I loved Stacie's first book, Vibrant. Couldn't get enough of it, I reread it many times. So I expected great things from her follow-up, Glow. I was unfortunately disappointed by the book and didn't even finish it. If you enjoy books that you read a little at a time (a chapter a week) and build upon, you will probably like this one. But I personally enjoy books you can read straight through to the end without starting and stopping. That said, the book was full of great information and tips to keep you positive and motivated.
Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher, Harper Celebrate for providing this reader copy in exchange for an honest review. I got the copy after its publication. I already read the sample on my kindle. I was drawn to the book cover and the brief description, so I tried it. I'm glad I did it.
An enjoyable book about self-love. The daily AM and PM routine was a little repetitious, but I liked it. Each week has a different topics of daily life that you should work on or at least sit up and pay attention to. The pages are colorful, and the narrative is action-oriented, prompting the reader to to make choices immediately.
About love this book!! I found it to be useful and informative :) if ur looking to better yourself, I would highly recommend
An enjoyable self-love book 💖 A bit repetitive but I liked the daily AM and PM format. I've already been using many of the lessons and it has made me think about a few things that I may have normally overlooked.
I have read so many self help books over the years, that I really feel as if I don't need one more. However, the brief description caught my eye, and I decided to give this one a try. I am glad I did.
Each week has a theme of things in your life that you might need to work at, or at the very least, sit up and pay attention to. There are also morning and evening exercises.
I found myself lapsing a bit at times, missing a day here or there. I've learned over the years there is no need to play catch up and read a bunch of entries at once. Go at your own pace, like I do, and don't worry in you end up doing Tuesday's practice on Friday. You'll get more out of it that way.
Overall, this is a five star book and a welcome addition to my day.
Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This intentional and exciting book encouraged self reflection, practice, and conversation about self care and energy I found really beneficial.
Its nice to have a guide but this book seems overly done and a bit to long in my opinion. While its nice to have a follow along. I did not keep my interest.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC for the unbiased review of this publication.
The hot pink cover and one of my favorite words as the title. I knew I had to read this book. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC for the purpose of this review. I found the information helpful but there wasn't much I hadn't read in books before. I'm rating it three stars.
In this constant everyday world of endless scrolling, comparisons and FOMO we all need something to actually be mindful of ourselves before things get worse. Self care is a very overused term and a very underrated approach we actually take in reality.
Most times the term “self care” is taken as something very luxurious, similar to the concept of taking vacations and splurging. I do feel it is very misunderstood.
I feel this book is a very much needed entry at this point. It tries to cover almost every single that a person would need to focus on if they are really concerned about themselves when they feel they do need a break from everyone and everything.
The book covers activities and affirmations for thirteen weeks which I feel is so well covered when it comes to so many aspects in a person’s life which need focus and attention.
I love the prompts. They aren’t repetitive which I really appreciate. The pages are colourful and the writing is action oriented which will prompt the reader to make a choice there and then.
I find the book really helpful and I am thinking of getting a copy as soon as it is available.
Thank you, Harper Celebrate, for the advance reading copy.
