I’m so upset that I trouble getting this downloaded onto my kindle. It looks and sounds so cute!
I love your romance books!
This is the final book on the Highland Falls series, and I am so sad to see the series end. Highland Falls is a quirky little town, with fun characters, but each book is a standalone, so you need not have read the others (though I am not sure why you wouldn’t!). A young widow trying to move on, her childhood crush who is also her brother’s best friend, a fake dating situation and a ghostly mystery….what could go wrong?
This was a great ending to the series, a definite 5 star finale!
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley; all opinions are my own.
Reunited on Sugar Maple Road (A Highland Falls Book 6) by Debbie Mason is a great story that keeps you entertained from start to finish! A tragic accident brings a divorced couple together again that leads to a HEA ending that’s as sweet as can be. Highly recommended!!
Another great story by Debbie Mason, reunited and sugar maple Road
Highly recommend
What a great read. Great characters.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Em and Josh. They have known each other for all their lives. He is Em’s brother best friend. Em is a widow and a police officer. Josh is a teacher and football coach. Emil’s having trouble getting over the death of her husband. Josh offers to fake date her so she gets accustomed to dating. They start dating she helps him with football team. He helps her with a case she is working on. They both fall in love.
Mason can be counted on to provide a good solid read.
I’m a sucker for the fake dating story line because the expectation is it will turn into something real. Both Josh and Emma have experienced extreme loss in their relationships and can’t seem to find a way forward.
However, they both yearned for each other when they were younger. Fall weather does bring sparks to their relationship.
What I liked best about Em was that she was a cop and drove a sports car. Josh was a dreamboat fireman, bring on the flames.
The supernatural side of the plot was a bit hokey for me, but it glued the parts together.
I’m so sorry—this was a DNF for me. I only made it 17%. The fake dating her brother’s best friend is totally what caught my attention, but I couldn’t even make it to the good part. The beginning is captivating but the river rescue just about wrecked me. My least favorite trope is spouse/partner/fiancé died (why I didn’t stay away I’m not sure) & then the dead fiancé stays as a ghost. I just can’t do the dead fiancé love triangle or whatever is going on.
If you're a seasonal reader like I am then you're going to want to pick this up this is a great fall read.
Emma Scott is the local police officer and a pretty straightforward woman with a no-nonsense attitude. After the death of her fiance her loved ones are concerned about her being lonely setting her up on dates. Josh is her brothers best friend and he's known as being a Serial Dater and makes the suggestion for her to fake date him to improve his image and to get her family off her back.
There was just so much to enjoy about this book. If you enjoy the friends to lovers trope or the fake dating to something more kind of books you'll like this as well. Emma and Josh are total opposites ( so also good for the opposites attract lovers out there) and I enjoyed seeing how they clashed with certain things and how they worked together. There was kind of a mystery bit in the book and it was interesting seeing how Emma was following leads but also Josh helping her out I guess not to be so straight and narrow with it because it wasn't an actual case it was just a little hobby she was kind of looking into but clearly someone didn't want her to look into it. You know what I keep trying to think of the things to speak about when it comes to this book but finding it hard to find the words without giving too much away but I recommend you lovely readers to check this book out really enjoyable book.

This is the newest book and #6 in Debbie Mason's Highland Falls series. Overall I have really enjoyed this series (I've read all the books), however, Reunited on Sugar Maple Road is not my favorite. This book follows the story of Emma and Josh. Emma is still grieving the loss of her fiancé, Brad. This book takes place around Halloween, which makes it a perfect fall/autumn read. Highland Fall is full of ghosts, spirits, and witches that are stirring things up around the town. I personally am not into paranormal things, so this really wasn't my cup of tea, however, many probably would really enjoy this aspect of the book. The overall themes of this book is healing, grieving, believing, and love/romance. I am hoping there are more Highland Falls books and that I enjoy the storyline better.
The h comes home after losing her fiancé and has a miscarriage. She is a police officer in town. On her way home she stops to rescue a family whose car has gone into the freezing river. While trapped in the river, she sees her dead fiancé who encourages her not to give up. The main focus is the h and H solving the mystery of the death of sisters , one of whom had been accused of murder. The H is the high school football coach and a firefighter.

