A solid, thoughtful, and practical Grimoire styled book. I think this is a good book for witches that are new to the craft or those that are curious. It is also makes a really good gift - a way to acknowledge you see someone's spark and nudge them along perhaps.
This book was so good. Packed into this little book was everything that I needed to get started. Everything was clearly written and explained. While i have only tried a few I'm very happy with the information i have at my fingertips now!! Thank you for the ARC netgalley.
While I enjoyed this book, I sadly live in an area where this type of lifestyle is frowned upon. I enjoyed the simplicity of the spells and how they were laid out for daily use. I'll use this as much as I can moving forward in my witch craft future.
I thought this book was a great introduction to spell casting for those who might be curious and want to dip their toes in a bit. I like the format of reading one spell a day but sometimes felt like I wanted a bit more - though I guess, considering the format of the book, these bite-sized pieces were more the intention.
An exciting new look at witchcraft and whitewitchs. Easy diy spells anyone could do, to better your life.
I thought I would try something different in reading this, as things like this always interest me, but I'm not sure I'm the target audience.
The book begins with a nice introduction, setting out the format of the book ahead. This is followed by 365 spells covering all topics imaginable. I was quite surprised to see some super modern things in there such as 'spell to banish an internet troll'.
I found some of the ingredients to be very specific and it didn't always feel like it was something that would be easy for 'every day' or beginner level.
The book was well set out and clear to read and follow, but I did find the lack of images a bit off-putting.
Overall, quite interesting but really just not for me.
My thanks to NetGalley and the Publishers for sending me this ARC in return for an honest review.
This is a great resource for both new and seasoned witches. There are sections on the history of spellcraft, getting started, and spells/rituals. Each section is then further broken down, and easy to navigate. I especially liked the symbols guide at the beginning of the book, as this is something I often struggle with myself.
The spells were written simple enough that even the newest of witches could understand them and how to do them. Do not mistake this simplicity for something that doesn't work! This book is packed with information and spells to fit all needs.
This would be a great addition to any witches shelf.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
A Spell A Day is one of the best spell books I've come across to date! The book is set out in a way that's really easy to follow and use and doesn't overload you with heavy and difficult to source (material wise) spells. I loved how you can use your phone to send spells to yourself, too! Certainly very modern and rolling with the times. The Kindle version didn't have any pictures, which was unusual, and I'm hoping the physical copy will include some. I'm hoping to get a physical copy of this book to cherish as there are so many spells I want to use and it's hard to go back on the kindle version and find exactly what you want. Definitely recommend this to anyone curious about magic and spells and wanting to try some out for themselves.
What an excellent book to help out the new witch. I've not done all of them but the ones I have have been easy and fun to do. Can't wait to continue throughout the day
I'm going to start this review by saying I love this type of book, but have now learned that I prefer to have these as hardcopy, reference books rather than ebooks - we live, we learn.
I have always found Paganism and Wicca really interesting and was excited to receive this book! I read a lot of similar books about 20 years ago as a young teen and was looking forward to diving back in.
This book is for the modern witch and details the etiquette and laws of magic. It goes into a lot of detail around the different ways to practice and explains a lot of common buzzwords/jargon. I think this book is a really good resource for all levels. This is more of a reference book than a read from start to finish book and I know I will refer back to it many times into the future. I am a perpetual student with depression so there are some really useful spells in this book for me.
Thank you to Netgalley for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I wish the author the very best of luck in their future career.

While I class myself as pagan not wiccan I am interested in all types of the religions surrounding both practices. I have to confess I had not heard previously of Tree Carr but can say that their collection of spells contained within a Spell a Day provides a plethora of options and is a great reference and guide for those new to craft or seasoned witches alike.
Covering numerous topics and methods the collection includes rituals, spells and enchantments to practice your craft and learn new skills. Some can even be done on the go and in the modern world where it sometimes can be hard to find time I found these particularly helpful. Numerous ways and methods are covered as well including potions, rituals, herb magic, planetary magic, lucid dreams, tarot readings, divinations, ceremonies, crystal magic and much more besides. Including gorgeous illustrations and a very detailed and useful introduction this is the perfect reference guide for those starting out or to add to a growing collection, if you are anything like me, of books on the subject.
Laid out in easy to follow and navigate ways it is really a joy to read. I haven’t obviously finished it yet since it has not been a year but I am enjoying it immensely and will be getting a physical copy to add to my bookshelf!

A fun little book, but not as useful or easy to enact as expected! It could be more bitesize and quicker!
Oh what a magical book! Obviously, but really this was a wonderful introduction to spell work and how to build a practice. I enjoyed the detail and still the flexibility that this offered. I feel everyone’s practice should be unique and there is room for growth, individuality, and fun through this book.
Great Book
Tree Carr provides some background information on the history of spellCraft and what spells are. She provides basic information on what the craft is, steps to used prior to performing a spell or ritual, and various spell to perform for everyday situations.
The author provides a great amount of original information that one may find beneficial in their day-to-day life. There are so many spells and rituals provided that a practitioner would love ti have this book in their resource library.
Highly recommend for beginners, as well, as advanced practitioners.
I was curious about this book. To see what kind of spell it could be. I liked it. It's interesting. Fresh and new. Didn't try any but interesting. I like the design.
This book is perfect for a person who is advanced in their spiritual practice. I did find some of the spells useful in here. I also enjoy the format style of the book too. Yes I would recommend it
As a witch of 30 years this book was lovely, it's full of nice to do spells with great detail and care, yes there is a could I wouldn't perform in my personal practice but that is perfectly fine.
Great for beginners and those practicing for years
Not your average book.
Great for "wannabe witches"
I am going to try lots from here, Tips given for moon phases and magical dates too.
You can even try with your mobile!
A collection of spells for every day of the year, combining potions and rituals for spells ranging from promoting good health to manifesting your dream holiday.
This seems like a very nice spell book for beginners, but I think a basic prior knowledge of spell craft would be beneficial before using this. A whole load of equipment is required for the spells, like crystals and various herbs, most of which I didn’t have to hand, and I didn’t feel the purpose of spell craft was every fully explained.
There’s a really wide range of spells in this book, some of which were very specific, from protecting your social media accounts from being hacked, to getting over an ex, to inspiring musical ability. There didn’t seem to be much order to the different spells, outside of whether they relate to air, water, earth, fire or spirit, and the instructions for each spell were all very similar, but I did enjoy the incorporation of modern technology and the importance placed on using locally available materials.
My favorite part of this book is that it goes through basics first. The author tells you about how to set a circle, an altar, etc. There is something in here for everyone! Spells for the moons, Sabbats, even Mercury retrograde. This is a book I'll need to keep as a reference!
