A festive, feel good read! I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and learning more about the rituals of Ramadan. Thank you to Net Galley for early access.
This was a cute and easy read. I enjoyed reading the different aspects of the three separate holiday season celebrations because all I've ever known is Christmas traditions and views. I couldn't stand Anna's boyfriend and wanted her to drop him before the book even started (give or take a few pages). I loved the relationship between Maryam and Saif. It was my favorite love story in this novel to watch bloom and grow. Maryam's sister drove me batty with how much blame she placed on Maryam for anything that went wrong with her wedding plans.
While I loved the feel of the setting and town, it was a little hard to believe at times that it would ever actually exist. Which I guess could be part of the magic if you look at it that way instead. I personally struggled *shrugs shoulders*
Overall, there were a few characters that irritated the shit out of me, but as a whole, it's a sweet and fun inclusive story that I would recommend putting on your list for this upcoming holiday season.
Very cute book overall! It gave me a lot of Hallmark vibes. I did struggle with keeping up with the characters and the plot line. I enjoyed seeing a diverse cast of characters and representation of cultures.
I did find similar issues to others in believing the time line, with the mix of current terminology and experiences in the timeframe the book was written in.
Overall I am a sucker for Holiday romances, but struggled a bit with this one!
Synopsis: Maryam and Anna meet in the airport on their way to Toronto from Denver the week before Christmas, Hanukkah, and Eid intersect. Their flight goes through massive turbulence and the two unlikely friends blurt out their innermost thoughts and dreams to each other before getting stranded in Snow Falls, a little holiday village outside of Ottawa.
Review: thank you to @netgalley and @putnambooks for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! I was grateful and excited to read this because I’ve been waiting my whole life for a good Hanukkah book, movie, song, or media of any kind, let alone a romance like so many of the Christmas counterparts. This book is a sweet, simple, closed-door romance and a book about friendship and small towns and holiday magic. It is a great equivalent to a holiday hallmark movie around Christmas. It was slightly frustrating waiting for the characters to realize their full potential/what was right in front of them, but it was satisfying reading their endings as well.
A super sweet diverse holiday read but the cheesiness was wayyyyy too much for me! Loved just about every character (as long as we ignore Anna). Do I regret reading it? No. Would I recommend it to a friend? Also probably no. But still a quick cozy read!
A good adult novel, with great characters and plot!
I received an e-ARC of the book from the publisher.
Three Holidays and a Wedding by Uzma Jalaluddin and Marissa Stapley is a fun novel. This novel is unique in that it covers multiple holidays from different cultures. This book has adventure, romance, snow— it’s a fun holiday read. Readers of this genre should enjoy it. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
Three Holidays and a Wedding introduces us to a group of travelers who are on their way to Toronto when a snowstorm strands them in the picturesque town of Snow Falls. Maryam’s family is traveling to her sister’s wedding. The longer it takes to leave town, the more upset her sister is about her wedding plans. Maryam is dealing with a hysterical bride, her childhood crush, and the weight of always doing what is expected of her.
Anna is going to meet her boyfriend’s family for the first time. She is enjoying the small town, but her boyfriend and his family are acting like it is her fault that she’s stranded. There is a movie being filmed in town and Anna’s is enjoying getting to know the handsome star.
Maryam and Anna initially see everyone on the surface and are stuck in their own heads. As the overlapping holidays of Christmas, Hanukkah, and Ramadan draw closer, it looks like they will still be stuck in Snow Falls. But as the group gets to know each other, they decide they each want to experience the other’s holidays.
Will their interlude in Snow Falls change Anna and Maryam, or will their transformations be short-lived?
I highly recommend Three Holidays and a Wedding by Uzma Jalaluddin and Marissa Stapley. This novel has all of the trademark warmth of a holiday romance multiplied by three! Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book was so cute and I was so excited to start reading. Unfortunately, I was not completely in the holiday mood when I started reading so I gently put it down for now.
I’m looking forward to picking it back up this next holiday season!
This was so cute! Loved the holiday fun and character development. Gave me Hallmark movie vibes with a very happy holiday ending

This was one of the best holiday novels I have ever read. I loved the representation of cultures and traditions that are not often seen in Holiday novels. Which really needs to change. I loved how all of these holidays collide to make this masterpiece. I always know it is a good Holiday book if I can read it after Christmas/ Winter time is long over and stay invested. This had all that and more! Of course I think for the full affect reading it at winter time is the best.
This story follows multiple holidays and a wedding happening around the same times. Maryam Aziz and Anna Gibson fly to Toronto as strangers sitting next to one another. Maryam is heading to her sisters impromptu wedding and Anna is meeting her boyfriend's wealthy family for the first time. As major turbulence come upon them they both are scared into confessing their deepest hopes and fears to one another. At least they will never cross paths again. Though the love of Maryam's life Saif is sitting two rows behind them to hear it all. An emergency landing finds Anna, Saif, Maryam and her sister's entire bridal part snowbound in a small quirky Snow Falls Inn. Where fate has Anna's actor crush filming a holiday romance. As Maryam finds the courage to open her heart to Saif, and Anna feels the magic of being snowbound with an unexpected new love—both women soon realize there’s no place they’d rather be for the holidays. What will they do next?

This was like a Hallmark holiday movie in book form. Sweet, somewhat overblown, unbelievable story focusing on friendship, family, love, and faith. I enjoyed the look at various cultures and all the food descriptions throughout made me so hungry!!
Overall it was enjoyable enough, but there were so many characters to follow and so many relationships and so much crisis/baggage to wade through. I had a hard time really feeling like there was enough depth or growth for me to care about anyone all that much.
I have read and really enjoyed other books by Uzma Jalaluddin so I will definitely still give some of her other books a try.
Thank you to Netgalley and Putnam Books for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

Cute holiday romance occurring in a year that Christmas, Hannukah, and Ramadan overlap. When their flight to Toronto gets diverted to small-town Snow Falls, strangers Maryam and Anna strike up a friendship that helps them both get through the holidays. This was kind of like reading a Hallmark movie. It was cute with zero spice. I thought the friendship in this book outweighed the romance, but I really liked learning about the customs and traditions of Ramadan, which I knew nothing about, and seeing a multicultural celebration come together.
Three Holidays and a Wedding by Uzma Jalaluddin and Marissa Stapley is proof that there is no such thing as too much cozy holiday romance. Three holidays, a wedding and two romance in the makings sets the perfect setting for a great romance(s) - did I mention that they are snowed-in at Snow Falls Inn?
This was such a lovely and cozy romance book. There were so many hilarious rom-com moments that it could have easily been ridiculous, but wasn't. The romances were sweet and the family dynamics were probably the best part of the book. Such a lovely and diverse story!
The only things that I didn't love about this was Anna's love story. I liked her backstory so much, but just wish she would have had time to work on herself etc. Whereas, Maryam's romance was chef's kiss perfect!
I love both of these authors individually and now as a writing duo. I really enjoyed the story they built and the depth they were able to inject for all of the characters. This is not your run of the mill romance that is a cut and paste, it is very original and has some deeper emotional topics covered. I really enjoyed this book and think that anyone that likes romances or women's fiction will love this! I hope there are plans for this team to write another book together.
I really need to stop reading her books because every time I do, I’m so disappointed.
It’s more like it’s not me, its a you problem.
Thank you NetGalley for sharing this book with me early to read and review. This book wasn’t my favorite but I do love bits of it and know others will too!
This was a fun holiday story, and I really enjoyed it. It was quite engaging and entertaining. Overall, I had a great time reading this story and would recommend it to any fan of the holiday genre.
