This has been an awesome series, and I'm going to be sad to say good bye after Sacrifice! I love these brothers, they've been through a lot, and things have been progressive been getting harder, not easier or better, and yeah, some mistakes have been made along the way, but people learn from their mistakes.

I loved how each brother has gotten a novel, or is going to with Michael with Sacrifice, from Chris, Gabriel, Hunter, and then Nick, even though Hunter isn't an Merrick, he's a part of their group since he helped them instead of harmed them in Storm!

I loved all the different gifts these guys have, and then how strong their ladies (and Nick's guy) were, because yeah, it takes a strong person to be with these guys, because they have power, and power can be good or bad, but it does corrupt if you aren't strong, and if you're strong, you're often stubborn. So thus, a strong partner!

People really dislike their family, what with each boy having a different element, even the twins, which you'd think wouldn't happen, but it did, and yeah, I just want to shake their dissenters, because they were just born with it, they haven't done anything bad. You guys, on the other hand, have. So remember glass houses and throwing rocks at them!

Yeah, I really enjoyed these books, and I can't wait for Sacrifice to come out!

This book was requested when I was young and requested more books than I could possibly read. Sadly, I no longer have access to this book and my tastes have changed. Thus I will not be able to give feedback on this title.

It has been 8 years since I requested this title and I still haven't read it. I am still interested in the book and have since purchased a copy for my shelf but I don't know when I will get to this at this point, if ever. This series is simply fantastic. I really enjoyed this novella where we get to learn more about Nick! I can't wait to read the other books in this series and Kemmerer's future works.

Okay so I read the main series so long ago I forgot about everything, apparently even that I haven’t actually read book 2 haha. So probably just spoiled myself if I do ever read it. Oh well. I did enjoy this short novella. I like that it explores LGBTQ characters. I also like the way the author was able to make you love the characters even in such a short amount of time. I would totally read more in this series and from this author.

Even though Michael is my favorite Merick brother, Nick is the one I can relate to most as a person. He isn’t a bad boy, he is the good guy who people expect to be responsible, to be stable, someone they can count on. But what does he want? He wants to get out, he feel guilty, but he wants to go to a place where he isn’t known, where he isn’t known as half of a unit but as an individual. But at the same time he is afraid because what if he cannot function on his own?

On top of this, he isn’t willing to admit his sexuality. He doesn’t need more problems what with people trying to kill them.

Adam. So he won my heart as soon as we were introduced. He had to leave school after being bullied about his sexuality but he doesn’t let people get to him. He won’t let people scare him because they cannot scare him into being straight (his words). He is a strong character. We need more of him. He has to be in Nick’s story and if he isn’t the love interest then….. I am not even going to contemplate that.

This is torture alright? I don’t think I can wait till Nick’s story. Please give it to me. Pretty please with cherries on top.

Really enjoyed this foray into Nick's world. The subject matter was unexpected but awesome. I'm glad we're going to get this perspective!

For a short story this one was a huge shock. I didn't see this coming at all. Nick has a huge secret which only makes me love him more. He was my favourite character in the beginning but then he started going out with Quinn, who I hate and he kind of lost his charm, but after this short story he is back on the top. I honestly can't wait to read his book, book #4. If only I had the third one and the fourth one was out.

This one wasn't for me I'm afraid. Found it difficult to get into
