180 Devotions for When Life is Hard by Barbour Staff is perfect for teenage boys. I was interested in this copy to add to my school library, but then I realized that since we have a 2-week checkout, a devotional might not be the route to go. However, I continued reading it to recommend it to students who might ask about religious content.
Each devotion is set up with a Bible verse and commentary, followed by a prayer. The devotions are quick and easy reads, a factor important in today's digital natives who digest social media content in short snippets. The author addresses topics important to teenage boys, such as bravery & strength, obedience, and respect,
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is a great devotional for young boys. The devotions are encouraging and insightful. They speak truths that teenage boys need to hear and give uplifting messages.
This book's devotions are all relatable to what a teenage boy is going through. I thought the author did really well at explaining the verses in a way that a teenager could understand. I liked how there were different subject matters and how every devotional points the reader to the Lord. A great gift to encourage a teen to begin or continue the habit of daily devotions.
