I reviewed this with a 12-year old boy in mind, trying to sense its appeal for that age group. While I thought the topics were appropriate, the stories didn’t grab me. They seemed a bit long and I had to hunt for the nuggets of wisdom. The layout didn’t appeal to me either, seeming a bit stark for a pre-teen. This devotion has been great! I’ve been reading to to my boys 8 and 10 each morning at breakfast. The devotions are relatable, easy to understand and also easy to apply. I love that the scripture is included and also a prayer related to the topic. Also, the the daily topics center around truly interesting things that catch the kids attention! Definitely recommend this one!

This devotional for young boys would be a great gift. It will help them start the habit of having daily devotions. The devotions aren't very long so are the perfect length for this age group. There is scripture quoted followed by a simple writing directing the reader to the Lord. There is even a short prayer for them to pray. A really good, easy to read devotional.
