Discover the secret to better health and a better life through grounding. Let nature and Dr. Sinatra be your guide to a happier, healthier life.

Nature has historically been the world’s most acclaimed healer, with time-tested references to its ability to repair and renew body, mind, and soul dating to the earliest civilizations. For thousands of years, traditional Indigenous medicine from Mother Earth has been used to promote health and well-being for millions of Native peoples. The use of native plants and contact with the earth for healing purposes was commonplace for centuries from ancient Asia to the early Americas. In Europe, ancient Roman troops were reported to have walked upon hallowed ground after battle to receive healing energy from the earth. Recent scientific findings and clinical studies link grounding with relief for a variety of health

All-in-all an interesting read that I was able to take a lot from. Would recommend to others who struggle with anxiety and stress

This always a very informative listen! I liked the perspective shared and have incorporated grounding practices into my daily routines. I think this book may have been early to the “touch grass” trend

Interesting read. I've practiced grounding in my life without knowing there was a name for it. I just called it connecting with nature/the world around me. I do believe in some of the book and other parts I don't. There was a lot of repetition and the flow of the the book was off. Maybe that's because I don't read books like this often but none the less it was distracting. I do recommend grounding to friends and family.

This book is fantastic! Hearing the different stories on how this method has helped so many people and then the science behind it has been truly eye opening. I already practiced grounding and knew what it was but now because of this book I do it everyday and have gotten my family to do it as well. I wish I could personally thank the authors for this amazing book and I will be recommending it to everyone I know!

Though I can give an honest review, I'm not sure that I can give an unbiased review because I am a skeptical person by nature and in many ways grounding or "earthing" is presented as just too good to be true. I can get on board with books like 10% Happier by Dan Harris, because the concept doesn't demand a great leap of faith (10% is like studying really hard and raising a grade from a C+ to a B+, so surely a book that teaches you some wellness techniques can take you on a 10% learning curve towards happiness.) This book, however, comes with a much bigger ask - to believe one of the authors was divinely led to the field of grounding through a near death experience. It was uncomfortable for me to read that Stephen Sinatra background checked someone named Richard Gerber, who had written a book he admired, by "looking for answers from some of my "intuitive spiritual healer" friends. I asked them if they knew Dr. Gerber. What they relayed to me was that his book was downloaded from the spirit." I would not belittle a person who could read a sentence like that without hearing a BS alarm bell clanging in the background. I'm just not one of those people. I'm going with a 3-star rating and giving the authors the benefit of the doubt that this book was not written because, as it turns out, they sell products related to grounding.

I have to say, when I picked up this book I had zero expectations and didn't even know what it was about or what grounding was. I just liked the title. I feel like the universe led me to read this; I truly do. This is filled with so much good knowledge, and even if you don't quite believe in grounding and its benefits, its free and it can't hurt you to try. I am looking forward to implementing grounding more in my life because I was already doing it and didn't realize how much it was benefiting me unknowingly. The audio was fantastic and I loved the narration. It kept my mind attentive and really made the material easy to absorb and understand. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was an interesting book about how to care for your body and health. I learned some new things for sure but didn't find it to be too groundbreaking.

Get Grounded, Get Well is an enlightening read, encouraging us to return to our ancestral connection with the earth for our health, wellness, and longevity. It works on the premise that both the earth and our bodies have an electromagnetic current and connection.
Modern life has led to a disconnect with the healing benefits of the earth,; wearing non conductive footwear and spending a lot of time indoors away from nature leads to a decline in the electrical functions within our bodies.
I found this audiobook really informative about how we have become disconnected, about providing ways in which we can begin to reconnect by using specific grounding methods and by outlining the physical and mental benefits of doing so. The most basic advice that all of us can do is to walk barefoot on the earth, submerged ourselves in water , or taking it further by using grounding or earthing equipment like sleep mats. Whilst there are no negative outcomes, the author outlines the many positives to our health and mind, using his own personal health stories as examples. Some of the positives reported were reduced anxiety, improvement in the cardiovascular functions, improved sleepand a reduction in pain and fatigue. Most people report feeling so much better within themselves.
I have to say that my own blood pressure, sense of wellbeing and immune system has seen positive results after bathing in the open water and walking barefoot in the garden and my sleep quality has improved greatly.
For me, a few minutes returning my body to nature is having multiple positive effects on my health and wellbeing.
I have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the benefits of grounding through this audiobook. The author uses easy to understand information and easy to follow advice to help us get started on our journey, and this is well pitched through clear narration.

Lots of interesting information in this one! I’ve heard of grounding before but it was awesome to hear some success stories. It makes so much sense that as we get further away from nature, we get more sick. I also appreciated the many ways available to ground and also the best ways too. Overall, highly recommend if you are at all concerned with your health and longevity.

Thank you to the authors, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC. The narration by Stephen Graybill is superb.

There is so much I enjoyed about this book: I appreciate the data- and science-driven approach. I appreciate the personal stories and anecdotes. I appreciate the practical suggestions for implementation of the information. However, there are whole sections which sound as if someone's marketing department inserted pre-written material. I would have been fascinated to hear about the products - tell me how you came up with idea, the process of developing it, how it works, etc. It isn't the idea of using a book to sell products which bothers me. It is the complete change in voice. (Not the narration, the narration is fantastic throughout). The writing style completely changes, it is as if chunks were lifted from a pre-existing brochure and set down in the middle of the book without being rewritten to fit the aims or style of the book. These sections are jarring and off-putting.

Overall, I enjoyed the content of Get Grounded, Get Well. In my opinion, with a little editing this good book could easily be great. To be clear, I am not buying everything the authors are selling. But I appreciate their insights and experience, I enjoy hearing about what they have observed. It always feels like a gift when someone takes the time to write about what they know and share it with the world. Even if I never implement all of the suggestions in the book, I can take small steps to improve my life based on what I learned. If nothing else, I now prioritize walking barefoot in my backyard every day.
