This was cute and definitely something I’d pick up to read to my niece! Excited to see this one this shelves to read again
This was a great book, something a little different focusing on the rain. The illustrations are brilliant which the kids (and adults) will enjoy! Highly recommend.
This was adorable. I was looking for a book to read to my preschooler and the cover caught my eye. A story that relates to nature, the importance of rain and the water cycle, and tying in with themes of identity and belonging, reminding children of the importance of being kind. Enjoyed the musicality to the text, which made for a fun experience reading out loud, and appreciated the use of font friendly for kids with dyslexia.
This is a sweet little story! My kids enjoyed the rhymes though I found it kind of hard to find a rhythm with them. The colorful and engaging illustrations were really where the story shined for me! I loved the use of some more unusual words that we could pause to talk about while we read!
This book didn’t do much for me or my child that I read it to. I didn’t like how it made it seem like she had to change to be liked. I mean, I “get” the story but I didn’t care for it.
Cute story. I love that at the beginning and end it talks about the good things that come from rain. I also like the premise that you have to find places and people who will like you how you are. I do not love the use of “fellas” hiding under their umbrellas. While I know it was for the rhyme, there’s plenty of other rhymes already. My class of 3 year old girls would not be okay with it all being “fellas”.
