In the cacophony of leadership literature, *Lead for a Change* emerges as a beacon of clarity and practical wisdom. Dr. Ronald S. Glickman, drawing from his **three decades of executive experience**, deftly navigates the treacherous waters of organizational transformation. This book isn't just about change management; it's a symphony of strategies that resonate with leaders across the globe.

Three Key Notes:

1. Clear Expectations - Glickman dismantles the myth that change management is about making everyone happy. Instead, he asserts that the true north lies in clear expectations. Like a seasoned cartographer, he charts the course, ensuring that stakeholders align on the compass points of performance measurement. No more wandering in the fog of ambiguity; this book provides the lighthouse.

2. Experiential Learning - Buckle up for a riveting ride through Glickman's case studies and real-world examples. He doesn't just preach; he walks alongside you, sharing the bruises from his own journey. Lead for a Change is a workshop in print format, urging leaders to learn from their missteps and victories. It's like having a mentor whispering sage advice in your ear.

3. Employee Engagement: People propel change. Glickman's mantra: "involve, support, and empower". He weaves employee engagement into the fabric of transformation. Whether you're a seasoned CEO or a fledgling team lead, this book reminds you that leadership isn't a solo act—it's a symphony where every instrument is valuable.

Narration - Timothy McKean's voice is the compass that guides us through this journey. His narration is like a warm handshake, inviting us to explore uncharted territories. With each word, he breathes life into Glickman's insights, making the audiobook an immersive experience.

In summary, Lead for a Change isn't just a book; it's a toolbox for transformation. Whether you're steering a multinational corporation or a small community project, Glickman's strategies will resonate. So, grab your highlighter, earmark those pages, and prepare to lead with clarity, courage, and compassion.

This was very easy to digest. I love how the principles of this book are tailored to the evolving workplace and workforce that we have. I had a lot of takeaways from this book I wish I had the printed copy for me to annotate, hehe. The end-of-chapter summaries are good as well and the questions presented are realistic and applicable to real-life situations. This book is a must-read for up-and-coming leaders of the new generation.

The author explores ways leaders can lead through times of change in ways that will make a difference. Using examples from his career in business provides guidance on how to successfully navigate change.

The narrator's voice is a bit monotoned and a bit dull at times. However, I found some gems in the subject matter. I think that this book is better consumed in written instead of audio format as it would be easier to follow concepts. I did find it a bit ego stroking whenever the author goes on about his achievements.

Back to my belief that business books are often a dime-a-dozen here, as we explore a lot of common sense business practices around change management. The plus side of reading this book is that it was organized logically, provided a decent framework for understanding change management practices, and logical and progressive steps for addressing the most common issues you'll face as you attempt to pivot or "right the ship" so to speak. If you know nothing about managing change, then this might be a good step to better understanding how to apply a logical approach to your situation.

I don't think that I've met a successful business manager who doesn't love a list and my love of lists is also at the forefront as we examine the case for successful changes and apply this lens to the majority of industries out there, who are at their core, often more similar than not.
