Fast- paced, creepy, chilling…Amber Garza creates a solid thriller with her book In a Quiet Town. The characters are well developed and very tangled in numerous deceits and family issues.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I have not read the author’s last book, A Mother Would Know, but was intrigued by this books synopsis and other's reviews.

the main character, Tatum reconnects with her estranged daughter. Almost immediately after they reconnect Tatum's daughter, she Adrienne comes up missing. Mysteriously no one seems interested in finding her. Is her fiancé responsible? Tatum is determined to find out what happened to Adrienne. The book is told between multiple perspectives which makes it much more interesting. I read it from cover to cover in one sitting. I could not put it down.

Highly recommend.

I received this ebook from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion and review. I thought it was written well. I think the story starts with a lot of information we don’t really need. I guess it’s good to have a background on characters but the information was basically useless once the plot started. I liked the book but I don’t know if it’s something I would read again

This is a new author to me and I LOVED this book! I definitely want to check out her previous book soon! The Quiet Town was a quick, intriguing read with likeable characters and unpredictable twists. I loved Tatums character and the relationship she had with her daughter. The narration changes kept the story flowing and loved the creepy vibe during the last few chapters!

5 stars!

WOW, this one has a few twists among the turns and by the end, I am not sure of the “good guy”. A good read, a little long and drawn out in places. A definite addition to your TBR list.

In a Quiet Town was my first Amber Garza book and I really enjoyed it.
The story was told from different perspectives and also shows the relationship between a mother and daughter, and never giving up love.
The charters are short, and it keep me on the edge of my seat.
I am really glad I chose this book and I will be reading more books by this author.

Yet another one to add to my May dud pile…… I’m sorry but this was boring as hell. There was no shocking twists or turns, it was painfully obvious what was at play and how things were going to turn out for the protagonist in this book. I liked Adrienne, I thought she was relatable, but ultimately my enjoyment of her character couldn’t save this plot line or conclusion. I will say that Tatum is the mom I wish I had on my side, and she was a badass in her own right. Lol

I liked reading this story from different perspectives. It did seem to jump around from person to person a lot but I liked seeing it from different angles. This was definitely a fast paced thriller with some psychological aspects. I couldn’t put this book down.

Thank you to NetGalley, Amber Garza & Harlequin Trade Publishing for an arc of In a Quiet Town in exchange for an honest review. This review is wholly my own & may not be reproduced.

I’ll be honest, the cover of this book is what caught my attention. It’s gorgeous. The description was “kind of” appealing, but pretty vague as far as a synopsis goes.

Tatum and her daughter Adrienne are estranged since Tatum’s husband disowned Adrienne. Tatum wants to reconnect and when she finally makes her attempt at doing so, Adrienne has gone missing. No one – her husband or the police – will take her seriously and refuse to investigate more into the disappearance. Then a mysterious man shows up claiming to be Adrienne’s fiancé, but can Tatum trust him? Will she be able to find Adrienne before it’s too late?

I have mixed feeling about this one and rate it a 3/5 stars. I didn’t hate it but didn’t love it either. It was just ok. The pacing was a little slow and hard to keep my attention. Told from multiple POVs. I did enjoy the never-ending love that Tatum showed for Adrienne. I’m not a big fan of stories revolving around religions/cults, etc.

I don’t really have much else to add. It was pretty bland and I likely won’t promote it.

Thank you to Harlequin Trade publishing and NetGalley for an ARC of this.. The story is compelling and told in multiple POV moving back and forth in time. It got a little confusing for a bit. But the resolutions were done well. Overall, I read most of this in one sitting because I had to know how it turned out.. The unease is built slowly and sneaks up on you quietly, like a rabid fox. Gave me goosebumps towards the end

This was a thrilling read which kept me captivated until the end. I enjoyed the writing style and how the story evolved from multiple viewpoints, in both past and present, as I learned much more about the characters as a result.

I am a huge Amber Garza fan! This book can be tricky to follow because of the many different POV's but its totally worth it. I thought originally it was going to have a lot of religious undertones but it didn't go the way I expected and I LOVED this book! Will definetly be reccommending to my book friends!

This read was a breeze and I feel like I flew right through it, it was that good! I love story lines with multiple point of views and this one was one of those. Some people that make or breaks them with a book, I'm either way honestly. I sometimes struggle with books that have a religious theme to them, I'm for some reason not a huge fan of them. This one isn't OVERLY that, but Tatum's husband is a pastor, so there is an element of how their family is expected to behave in town and how Adrienne, the daughter, was raised. I enjoyed this read!

This was my first book by Amber Garza and definitely won’t be my last. Her writing was a breeze to read and I enjoyed the multiple viewpoints of this story. I always feel more connected to a book when you get to be inside the head of multiple characters. The journey from past to present throughout the book slowly revealed all the missing pieces of the puzzle and kept you connected up until the very end. Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for this ARC!

This was a bummer for me, I have read and loved all of Amber's books, it didn't feel like a Thriller to me,

I loved this one! I started it yesterday morning while my husband was golfing and didn’t move from the couch until I finished it. The writing style drew me in from the beginning, and while it was a little predictable, I couldn’t get enough. This was my first Amber Garza book but it certainly won’t be my last.
