The Less Than Zero Rockstar Romance series has reached its fourth and eighth instalments with Timeless and Timeless Encore, respectively, by Kaylene Winter. These two books can be enjoyed as standalone novels, though reading the other books in the series can provide a greater understanding of the side characters' storylines.
The two books focus on the love story of childhood friends turned lovers Zane and Fiona, who face many obstacles and dark secrets before reaching their happily ever after. The writing is raw and emotional, and the characters are surrounded by toxic elements constantly trying to pull them apart. However, their determination and love for each other keep them together.
Kaylene Winter handles tough topics such as addiction, toxic parents, and mental health in a healthy way, giving them the resolution they need. Both characters fulfil their dreams prior to their commitment to each other, allowing for character growth that is mature and fulfilling.
While the characters' decision-making may not always align with the reader's wishes, the love story remains pure and honest. The books provide an emotional rollercoaster ride that leaves readers rooting for Zane and Fiona's happiness. The books tie up neatly, providing the ending readers may have yearned for.
In conclusion, Timeless and Timeless Encore are excellent additions to the Less Than Zero Rockstar Romance series, providing a steamy, coming-of-age love story that tackles tough topics with grace and honesty. Fans of the series will surely enjoy the ride, while new readers can jump in and enjoy these books as standalone.

This is Fiona and Zane's love story. The fact that they have been friends since childhood adds an extra layer of depth and makes their journey together even more epic, despite the obstacles they faced. The author did a fantastic job of incorporating rockstars from other books, and it was heartwarming to see how each couple has grown and settled down. Although the book started slowly, the steamy scenes were non-stop once they began. Fiona's character development was enjoyable to witness, and her relationship with Zane was a joy to see flourish. Their love for each other is enduring, and it lifted the heaviness of the issues they had to deal with. Overall, this book is a perfect example of how romances can be complex and have a satisfying happy ending.
Timeless
Book 4 is about Zane and Fiona. Zane is Carter’s son and Fiona is the daughter of the owner of the Mission where Carter and Lianne first met. They have been best friends since birth. This story is special because it is the history of their love for each other since childhood. This book has everything in it: childhood best friends, teen love/angst, family drama, misunderstandings, teen/young adult immaturity.
Timeless Encore
I loved Zane and Fiona in Timeless because let’s face it: childhood sweetheart stories are a favorite of mine. And while I loved their continuing story in Timeless Encore, I felt a little let down by it in a way. It’s still amazing in spots; other times I just rushed through the chapter to get to the next and something more exciting to me. I loved Fiona’s aspiration to become a Michelin star chef; this was something she wasn’t going to give up on easily. I loved Mia as well as her father/daughter relationship with Zane. I was happy to see more of the Carter/Ty/Zane story from different perspectives.
This is not only the completion of Zane and Fiona’s story but the story of LTZ as a whole. I feel like I’m losing a connection to my friends since it’s the end of the series. Will we see them again in another of Kaylene’s series? Possibly. I hope so. I’m not ready to say goodbye.
Now, a little tidbit in the ending provided the possibility of Carter getting another book (besides the prequel to the series). I am really hoping for this. Lianne (Zane’s mother) has some explaining to do for me because I was not her biggest fan in this book. I was ready to pack her bags and send her back to Denver, New York, somewhere myself.
This is the 8th book in this series, and this is Zane and Fiona’s journey. These two are best friends and soulmates, and they have obstacles to overcome along the way. This is a well written story which pulls at the heartstrings throughout, and is an emotional roller coaster journey, with family, friendships, drama, passion, secrets, challenges, anxiety, deception, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This book follows Timeless, and it continues to tell Zane and Fiona’s story.
I loved how Zane was so loving and supportive of Fiona. When she was insecure, he would always show her that she had no reason to be insecure and that he loved her just the way she was. Zane and Fiona went through so much together, but they didn’t give up on each other. This was the perfect conclusion to their story.
I didn't know how I'd come to obsess over this series but I am. Zane and Fiona are the perfect way to close up the series. And saying that, I am sad to see it ending. What a journey it has been especially these two's story because of how full of ups and downs it is. I really was intrigued by it and wondered what was going to happen next.
I had already read and reviewed Timeless in the past and gave it five well deserved stars. So I went right ahead to Time Encore. After Ty & Zoey, Fiona and Zane are my favorite couple. Where Ty & Zoey met in high school and fell in love, Zane & Fiona met as children and became friends first, and proposed to her when she was six. As they got older there were obstacles placed by Fiona’s mom, life and their own immaturity. Still their love story was epic. They’ve jumped every hurdle and I love they’re a little kinky. I love that the author incorporated some of the rockstars from my favorite books. In this book everyone finally settle down and life goes on. Each couple has grown and are doing well, the music doesn’t end. Of all the books this one had the biggest journey, at least for me. This story was wonderful, the ending was delicious and I’m giving it five stars I highly recommend it.
