I am loving this series and I cannot wait for book 4 to come out! Thank you NetGalley and the publishing powers that be because waiting until July would have been pure torture! The Laurel Snow series is about an extremely intelligent woman working for the FBI in her hometown, battling serial killers and matters of the heart as well as a sociopathic sister. I do think this is a series that has to be read in order, there are just too many stories lines and back stories to just jump right in! In this book, You Can Die, Laurel is trying to catch a serial killer that is attacking men ((who aren’t the best)), stabbing them then stuffing Valentine’s Day candy hearts down their throats and placing them around their heads. They are also left under tents near churches. The victims all seem to be connected until Laurel’s long lost father turns up and is attacked. Laurel interrupted the attack and now has to figure out who this killer is and if her father was a part of the plan or a convenient addition. I am so invested in every character and I cannot wait for the next book! Loved this one!

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Books for the copy of You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti. I read the previous book in this series and while it was good, I didn't love it. I really liked the story in this one, but for some reason I still can’t warm up to Laurel and Huck. If you have been reading this series from the start and love them, this is probably the book for you. I haven't given up on this author yet, but I’m not sure this book was for me.

You Can Die is a book 3 in the Lauren Snow series by Rebecca Zanetti. It is told in 3rd person from multiple POVs
Tropes:
✔️ law enforcement
✔️ genius heroine
✔️ small-town
Rebecca Zanetti's latest book in the Laurel Snow series, set against the snowy Pacific Northwest backdrop, is a thrilling read that will keep readers on the edge of their seats until the very end. The author combines elements of romance and suspense with a twisty plot that will leave readers guessing and wanting more.
I’ve really enjoyed Laurel Snow’s character development, who is both analytical and human, and her troubled family dynamic adds an extra layer of intrigue to the story. The secondary characters are also well-developed and endearing. Their team is absolutely coming together and feeling more like family, except for Laurel's sociopathic half-sister, Abigail, who adds a disturbing but fascinating element to the story.
The romance between Lauren and Huck is both sweet, sexy and well blended the romance within the suspenseful plot. I can’t wait to see what happens next between these two strong willed characters.
The race to find the “Broken Heart Murderer” was gripping and had me figuratively biting my nails. I had a hard time putting the book down. However, the confrontation with the ending felt a bit rushed, and there were a lot of loose ends left to tie up hopefully in the next book.
Overall, "You Can Die" is an hast and twisty and unpredictable plot that had me hooked from start to finish. A must read for fans of the series and readier who enjoy TV series like "Bones" and "The Blacklist."

"I know you're trained and smart. Even so, I'd like to be there."
She grinned, even though the spray had stung.
"You want to put your big body in between me and danger?"
"Every fucking time."
4.25 stars!
When you need book four, but book three doesn't officially release for over two more months, so you're stuck waiting. When I tell you I checked my email every day until I was approved for this book, I'm not lying. Thanks for approving me for an arc, Netgalley!
These romantic suspense crime-solving partnership books are my kryptonite I swear.
Respectfully, I'm gonna need Rebecca Zanetti to drop everything she's doing and release book four right now because I need more Huck/Laurel moments in my life. ESPECIALLY after what went down in this book. Definitely was not expecting the series to take THAT turn (usually a trope I kinda feel meh about), but I surprisingly loved it, and Huck in those moments. DAMN. Love that man LOL. The Huck/Laurel moments were so precious, domestic, and everything I want in my romance in a romantic suspense.
I swear I imagine Laurel as Temperance Brennan aka Bones from 'Bones' and read all her dialogue in Bones voice. LOVE LOVE LOVE female leads like Bones and Laurel. And Huck, love that man. SO MUCH. He's a gem, and especially so in this book.
I lean more towards a 4 star rather than a 5 because the confrontation with the serial killer and the ending of the book feels a bit unsatisfying. I felt this way with the other two books in this series. I really wish the confrontation/climax was not at 96%. Definitely should have been a bit more drawn out, even if it was 5-10 pages more. And the ending. I just think there needed to be 20-30 more pages of climax and resolution to feel more satisfying.
I'm hoping the storyline with Abigail progresses a bit more in book four because that storylines seems to just be going in circles instead of progressing forward. Otherwise, Ms. Zanetti keep going. I need more Laurel/Huck ASAP.

