the cameras which are really perfectly made. I also love how some points of view of certain scenes were made. A true work of art.
I loved how the two protagonists took their time to get closer especially due to Haruki's family situation. And the theme of photography is absolutely not overshadowed, but is well integrated into the story.
Very beautiful!

Thanks Netgalley for letting me read it!

𝘛𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘴: Shounen Ai (Boy Love), Manga

So I’m going out of my typical comfort zone and diving into manga. I’m pretty much obsessed with BL dramas so I figured I’d carry that obsession over into reading. Y’all, YES. Reading a story and SEEING the story just works for this niche! Haruki and Narumi were ADORABLE from the moment they met. Narumi is so full of life and Haruki is quiet and awkward. Haruki has been dealt a hard life after losing his parents and over the course of a cold, snowy winter, Narumi learns what it means to settle down and appreciate family.

This was a typical shounen ai. Not a deeply developed TOLD story but rather heavily on the artistic depictions. It’s in the drawn glances and gasps and blushes. I LOVE how the images are part of the story as well. They’re very important and play a critical role ion saying what the words and characters won’t or can’t say.

The artistry is GORGEOUS. Both Narumi and Haruki are cute af. They learn to love each other through expressing their emotions on film. So cute!

This is such a great single volume manga. Narumi is a wildlife photographer traveling to Hokkaido in search of a snow fairy. When Haruki stumbles upon him and issues an unexpected invitation to stay at his place the two end up spending the winter together. Snow Fairy is a gentle exploration of love, loneliness, grief, and the definition of home.

Thank you NetGalley and IPG for this ARC.

I never knew I enjoyed the grumpy x sunshine trope. Or I didn't realize that what I was reading fell under that trope. This manga was very cute and perfect for the down mood I've been in. The characters developed nicely. The pacing was a little quick but it is a one shot story so that make sense. I loved the twist of the snow Fairies. That made me giggle. Super cute cinnamon roll read for then you need something cozy.

This manga has everything you imagine.
It's soft, cute, and casual. Maybe the story is too fast but, if you read this kinda of mangas, you know they can be that way.
I would recommend it just for casual read time and not with high hopes. It's a nice company and a very, very sweet story.

Snow Fairy is a lovely manga depicting the relationship between wildlife photographer Narumi and local Hokkaido farmer Haruki, after the latter rescues the former during a snowstorm. They are complete opposites in personality - Narumi is an outgoing city boy, while Haruki is quiet and reserved, still living in the same country home his deceased parents built for him as a child.

Snow Fairy is a lovely and inspiring manga about the impact people can have on one another, and the love that can blossom when you connect with someone.

It was perfect. I was unable to put it down until I finished the very last page. Definitely a new favorite.

This was such a beautiful story. Haruki invites photographer Akihito to shelter at his home in winter while he is working. While Akihito is charming and a people person, Haruki is a homebody. Their feelings for each other slowly grew over the winter and it was just a wonderful slow burn story. Akihito showed Haruki to find the beauty in winter again and Haruki gave Akihito a home and a place to belong. These two just were adorable together and I kind of wish we got to see more of their relationship. Also the artwork was beautiful and really complemented the story.

Trigger Warnings: Haruki’s parents were killed in a car accident when he was a teenager.

This was so wholesome 😭😭😭 and in terms of BL manga, this is surprisingly respectful.

Granted, I'm not the expert on all things problematic in BL manga, however the things I do watch for, none of those things happened here. Both parties are of age. Both parties are respectful to each other physically and mentally. There is one mess up, and it's addressed in it where the character recognizes they messed up. There's not problematic jealousy issues, no big misunderstanding, it's just a cute ass wholesome romance and I am here for it.

Anyways, definitely recommend. It's a really cute story, and I wish more BL manga was like this.

this manga was adorable, i liked the characters, the drawing style and the passion for photography. what i also really liked was the idea behind the manga because two completely different worlds collide, the city boy who has a passion for photography and the country boy who lets him stay with him at his place.
