This is a very cute children’s story. I enjoyed reading it myself would recommend for kids of all ages.

Cute story about being in a new place. Abruptly ended each chapter, but for kids, it was a good breakup to the story. We liked how they were chapters, too, to help build up confidence in kids as they begin to read “chapter” books. Bright illustrations led to great conversation points between myself and my four year old. Thank you for the opportunity!

This is a sweet story about moving somewhere new and trying new things. I liked the message that meeting new friends can make trying new things less scary. The illustrations are fun and I thought it was funny that all their names rhymed with yeti. I do think the ending was a little fast though.

This book is a sweet rendition of the old problem: trying new foods. This heart warming story tells about a young monster who has moved to a new place and just wants something to remind her of her old home. When asked to try something new, Betty isn't ready to try something new.
My son loves this book and asks for it every night. It even served as a reminder for him to try new things at the dinner table!

A lovely book about being new, trying new things, and being different. The illustrations are fantastic and you can read the emotions well from the characters.
It's a great book for littler kids, especially if yours loves monsters like mine.

The Yeti family moved from a snowy mountain to a human neighborhood. Betty is dealing with being scared of new things.

This book is great for young first time readers. Betty is relatable for young readers which will help engage the children. This book also has some SEL mixed in which is great too! I loved seeing the story illustrated so beautifully.

Thank you so much to Capstone/ Picture Window Books and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.

Betty and her family are moving from the quiet snowy mountains to a human apartment and everything is new and scary for Betty.

This was seriously adorable, Betty was so precious. I really e annoyed the story progression how she went from being scared and shy with the new surrounding to making a human friend. Betty didn’t like new things, didn’t want to experience or learn new things but she does and she struggles with that, mama yeti is kind and understanding, which I adored seeing. Change is hard in children and I liked how it was depicted in the story.

It had beautiful illustrations throughout that I really loved to look at. The story is a perfect early, easy reader for young children, the story is fun, adorable and relatable to a lot of kids. I do recommend this book as it’s a fun to read.

Betty the Yeti Hates Spaghetti is perfect for a new reader! The illustrations were adorable and the overall messages in this book are perfect for everyone; handling moves, trying new things, and making new friends. (This could hit home for some adults as well!)

I think Betty the Yeti Hates Spaghetti would be great for teachers; equipped with a glossary, and talking and writing points.

I look forward to reading more in this series!

Thank you to NetGalley and Picture Window Books for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

My daughter and I both enjoyed reading Betty the Yeti Hates Spaghetti. My daughter loved all the rhyming names of Betty’s family. I loved the meaning of the story. This story teaches that new things can be scary but it’s going to be ok.

Betty the Yeti Hates Spaghetti - 5/5

I love this book. The cover is what sold me on it, and the story line did not disappoint. Betty just moved into a new area and while trying to adjust she decides to try new things. Moving can be stressful but I do believe it is a great opportunity to try new things. Which in my experience can be beneficial to children as it can be a distraction from the stress of moving. The illustrations are so fun and inviting, and with a picky eater in my house it was nice to share the experience between the Betty and my child.

Betty the Yeti Hates Spaghetti is a fantastic book for reading ages 5 to 8 and will be published in August of 2023.

The yeti character is cute. But the ending seems abrupt. The story itself was more about moving and finding a friend not about her dislike of spaghetti.

When I saw the cover to this book I knew it was going to be AMAZING. The illustrations throughout the book are so much fun to look at and add so much personality to Betty and her family. I love Bettys story of moving to a new place and being nervous about standing out. This could be great for students also struggling with starting at a new school or having trouble making good friends. The prompts at the end are also super great to get kids talking about and interacting with Betty's journey and struggles and how she got through them.

This was such a cute read. Perfect for 6-8 year old readers who want to be introduced to chapter books but not ready for lengthy books. I absolutely loved the glossary in the back. This would be a perfect book for reading groups at school. The illustration were beautiful as well along with the message of the story to not be afraid of trying new things even when it’s scary or it doesn’t work out well the first time.

Loved the names and that they all rhymed with Yeti, my kids thought that was funny! Love the message that everyone comes in different shapes and sizes, and if someone is different from you it's not a bad thing but a good thing! New and different things can be scary, but being brave and making new friends could help. This short book is filled with wonderful messages for kids. This is so much better than most of the books on the market, when I saw the cover I was expecting a silly book, but this book was so much more than that and was full of great messages!
Strong illustrations throughout and nice fun bright pictures!

I thought this book was very cute and sweet! My 4 year old asked me to read it to her multiple times! We really loved the illustrations. This would be a great book for a young child who is struggling with trying something new or a new experience. I appreciated the discussion questions in the back of the book as well. I will be looking for more in this series.

This is a cute kids book. My 6 year old enjoyed it very much. We did wonder how Celia knew Betty didn't like the Spaghett though. I think the idea of Yeti's and spaghetti is defiantly a eye grabber for kids.

This Easy Reader shows some normal anxiety that can come with moving. I think it does a great job of using rhyming and assonance to engage the reader. Additionally, I think it's interesting to use a Yeti as the main character since to kids sometimes something new can be as boggling as a Yeti. Lastly, the message of being anxious is okay and making friends can help is great.