5 bloody chocolate stars ☆
Having new cases all at once, isn't something Laurel Snow is a stranger to, however, when those cases start to implicate a Councilman, her friend's Kate ex husband and a law firm who's representing a serial killer that Laurel caught, everything starts to get a little muddy. Her half sister isn't any help as well, always trying to get inside her head and complicate things between Laurel and Huck's newfound relationship. They're just getting their bearings on being a couple and what they mean for each other. Laurel will have to face demons from the past and her sister's cunning shenanigans in order to solve her cases.
True to her writing style in the other Laurel Snow books, you'll be guessing until the very end who the killer is, making Laurel travel different avenues in her investigation and being stalled by her half sister's mind games. Rebecca Zanetti will make you wonder and change your mind a few times on who is doing what, until the ending climax. I'd loved the other books and hope there's more to come in the Laurel Snow series.

You Can Die, by Rebecca Zanetti, is a fast-paced, intelligent, romantic thriller. In this third Laurel Snow standalone novel, FBI Agent Laurel Snow must track down a dangerous serial killer. With help from Captain Huck Rivers, her team, friends and furbabies, will Agent Snow save the the day?
No spoilers, pick up your copy and find out today.
Also know, there are no tstl moments. Any questionable actions are properly explained.
I thoroughly enjoyed this thrilling tale.

I didn't see the ending to this story coming. Which was surprising as I thought I had figured out who it was halfway through and was wrong! I did think the ending was kind of lackluster and short. I still enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the next in the series to find out what happens with Abigail and Zeke!

Another great addition to this series! I'm happy the third book wasn't the final one and it looks like there will be more to come. These books really keep me guessing until the end to find out who the killer is, I love that they're not predictable. Abigail is still around trying to insinuate herself into Laurel's life and putting doubts into her mind about her relationship with Huck. We also finally get to meet Laurel's father in this book and you can see the similarities between him and Abigail. A lot of characters from the last book make an appearance so I would recommend reading this series in order.
Thanks to Netgalley and Kensington Books for the arc.

I received an advanced reader's copy of You Can Die by Rebecca Zanetti from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Overall, I quite enjoyed this novel and it made for a quick, easy read. While it is better to read the previous two books in this series to grasp the full context and plot threads, it isn’t impossible to pick up the main themes if you’ve jumped in with this novel (book three).
The main characters - FBI agent Laurel Snow and Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck Rivers - were an interesting match.
Initially they seem to be an unlikely pair with the circumstances of their meeting and earlier encounters, but their chemistry was hot, the banter was engaging, and the action was swift. All in all, this novel was well written and the plot was engaging.

