".... Well, that's not me. Not when it come to you. I want you to count the minutes until we're breathing the same air again, the way I do"

Where do I start??? I LOVED this book!! Autumn and Natalie were such a beautiful couple. Natalie's family owned a vineyard but her family pretty much shut her out of anything to do with it and Autumn was a former navy SEAL and was trying to fulfill the dream of Sam - one of his former crew members that he lost during combat. They didn't have the greatest start to their relationship but that all changed when they decided to enter into a fake marriage for one month. Natalie could only get access to her trust fund if she was married and she needed the funds to help her with her finance company goals. Autumn needed money to keep the failing vineyard going and being married to Natalie would help him get a bank loan. Along the way they both didn't need each other but they still decided to go along with the marriage. I love how they fell in love and how they supported each other through it all. Some of the spicy moments, just wow!! 5 star read from me, no question about it!

Book Name: Unfortunately Yours
Series: A Vine Mess #2
Author: Tessa Bailey
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 /5

This book had me from the first line.

I had really enjoyed the first instalment of this series, so I was eager to get my hands on the second book. This book lived up to my own hype and I loved it so much.
I really enjoy Tessa’s style of writing and how her characters are a little bit kooky and messy, it makes them relatable and loveable.

We met Natalie (a Wall Street boss bitch) and August (an ex-SEAL/new winemaker who is really awful at making wine) in book one and I was excited to see them have it out in this book as you could tell they were going to have some great enemies to lovers chemistry.
Their relationship gave me everything I needed from this book, the arguments and banter, the make ups, the fake wedding and the sexy guy who falls hard. The spice was excellent and omg the car scene. Yes please! My ovaries exploded from the epilogue, though I wish we got a play by play if the routine haha.

Is there more? Please tell me there’s more…

Thanks to #NetGallery and #HarperCollinsAustralia for the free advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

You know it’s going to be a good book when the first line has you laughing!
I think with this one I experienced everything. All the feelings. It was great. I love getting trapped in a book and you ride the wave of feelings like the characters would be!
As always, fantastic writing, captivating, lots of laughs!

It’s been a while since I have read something from Tessa Bailey and I was so excited and shocked when I got the email that I had received this arc.

Something that I love about Tessa Bailey’s works is that her character’s banter and chemistry with one another are always off the charts and never fail to disappoint. August and Natalie were prime examples of this. I found myself giggling on multiple occasions.

August and Natalie felt like real people to me and not just two people on a page. Natalie was a character I could see myself in, especially when it came to her relationship with her family. August was charming and for once, he was an alpha male type that wasn’t infuriatingly overbearing. He had me kicking my feet on more than one occasion. They were so fun to read and get to know.

This has to be one of my favourite works by Bailey so far.

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins for providing me with this ARC. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

August blew his chance with Natalie months ago and hes been kicking himself about it ever since and unfortunately he cant seem to stop blowing every encounter they have by letting his mouth run before his brain can catch up. Luckily for him, Natalie is in a predicament (he dad is an outdated sexist pig) and she needs to get married stat so she can go back to being a girl boss on Wall Street.

I don't know why but all my experiences with Tessa Bailey books are that I enjoy the first in the series however the sequels always leave disappointed, technically this book is okay but it just feels.. exactly that okay. Maybe its something about when the supporting characters from the first book get turned into main characters? It felts repetitive and their constant conflict then tearing each others clothes of was emotionally draining.

<spoiler> just tell her about the money dude its not that hard </spoiler>

Much like the first book in the series Unfortunately Yours does focus a bit on male mental trauma and I did really enjoy that we got to see glimpse of Augusts grief and guilt from his time in the SEALS, this is something we don't tend to see a lot of in contemporary romances and has been a welcome surprise in this series, do more of that please.

<b> hated that line about wifepussy </b>

This is delightful, funny and fluffy with such likeable characters. Plenty of steam. I don’t always love Tessa’s writing as it can sometimes be a bit grim and porny, but this was wonderful. August is such a hoot and actually a right chatterbox, which is so refreshing, especially as his character is a former Navy SEAL. The attraction between him and Natalie feels authentic and you can tell that they really are both trying hard with each other and their own baggage. Aspects of the story are a bit silly, as you’d expect, but the heart of it works really well and there’s a very nice undercurrent around respect and consent that I love. Thoroughly recommend. It has lots of laughs, plenty of steam, music and film references and in-jokes, dual POV, he falls first, not too much darkness or angst. Great communication. Love it. Love it!

Thanks so very much to NetGalley and to the publisher for the ARC.
