I cannot even describe how excited I am to read the full version of this book. This extended sneak peek was absolutely incredible - we get a deeper look at Nico and it looks like a deeper look into the traumas he's suffered mixed with the classic Rick Riordan writing style and humor. I adore the world of Percy Jackson and the writing style Riordan uses to transport us to this world, and I am so excited to dive into the full novel in May.

It is so nostalgic to revisit the world of Percy Jackson and its characters again. The original series and everything that followed were such a staple of my childhood that I'm so excited to dive back in. This extended sneak peek just made me so giddy. I can't wait to be transported back into this world this coming May!

This extended sneak peek into Rick Riordan & Mark Oshiro's upcoming release has me even more excited for the full book. I have enjoyed all of Riordan's books based around mythology. I also appreciate the diversity of race, gender, and sexuality that the books contain. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for this digital ARC.

These are the best sixty pages I have read. I had an instant wave of nostalgia being put back into the pjo universe.

I'm very excited for this because I love anything from the Riordan mythoverse and Nico and Will especially deserve the spotlight. Their relationship in the other series was so nice to watch grow and develop. I also really like the direction this is going in with the two of them going to save Bob the Titan. He has always been an interesting character to me and I remember being so happy to see him in House of Hades.

On top of that, it looks like this book is going to dive into all the PTSD and mental issues Nico has been going through for years. The boy deserves it so much. Maybe it will be addressed that Camp Half-Blood really doesn't do much in terms of self-care or therapy. Whatever it is, I'll happily read it!

Reading this sample sent me back to my childhood and I am so incredibly excited for this book. I am ready to dive back into this universe.

It's difficult to gain a sense and feel of the book from these handful of chapters, but it sounds very promising and I'm looking forward to the release of the full book in May!

Thank you to NetGalley for the introductory chapters of this book. It is difficult to provide feedback for this title since it was only the first few chapters. I will acquire this book for my students and read it since it is a Rick Riordan work. I usually enjoy books with a mythological twist, but I was still waiting for this one to grab me, even after chapter three. These books usually throw the reader right into the action, but this one starts slower; hopefully, it will gain momentum as it progresses.

Riordan. Son of Hades. Son of Apollo as a love interest?! LGBTQIA+ rep from our favorite author with our favorite character from our collective favorite series.

I read it. My teen read it. Heck, even my partner read it. Perfect scores across the board.
I absolutely refuse to spoil this book because it is unbelievably good from start to finish and you need to experience that. It picks up right after a major event from the original series that features Nico and Will, giving us a sort of "where are they now" look into what happened with our main sweetie after everything went down. Seeing Nico's godly parentage coming into play to haunt him(?) is a wonderful tie in to that part of his life.

Anyway, go buy it. Pre-order. Get your copy and fall back in love with this series. Seriously, the only thing that would make this better is if Riordan decided to write an adult series with these characters after they've grown up.

Nico is having having some crazy dreams lately. Nico is the son of Hades. Something within his dreams keeps telling him to listen.

Virtually alone in Camp Halfblood, Nico is trying to figure out what is going on.

Mark Oshiro does a great job with Rick Riordan’s work, but nothing can top the original series.

I can’t wait for the completed book to come out later this year so I can read it over and over again.

I love Nico di Angelo, Will Solace, Rick Riordan and his many stories etc so it should be no surprise that I leaped at the chance to download this sampler. And wow did it deliver!! I am so excited to see Nico and Will on a quest together! I enjoyed the cameos from favorite characters and previous series. This book is already so important and I am thrilled that it seems to be so inclusive, loving, and beautifully written. Seeing Nico di Angelo on page for the first time years ago was so special and important to me. I’m ecstatic that Will and Nico get a book all their own! I can’t wait to see how their adventure continues!! The Sun and the Star releases on May 2, 2023. I love the Percy Jackson world so much and it was so fun to dive back in. From this preview I think this will be more similar to Trials of Apollo, but I love Nico’s humor and am excited for more of this story
