This is a small sample of this book and honestly I was very curious to see what happens in the whole plot line. It is only the firsts chapters but it's enough to get you into the story and will want to make you buy the book.

Just a quick snippet of what’s to come, and I’m hooked! Reminded me a bit of the Hunger Games, but with a twist of intrigue and mystery. Can’t wait to read the whole book!

This copy was only a chapter or two of the book, something I didn’t realize at first. Either way, it’s a good idea for a storyline but I could tell from the short preview that it still needs work. Scenes need to be built up to in a more thorough way and some parts need to be moved to other places. I liked the idea and am curious about the rest of the book but as it is, I probably will be stuck on the parts that still need fixing, so I’ll probably not read it.

I read the first two chapters of Ledge and was totally hooked. So far, the story was past paced, gripping and unlike anything I have ever read before.

I have downloaded the complete book on my Kindle and will write a full review on Goodreads once I have finished it.

The sampler itself is intriguing, i just wish that the i can get more chapter, like maybe around 4-5 chapters to finally get a grasp whether i will enjoy the book or not.

Definitely an intriguing opener to a book - McEwan starts setting the scene right away, and building up the world and the plot so I can see this growing into a very immersive story, It has a chilling, haunting vibe that I think will make for a thrilling adventure throughout.

This wasn't the full book, so I can't give a full review. However, the sampler has me wanting to read the rest! I look forward to purchasing when the time comes.

Though this sample was a brief two chapters, I was very much intrigued. This book has been on my reading list since I saw the hardcover version at B&N. The front cover is beautiful and highly effective at capturing interest. This book likely would appeal to readers who enjoyed The Hunger Games. The author incorporated the world building into the story line seamlessly, and I didn’t feel like I was being pulled out of the story. I can’t wait to get a physical copy to finish the book.

This book hooked me from the very first page. The world-building and plot within just the first few chapters were fascinating and I need more! The characters' interactions and thoughts felt very real for their situation, and I am so excited to read more!

thank you to netgalley for the advanced copy of ledge. this was just a sampler but i found a copy of the whole book and enjoyed it. We follow a young woman who has been born and only lived on a fridge ledge of the known world to her community and slowly got picked off by winged creatures and discovers the world is not just the ledge shes lived on. this was an interesting book the main character was strong but also seemed to be left wondering alot.

I would be interested in reading this trilogy based on these advanced chapters I got to read. The world building I picture is very much The Wall from GOT and has elements of Hunger Games being that food, rations, goods, and necessities are dropped from the sky. I cannot give a five star review based on just two chapters, but I am intrigued to read this in the future.

The sampler is two chapters, really short but does the job. It gives off Hunger Games vibes, because they offer villagers to be thrown in the Ledge. And pines is like their status, the more you have it the more you're rich; Kinda weird but tolerable. As of the writing, it was okay. It hooked my interest just right, hoping to read it completely soon

Very interesting sampler! It was short, so tough to comment too much on the writing/story beyond that I’m intrigued! The premise certainly seems like something I would be interested in. The comparison to Holly Black and Ilona Andrews made me curious to see where the story goes from here. I will definitely check it out when it releases! Ledge releases on June 27, 2023. A very interesting start to a book I need to read.
The story is beautifully written and draws one into what appears to be a world of eternal ice.
As I said, I need to read the whole story.

Safe to assume i've already ordered the book after reading this sample because I need to know what happens. Just in the first two chapters i'm already eager to learn more about this world and why it is the way that is. I've been seeing this book all over my social media and it's understandable why, the writing is captivating and draws you in. Very eager to read the rest

While this story seems like it would appeal to many readers, I am not sure I am one of them.

The sampler was intriguing and began with a very dark tone and intriguing story, but unfortunately, I did not enjoy the writing style. It is very much a personal preference, but it felt slightly too poetic for me. This may be a book I pick up in the future, but for now, it is not high on my list.
