Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
This was the first book I've read by Kat Turner. The story stands on it's own, but I think it would've been more enjoyable if I read it along with the other books.
I liked the writing style and found the concept interesting, but the main character was a little annoying and kind of took away from the book. But, I've liked it enough to consider reading the rest of the books!
I had a hard time reading this, normally I love these kinds of books, but this one was too complicated for my brain. Cynthia is a witch on a journey to find her coven. She meets up with some shapeshifters on what appears to be the same journey. One in particular grabs her interest, his name is raven!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
An intriguing mix of witches, shifters and a mystery to be solved. There is so much going on that at times it is difficult to keep track of all the characters but it is well worth keeping with it. Some fascinating developments and great chemistry between the main characters. A good read.
I loved everything about this book. It offers romance, mystery and adventure all of which plays out inside a gorgeous world. I especially enjoyed the connection the characters had to the land and the living palace. Gread read!