Laurel just got back home and she is given a new case. This is one that is hitting close to home since it is Kate’s ex husband who turns up dead. Abigail is back to pestering Laurel and Huck while being as twisted and cunning as ever. You will want nothing more than to see Abigail get what she deserves. Then more bodies start to pile up and they have to figure out who is killing these people before more end up dead. During all of this Laurel gets a surprise she never saw coming. Will they determine who the serial killer is while she and Huck move to a more serious relationship? I was given an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Rebecca Zanetti scores another winner with You Can Die, the third entry in the Laurel Snow series.
FBI wunderkind, Laurel Snow is used to working alone. But now she's got an office to lead, a team to manage, and an increasingly complicated personal life. While she's learning to navigate her budding relationship with Captain Huck Rivers and trying to avoid her half-sister Abigail's mind games, Laurel finds herself in the midst of a killer's spree.
When a dead man is identified as Laurel's office manager Kate's, ex-husband, the Seattle FBI office asks Laurel to help with the case. After all, the victim lived in her town, Genesis Valley, WA and it's where Laurel's new satellite FBI office is located. Unfortunately, Victor's murder is only the first with ties to the town.
Readers familiar with Rebecca Zanetti will appreciate the twists, turns, and romantic heat of #YouCanDie. Even if you can figure out the murderer early on, it's still a captivating read for fans and newbies alike. #YouCanDie can be read as a standalone but readers who start with the first novel #YouCanRun will be thankful they did.
Thanks to #Netgalley for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh, how I love this series and anything Rebecca Zanetti writes. Happy sigh.
Typically, I don't pick up FBI agent-type series because I want more of a standalone experience, but the Laurel Snow series has the opposite effect on me. Each book is a compete story (a violent crime spree to stop), but there's an overarching storyline with Laurel's half sister that still needs to resolve. That means more Laurel down the road, yippee! But, hopefully, the overarching storyline resolves in the next book or two, or it may start to get stale.
Laurel's relationship with Fish and Wildlife officer Hunk, er, Huck (dreamy sigh) has also slowly grown through the series. They are perfect together, and the slow build is a good thing; too many romantic suspense novels fast track the romance part. To that end, I'd refer to this novel as a suspense novel with a hint of thriller more than romantic suspense. The romance between Laurel and Huck, while toe curling and at the same time not overly described, is more to give us a breather from the murder and mayhem and also to make our law-enforcement officers more three dimensional.
I almost always figure out the culprit in any suspense novel. What can I say? It's a gift. That said, Ms. Zanetti managed to keep me guessing until the end with this one. The plot is slowly drawn out, with clues uncovered every step of the way, until finally it all makes sense.
So, the three books in this series can stand alone, but I strongly suggest reading them all sequentially, and not too far apart. You'll have a greater appreciation of the characters and a better understanding of all the nuances at play.
I received a copy of this book for free from the publisher and Netgalley. I'm writing this review voluntarily, and it reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!

A third book that I devoured and where everything is accelerating !
If I really liked the first two books, this third book has a more personal side that I particularly appreciated !
What I particularly liked :
- the slightly cozier atmosphere of this book ... It's cold, there are dead people BUT there is a small mountain town side that I liked (I'm SO fan of Laurel's future home !)
- the plot which was super twisted (so many contradictory clues and a very unexpected culprit !) But what is most exciting is the whole subplot that goes futher around the family of Laurel and which takes a more disturbing turn (I don't know who is the scarier of the two psychopaths in the family !)
- the characters !! I love Laurel who is both very analytical and very human (she reminds me a bit of Dr. Brennan in the Bones tv series !) but the secondary characters are just as endearing !
Well except her sister Abigail but I love her precisely because she's a monster xD I love seeing her manipulate and torture the people around her =)
- the romance which is both sweet and sexy ... And which takes an unexpected turn in this book (THE REVELATION !! I can't wait to see how it's going to be like !!)
In short, a third book full of twists ! For fans of police romances with serial killers and tv series like Bones, I recommend it !

I loved this book the storyline had some real twists in it which i loved and the characters are fantastic I had a hard time putting it down. The storyline really kept you guessing and the killer was a total shock I was not expecting that, I also hope she writes more in this series because they are definitely a page turner.

In the frequently frozen and harsh winter of the Pacific Northwest, a new serial killer has emerged taking out men who have an apparent connection in business and from their youth. They have all become prominent in their communities but are not particularly good men. One of the victims is close to an employee of Special Agent Laurel Snow. Laurel recently established a field office in her hometown of Genesis Valley overseeing various cases. What complicates matters is Laurel’s super scary, whack job half-sister, Abigail, and a father she never knew turning up to cause more trouble as well as being a near victim himself.
Laurel’s personal life and professional life collide with Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck Rivers who assists her on the investigations. While being intelligent enough to be considered a genius, the same as her creepy sister, Laurel does not really understand how to navigate a relationship but is willing to try with Huck. She also gets help from her employees in trying to figure out who the killer is but bodies keep dropping at an alarming rate.
With Laurel’s narcissistic, and in her opinion, criminal father reappearing, adding to her already difficult caseload, she must navigate several fraught situations while questioning possible suspects and tracking down clues from the past. Adding another layer of trouble, Abigail, who likes to pop up uninvited to play her sick psychological games making a nuisance of herself as much as possible and just maybe, she is a suspect too.
Third in the Laurel Snow series, this story will have readers guessing to the end who the perpetrator is with lots of tension, deadly actions, and a little romance to balance the heavy load. While this rural area seems to have a preponderance of serial killers, it is clear that evil does not just live in big cities. Ms. Zanetti does a fine job of keeping this reader’s interest and looking forward to the next in the series.

