Such an adorable ending to the Highland Falls series! I've been with this series from the beginning, and thoroughly enjoyed them all, but I do think that the emotional punch of Reunited on Sugar Maple Road was something extra special to end the series with. I love the touch of the supernatural, while still being an otherwise "normal" little town and typical people.
A cute book that I thought for sure would be like a hallmark fall movie. However the author through in a mystery with a Haunted House and deceased beings. While it was a cute story it felt choppy and didn’t flow. There were a few times that I thought, is this book over yet? But with a happy ending and the Haunted house issue solved it was an ok story.
Reunited on Sugar Maple Road by Debbie Mason. Debbie Mason ends this series with a romantic love story full of kindness and mystery.
I enjoyed this book. It was heart warming and romantic. It was the best one that Debbie Mason has written this year. I an grateful that netgalley and the publishers let me read this in exchange for an honest review.
I really wanted to love "Reunited on Sugar Maple Road" but it was hard. The characters were loveable and very relatable. Emma went through so much and she's such a fighter. But....the story was a bit of a stretch. It went off in directions that I didn't think were really believable and just a bit overkill. I also feel like maybe it should have been marketed as a Halloween book.
I have read a few other books by Debbie Mason but it was awhile ago. So when I saw I had a chance to read I new one I jumped on it. This was such a heartwarming story! This is a book of second chances, learning to move past the pain after losing a loved one. I can't wait to go back and read the other books in this series. I HIGHLY recommend this book.
Thank you NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for allowing me to read this ARC in advance for my honest opinion.
Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Emma is happy with her quiet life. Her friends think otherwise. She has known Josh for many years. When they start going out, their chemistry was through the roof. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read her next one.
What a wonderful, heartwarming story! I loved returning to Highland Falls where I feel like I have the same family and friends as the characters in the book. This is a book of second chances, learning to move past the pain after losing a loved one. It is the importance that life is for the living. I loved Emma’s and Josh’s story and how they worked through their difficulties, never alone but always with family and friends. And with the help of a couple of ghosts, maybe a one hundred year old cold case will be solved, too. I love Debbie Mason’s books and highly recommend them!
This was a great book from start to finish. I’ve read one other book from this author and it was also fantastic. Debbie Mason is becoming one of my favorites. I love her writing. Can’t wait for more from her!
Thank you NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the arc of this book!
I found this book difficult to follow as it was the fifth book in a series. The characters were well developed before this book. I do think it would probably be a great series if started from the beginning. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the early read in exchange for my honest opinion.
Reunited on Sugar Maple Road is book 6 in the Highland Falls series by Debbie Mason.
I swear I could read Mason’s books every single day.
She stories are always the best. They immediately pull me in and hold me captive.
Her characters are realistic, engaging and go through the emotions. And to me that is hard to beat. The characters are likable and come alive on the pages.
And not to mention the setting. That small town feeling…. Ahhhh, I love it.
I loved being back in Highland Falls with Emma and Josh. I loved watching their relationship grow. I was very invested and interested to see where the road led them.
I found the story filled with romance, lighthearted banter, and some very funny moments.
It’s a charming, entertaining, and heartwarming read!
The perfect fake dating read to snuggle up with on the couch and get totally lost inside the pages.
I look forward to more books from this talented and gifted author.

I loved this book! Getting over past loves, whether due to death or divorce is never easy, but Emma and Josh both feel the push to move on with their lives, whether they feel ready to or not. The question is, how? With some help from friends, family and a friendly spirit or two, and perhaps a bit of resistance from some, they try to make their way forward. There are ups and downs along the way, a bit of mystery, this Halloween season. Entertaining and heartwarming, I couldn’t put it down, but also hated to see it end. I highly recommend it!
