You've Got This, Fiona is a sweet story about Fiona the hippo from the Cincinnati Zoo. Fiona notices that changes are happening everywhere she looks. The weather is turning colder and some of her friends will be leaving for warmer places. Fiona wants to remember her friends, but worry they won't remember her.
I am a 3rd grade teacher and the thing I love most about my job is sharing books with them. These kids are completely honest and genuinely love books! They all agreed that it was a cute story and they really liked Fiona as a character. The kids decided that the moral of the story was that no matter how far away you are, your friends will always be there for you. They also decided that change, although sometimes scary, can be a good thing.
This is a great addition to any classroom library! Thank you to NetGalley and Zonderkidz for the opportunity to view You've Got This, Fiona!
A cute book about change and friendship. As Fiona the hippo sees birds in a V formation, her mama tells her they are flying south for the winter since it's too cold where they live. Since Fiona spends much of the winter inside, she is worried about not seeing her friends until spring, so she goes around the zoo making sure her friends won't forget her. This is a cute way to introduce children to the seasons. This is also an adorable story about friendship.
We love all things Fiona the hippo in our household! And this adorable story is no different. I just read this with my son and we had some of the best conversations about the different animals that are shown, the changes in seasons, and how different animals like different weather. This book is easy to share with younger and older children. The illustrations are amazing! Well done and we can’t wait to add this title to our library when it comes out!! Thank you NetGalley and Zonderkidz for the chance to read this title early!
"You've Got This, Fiona" is a cute story with adorable pictures while explaining seasons and how different animals live when seasons change in an easy and simple way for young readers.
This book is great for kids and adults with an emphasis on how to handle change, work through emotions and care for each other. The illustrations are engaging and delightful, and promote curiosity and discussion. I will be sharing this with the preschoolers and children I care for. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. #YouveGotThisFiona #NetGalley
Incredibly cute children's story about the changing seasons and how change can be a good thing, or at least something not to be afraid of, especially when we take steps to keep our friends close.
Patrons of the Cincinnati Zoo will be thrilled with this latest addition to the Fiona storybooks, as her baby brother Fritz makes a special appearance, along with other zoo animals. The illustrations are adorable, and the message is positive and endearing! Those who haven't been to see Fiona in person will also love the story and the pictures.
As a family who moves often my kids are worried about their friends or family forgetting about them. It’s was a good introduction to the fact change is good sometimes and that letters are a good way to stay in touch. Illustrations are stunning too.
This is a sweet book with a great message and charming illustrations. Themes like adapting to change, processing emotions, and caring for others make You’ve Got This, Fiona a great resource for social emotional learning! I look forward to sharing it with my students and having it as a part of my classroom library.
You’ve got this Fiona is such a cute addition to this series. This book maintains the amazing drawings we’ve come to expect. It has a great storyline of educating about the changing of seasons and how to handle changes - even if it’s hard. Everyone needs more Fiona in their lives, I definitely recommend adding this to any kids library, and will be adding it to mine!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book.
My son loves the Fiona books. They're illustrated very well and give you that warm hearted feeling while teaching several good lessons. This next book is no exception. Love it!
I needed something uplifting and fuzzy to read today and Fiona the Hippo delivered!
Fiona is a precocious hippo who lives at Hippo Cove and worries with the weather cooling, her friends will forget her.
The dialogue is straight forward and while simplistic, not condescending.
The illustrations make the book. All the animals from the red panda to the tortoise jump off the pages. It’s so engaging and I wanted to personally squeeze every animal on the pages.
A great book to explain the changing seasons and how valuable friendship can be.
Fiona is back in this cute book about change. The seasons are changing and things are changing at the zoo as the animals prepare for winter. This book, like the other Fiona books, has gorgeous illustrations. It is a great bedtime read!
Thank you NetGalley and Zonderkidz for the opportunity to review this book in advance of publication.
You’ve Got This Fiona is an adorable children’s book. Fiona is noticing changes at the zoo. Her mother uses it as an opportunity to teach her about change and the seasons. This book is a great resource to help children learn about change and how to embrace it like Fiona did. The illustrations are beautiful. Fun book that kept my son engaged!
Fiona is seeing changes at the zoo. She sees her friends at the zoo going thru changes too. These changes are from the seasons and Fiona wonders if she will still have her friends. With the help of her mother, Fiona is learning about the seasons and how it is different for all the animals. Fiona has had her own change with a new brother. Sometimes changes can be hard. Like starting school, going to a new babysitter, and many more changes. A great resource to read with your child on helping your child with anxiety about those changes. Seeing the good and enjoying the changes.
I love the message. Fiona is easy to love too! A fun and warm book on the seasons of life.
A special thank you to Zonderkidz and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
