You absolutely must delve into this book! It's an absolute delight, brimming with humor and amusement. The two central characters are a source of endless hilarity, infusing every scenario with lightheartedness, ensuring that there's never a single dull moment. Despite the multitude of characters and intricate plot lines, the author's masterful storytelling weaves them together seamlessly. I never found myself perplexed or needing to retrace my steps. What truly stands out is how the author skillfully incorporates vivid details into the odd quirks of their lives, making them feel both ordinary and charmingly eccentric. It's as if I've encountered a few individuals who mirror these delightful personalities.

Dax and Daryl, two small-time crooks, concocted an ambitious plan to retire - frame themselves for kidnapping and murdering a rap superstars trophy wife in an unsolved missing person case! To guarantee their capture, they broke into the crime scene and left some incriminating evidence - their blood, saliva and.... *wink, wink* more intimate organic material - in the hope that the notoriety it gained would attract Hollywood producers and land themselves a movie deal! Their plan worked - and then it immediately failed!

What an intriguing and funny story this book is. Dax and Daryl are two hapless criminals who lie about committing a crime. just to hopefully get notoriety. Dax and Daryl are two highly entertaining characters. There's never a dull moment. This is a well written book. There are quite a few characters and points of view., but it's not confusing. There is some content that might not be for readers who are easily offended.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #RonertBryceMilburn and the authors #RobertBryceMulburn #RichardAdrian for my ARC of #TrueCriminals in exchange for an honest review.

First off I struggled a bit at the start with the narration of the characters, once I had them in my head though I loved the book. Very clever, funny and well written.

This is a raunchy but hilarious crime/satire story. It’s a little difficult to review because it falls under so many different genres. I will admit that this is not my typical read, but the characters are so wild and crazy that you can’t help but laugh out loud at the situations they get themselves into.

The story itself is quite long, so I wasn’t able to read this in one continuous go, but it was easy to pick back up each time. Even with numerous characters and POVs, I never felt myself getting confused or lost. The authors did a great job keeping everything organized. I really enjoyed the scenes in the interrogation room.

If you are easily offended, this probably isn’t the book for you. But if you have a sense of humor and want to have a good laugh, then I would highly recommend this novel!

Thanks to NetGalley and the authors for my free copy in exchange for my honest review!

This is not a book I would typically read. It is a raunchy humorous take on a crime story. I just couldn’t seem to get into this book.

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the free copy in exchange for my review.

Think of Laurel and Hardy and you will have Dax and Daryl, two hapless criminals who decide to lie about a crime that they did not commit, just for what they hope will lead to fame and fortune.
It’s humorous and smutty and will keep you smiling.

3.5 stars
This was a super fun book. It had some major laugh out loud moments. There were a lot of characters and a lot of stuff happening, however it didn’t get too confusing. I really hope to see more by these authors, as I’m always on the hunt for something that can genuinely make me laugh.

I received a free copy of, True Criminals, by Robert Bryce Milburn & Richard Adrian, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. These criminals are not the smartest at all. They do a crime to get famous, and it totally backfires on them. Daryl and Dax are in a league all of their own making. I could not get into this book, it was not very believable.

If you ever wondered what happened to those two zero-chance-of-success, horny, annoying guys you went to junior high and high school with who always sat at the back of the class, destined to be eternal losers, born and raised screw-balls...here you go.

Because this is classified into General Fiction (Adult), Humor and Satire, Mystery and Thrillers, naturally it doesn't fall into any one particular genre, but rolls a raunchy spin in the multiverse destined as un-classifiable. This makes a detailed review a bit more difficult without giving spoilers. The writer's voices have a sort of Chuck Palahniuk-esque flair. Punchy and clever. Here's what I mean:

"Glenn paused for several seconds...and then continued. "Honestly, I'm impressed. Both of you have somehow managed to get yourselves arrested and have your mugshots taken every single year since you graduated high school. Wait," he flipped a page in the envelope. "Let me correct myself–since you two dropped out of high school. That has to be some sort of world record, right?"

Similar to the writing style of Paul Neilan’s, APATHY, which I feel the Kirkus review of that one seemed less than desirable, possibly based on being showcased as General Fiction as well. I'm curious to see how the rest of the world tastes this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Nailed the Humor and Satire genre!

I wasn’t able to read it straight through cover to cover in one sitting. Pick it up, put it down, pick it back up, but STILL you won't miss a beat. You think about the characters when you’re not reading it because it streams and carries itself pretty damn well. I think that’s a massive indication of an truly entertaining read. This certainly won’t be every folks cup of tea, pop-tarts will baulk, but my time reading it was filled with smirks, laughs and eye-rolls at the characters lack of direction or intelligence.

This would be fun to see converted into a screenplay, if it isn’t already.

DAX in Darrell no last name or brothers and they decide when a local quarterback/rapper Adrian feels also known as G.I. ex ex is wife Jennifer goes missing that they’ll claim to be the perpetrators and get rich off of interviews and movies about their crime. Soon after getting this plan together with their friend Jimmy In tow Darrell calls 911 only to find out they’ll have to stand in line with the local crazies and homeless people also claiming to be the killer or kidnapper of Jennifer. Soon the brothers find out it isn’t just the local strays who want to be a part of this celebrity crime and the Befor over they will have to contend with an inspiring dildo maker ambulance driver, a mad woman Adrian himself and the criminal justice system. This was one of the funniest books I have ever read Darrell and DAX or the greatest brothers this should be a movie in real life not just in the book and I just want to say to the author I could’ve done without all of chapter 52 the beginning almost made me cry in the ending just grossed me out but having said that I would definitely read this book again it is so entertaining so well written I thoroughly enjoyed it and totally loved it! It is hard to give humorous books 5 stars but this one definitely deserves all five if not more. I just cannot say enough about this book it is so so good! I received this book from NetGalley and Robert Bryce Melbourne but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

This book is a must read! It’s fun and funny! The two main characters are a hoot! They keep every situation fun and never have a dull moment. There are so many characters and plots but it’s all written so well that it flows together perfectly. Not once was I confused or had to backtrack. And the way the author added detail to certain weird aspects of their lives felt so normal and quirky. I feel like I know a few guys who act like this.

This is an interesting book to review as it spans different genres. It’s pretty funny but it’s also a bit disturbing as I can believe people like this exist…. There are so many different characters and plot lines but the author keeps them under control so it is not confusing, I loved the detectives interviewing the brothers.
