This book has a little bit of everything. Looking for a historical fiction? Check. Interesting topics and characters? Check. Pirates? Check. It covers a lot of interesting content, but I found it a bit hard to get into. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to check out this book.

This book allowed me to hit many of my reading challenges: historical; a book not set in Europe or North America; authored by a woman. And it didn't disappoint.