This was a lot more interesting and complex than I thought it would be. The murders were so creepy and the mystery was thrilling. I thought the characters were fleshed out well. Definitely would read again.

You Can Die …by
Rebecca Zanetti
Another Laurel Snow spectacular story. As usual, Ms Zanetti really keeps you guessing! You want to keep hurrying through the chapters to see what happens next, yet you want to stop and think and try to figure it all out before Laurel does. The story moves quickly with lots of tangents to throw you off.
Laurel gets her FBI unit and starts trying to put together her office and team. The story starts straight off with Laurel being called to a murder which quickly turns into another serial killer case.
Of course the story also has more personal interplay with the lovely Huck Rivers and Laurel dating and figuring out how to be a couple. Also more of creepy, psycho half-sister Abigail! You really just want someone to shoot her! And just to really shake things up, dear old dad shows back up in town. Creepy Zeke Caine goes a long way to showing how Abigail got so messed up!
Just saying, I REALLY want Laurel to get Abigail… and creepy dad too! Jail, death, either will do! They are just SO evil!
This story kept me guessing till the end! Can’t wait for the next one! Five Stars all the way.
*** My thanks to the Publisher and NetGalley. This is my honest review given in exchange for the ARC of this book. ***

This book is fantastic! Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down! Laurel is an FBI agent investigating very creepy murders with lots of potential suspects. Among them are her biological father and her half sister. As complications pile on, she is thrown one complication after another.
The plot is complex and tightly woven, while the heroine is likable, but also complicated and flawed. I was totally immersed in the story and stayed up way too late in the night to finish it. This one is a must read for fans of the genre. The author is on my must read authors' list.

I was dying to read this book and I’m so glad Kensington Books approved me for the arc because seriously I couldn’t wait!
Onto the review now.
Story wise, I don’t have any major complaints from this book I was already invested in the story and curious to see what’s next but I think I started seeing Zanetti’s writing patterns on this third book of this series.
That’s neither a good or bad thing, it just means that I know what I can expect for the next time…
So for me now, details are getting a lot clearer to decipher, twists are not hitting that hard, plot holes and missed directions are getting harder to overlook and repetitive dialogue and behaviours are starting to stick out like a sore thumb.
But this probably ties with the fact that I read 85% of this book in one sitting and sacrificed precious sleep time on a work day to stay up till 4am and read.
If you’re a normal person who reads books at a normal pace you might not encounter or entirely miss the majority of the issues I found.
In the end, #3 of this series was still entirely too gripping, interesting and fast paced.
I wasn’t too shocked by the final reveal and I think all this build up was for nothing, we didn’t get much progress about the continuing plot line from the other 2 books so while this was great and fun I was curious to see what would happen next (I still am) even tho I dont think it added much to the overall continuation of the series.
Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Books for the digital ARC!
PS: I get that you’re trying to reach as many people as possible trying to pass this as a stand-alone read, after all I stated Jo Nesbo’s Harry Hole series from book #4 so I do get it, but you have to tone it down with the physical descriptions every time a character gets introduced in the beginning chapters of the books.
We get it from the first time you described Huck that he’s build like a tank or that Laurel and Abigail look like twins one time should be enough for new readers, old readers don’t even need that!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
The cases in these books are fascinating! I love that you get a new serial killer in each book and they are solved by the end. It is important to read this series in order. Smart, edgy, thrilling , entertaining book,
