This was my first book by this author and his story and writing style had me hooked straight away.

I really enjoyed this book thoroughly. There is so much going on with everyone involved you won’t know what is going to happen next will definitely have you gripped until the very end.

This thriller has some great twists. I really didn't expect that ending at all was totally shocked. This was my first read by this author and will definitely not be the last. I would happily recommend his books to
everyone who loves a good mystery thriller.

There are different reasons why a couple ends their marriage. Sometimes they want it both, but sometimes it's only one of them who wants out. Saying you are leaving without any further dialogue is maybe not the best way. This is what Tracy realises too and she decides to have a one on one with her husband. On her way home her life takes a 180. That's what she wanted, but not like this...

It was my first book by this author and his storytelling and writing style had me hooked. On the one hand I wished I could read faster, because I wanted to know every little detail about the what, where, when, how and why as soon as possible. On the other hand I wanted to enjoy this book as long as possible. 

It's really hard to get to know someone. People are sooooo very good in hiding their true colors. The quiet ones maybe quiet because they are simply shy or maybe they have ulterior motives? The victims may be the ones you want to protect from everything, but maybe they are not so innocent at all.

Do not ever believe what is in front of you when you read a thriller. ;) The authors know only to well how to pull the wool over your eyes :). 

I really enjoyed this book thoroughly. There is so much going in. You don't want to miss out on this one. 5 stars

Tracy and Malcolm Cowan have the perfect family, including their young son, Finn. But everything changes the day Tracy catches Malcolm cheating on her. She tells Malcolm one morning that she wants a divorce and then leaves to see her therapist. On her way back home to talk more with Malcolm, she notices someone is following her. Suddenly she finds herself escaping from her car as it plunges over a cliff and into the water. The next thing she knows, she is waking up in a room and unable to see. The woman that Malcolm was seeing is also found murdered, the same day that Tracy disappears. With Tracy now missing and a murdered mistress, detectives investigate to see if these two events are some how related.

THE MARRIAGE BREAK-UP was an intense-thrilling story. I was not sure what to expect going into this one, but I didn't think there would be so much action packed into one book. This was a great thriller, that I once again tried to play detective to, but failed. I should have paid better attention to the clues. The author has some great twists in here, and I was pleasantly surprised! I didn't expect that ending at all. I am very happy to have discovered that Matthew Farrell has written quite a few novels, THE MARRIAGE BREAK-UP was my first read by this author. I would happily recommend his books to mystery/thriller lovers like myself!

This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher and the author. Mystery and intrigue make this book a cannot put down novel. Written by a talented author, the story moves quickly. Full of red herrings and surprises, I guess part of the ending but was still surprised. Totally at a loss at the end. I thought, “wow”. I did not see that coming. How did I miss that? The characters are mysterious. I never knew what they were truly thinking. I guessed. Right sometimes. Others not so much. Enjoy this book.
