This book was everything I thought it would be plus more!! It kept me on my toes throughout the entire book. Thanks, Netgalley and publishers!!

This started out very slow for me but it definitely picked up. It had some great twists and turns. Cassie was horrible. Hated her snotty character! I felt for Alice! She deserved so much better. This was just ok for me! I’d still recommend to suspense lovers though!

Fab who done it. Kept me guessing and the whole story was enjoyable and different to what i had expected.

While this book kept my interest, with its twists and turns, I was disappointed in this read. I gave it three stars because it did keep me tethered. The characters are loathsome. There are missteps in the plot where certain things were not smoothly explained. In my opinion, this novel was quite pedestrian. Some might say the ending was a surprise, I thought the ending was preposterous. Thank you Netgalley and BoldwoodBooks for sending this book for review consideration. This book is not what it seems. There are so many twists and I certainly didn't see the ending coming which is exactly the kind of book I love. Interesting characters were brought together as the story evolved.

The Ex-Wife has everything I look for I look in a book and more.
Sally Rigby and Amanda Ashby know how to bring the drama and keep us on the edge to end of the book.
I never saw that ending coming and I usually guess the endings.
Fabulous five stars.

Alice is struggling, with her home, her work, her entire life feels as though it has fallen apart since her husband met another woman.
Her main concern is for her daughter Cassie, but when she sees her ex-husband's fiancee with another man in the park, things start happening.


I wasn't sure about this novel in the beginning. I thought it was just another stalker novel, but halfway in, it became quite exciting.
I know Cassie is a normal teenager, a rebel, but I really did not like her character. And Alice seems to pander to Cassie's every whim. Perhaps, as a parent, I am stricter, and don't believe in letting youngsters get away with everything.
The twists just kept coming, being revealed one by one, and some were quite jaw dropping.
I recommend this book for those that like a slow burn, which ends as a 100 yard sprint!

▫️The 2nd half of this packs a proper punch! I did enjoy the first half but it's a bit of a slow burn. The first half does set the characters up well, their back stories and where it's all going (or so you think!)
▫️This is a bit of a whodunnit and a whydunnit and I loved both elements of this.
▫️I felt awful for Alice the main character and really thought she got a raw deal! I struggled with Cassie, the main characters teenage daughter, I wanted to see her as stroppy teenager but I just couldn't get past some of her behaviour. She was portrayed as stroppy and harsh 🤷🏼‍♀️
▫️THE TWISTS 😱 I did not suspect them at all and I was thrilled by it all, all signs of a good thriller right?
▫️I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good domestic thriller 👏🏻

This is the first book I’ve read from these two authors and it won’t be the last! This book totally gripped me from the first page to the last, suspicious of everyone and everything. A tense, faced paced thriller that will keep you up at night.

The twist and turns throughout the book kept me guessing till the end I was left thinking about it for days after. Sally Rigby and Amanda Ashby definitely should be on everyones shelf!

This was a fantastic thriller which had me on the edge of my seat until the very end.

The story starts with Alice being on trial and then takes us back to six months earlier. Alice is divorced from her husband Mark and they have a teenage daughter Cassie. Mark left Alice for Norah and they are now getting married and planning IVF treatment. Alice can’t have that happen she will do anything to stop that from happening. Norah also has a demon from her past, something she thought she had put behind her. This was an excellent thriller which keeps you guessing until the very end. Everyone has secrets and how far will they go to protect them.

Will definitely be recommending this book to everyone fantastic.

I absolutely devoured this book. I was completely captivated from start to finish. So much suspense and twists that blew me away. Holy crap! This is a must read for thriller reads.

This is the first book i have read by Sally Rigby and Amanda Ashby and i was not disappointed. It is now one of my Top 5 intense psychological thrillers, a real page turner. I stupidly started it late afternoon and couldn’t go to bed until i finished. With a dramatic engaging opening chapter to start, it didn’t stop there. The ending I certainly didn’t see coming, it absolutely blew me away, i was reading the last few pages with my mouth open in shock!! This book will not disappoint, thoroughly enjoyable.

Holy cow! This book is explosive with secrets and suspense. I powered through it, constantly guessing at the connection between people, but never getting it right! This is def one of the best thrillers i have ever read. Highly recommended!

Amazing book!!! There were so many secrets and twists to this book that you will be kept guessing throughout the entire thing. Wonderful suspense. I powered through it. I do find the very ending a little hard to believe giving everything that happened in this book.

This is a page turner. Realistic characters and a thriller of a story keep this novel moving quickly. This author is talented at writing a cannot put down novel. Trying to discern the ending was almost impossible. The protagonist, the ex-wife was not happy with anyone. Her ex-husband was not a caring person. The daughter…another story. Together, these unhappy characters interacted in a way that would make a great movie. This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher and the author.

Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.