This is a perfect fall read!! It has all the small town, witch, ghosts and Halloween vibes you want.
There were times I felt the story jumped a bit and I had to reread to catch some of the details.
I loved the supporting characters and found they added to the story. Emma and Josh are just wonderful and you can't help but love them. But the scene, book stealer is definitely Gus ❤️
I loved this story!
It had me feeling all the feels and more.
Loved the paranormal aspect.
The authors writing flows effortlessly and keeps you engaged throughout the book.
Just a fun, cozy story that makes for perfect reading.
Highly recommended book!

A great story to read in a couple of days. Loved the story of friends, relatives and communities that tie together. Recommend.
This is the perfect fall read. What a beautiful cover. It was enjoyable, entertaining and well written.. There was friendship, sweet romance and love. I loved Emma and Josh's story. They were realistic, interesting and relatable. This book was the perfect blend of plot, dialogue, thoughts and description.
Emma is determined not to cave to her friends' pressure to start dating again. After losing her fiancee on their wedding day, and their baby a week later, Emma is ok with the idea of being single for the rest of her life. She's got plenty of friends, lives in a small town where everyone knows everyone else and has a job she loves as a police officer. But then there's Josh.
Josh is her brother's best friend. Emma has known Josh most of her life, but just as friends. Finally giving in to the pressure, Emma agrees to fake-date Josh, both to get her in practice and fix his reputation as a serial dater. Can these two friends turn into something more?
I enjoyed their push-pull relationship, the fun banter, the "haunted" house and all their friends and family who felt they had a say in the relationship. This has been a great series that I'm hoping continues! The book is also fall themed, perfect for right now!

Reunited on Sugar Maple Road is actually the 6th and final book in the Highland Falls series by Debbie Mason. This was my first book of the series (and author) so can confidently say these can be read as standalone stories.
Emma Scott returned home to Highland Falls just over a year ago. After tragedy took her fiancé from her on their wedding day, Emma has been spending all her time working and caring for her fiancés dog.
Josh Callahan is Emma’s older brother’s best friend, the towns most available bachelor and all together a pain in Emma’s life. Josh is a serial dater, never committing to more than two dates since his wife left him for another man two years ago.
Josh and Emma are tired of people telling them they need to move on. They come up with a fake dating scheme that will surely throw everyone off of them and let them live in peace for a few weeks.
Spending time together ignites some long lost feelings these two had for each other in their younger years. Never acting on their feeling for fear of upsetting Emma’s brother and Josh’s best friend, there is no denying there is chemistry there. After ending their fake dating relationship both Josh and Emma realize they both want more, but are they ready to put their pasts behind them and start fresh together?
This is a sweet closed door romance story. I loved Josh and Emma’s story and really enjoyed the other characters of Highland Falls. I’ve put the rest of this series on my tbr and Amazon wish list. This is a solid 4 star read for me!

Ever since the death of her fiance over a year ago Emma Scott has just been existing. Her family is truly worried for and wants to find a way that they can help her. Her brothers best friend Josh hates seeing her hurt and tries to step in, hoping to bring her back to the world of the living. Neither wants a relationship but both want everyone to know that they are okay. The two decide to fake date in hopes of getting everyone to leave them alone. Spending so much time with one another brings forth real feelings though. Will the two remain just friends or will their true feelings come forth. Follow along to find out what the future holds for these two.
I'm sad to see this series finished. This particular installment was unique in the series, with some paranormal elements as well as dealing with grief and loss. I adore this brother's best friend romance a lot, and it is perfect for the fall season! I'm excited to see what Mason brings is next!
This was such a fun story to read. I liked returning to Highland Falls. It was so sad learning about Em's past. I liked how the book centered around the Seaton House, ghosts, and mysteries. It was full of fun matchmaking and fake dating for Em and Josh.Em seemed to bring out the best in everyone and she was such a remarkably strong character. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
