I thought this was a great juvenile non-fiction book. It was engaging and informative. I will wholeheartedly recommend this book to younger readers at my library.
I found The Last Unexplored Place on Earth to be a fascinating read. Alvin sure is an amazing scientific tool, and it was inspiring to read about the variety of ways it has been utilized over the years!
This was a fabulous book for middle school/high school age readers, and I highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in history, women in STEM, science, undersea exploration, shipwrecks, and the Titanic wreckage. It was a dense read, and at first I thought the book moved a bit slow, as well as had a lot of names to remember. Once I figured out who was who in the building and piloting of the submersible, I felt like the book moved faster. It would be a great book for research and to supplement a textbook. It would also be great for adults who are looking for more information about the history of submersibles and how the Titanic wreckage was discovered. Well-written and fascinating!
