I have always loved Erica Ridley’s work and this installment of the Wynchester’s series was just as fabulous as the others. Majorie was a super likable character who was just looking for her place in this extreme talented family. She has her passion of painting but she always felt like she wasn’t enough. I loved seeing her because who she wanted to be. And there is nothing better than a good rake to help the FMC along her journey. Adrian was a super redeemable character who was easy to love. I can’t wait for more from this series!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Part of the Wild Wynchesters series. If you haven't read the previous books it won't be a problem, this works as a stand-alone and gives a bit of background without rehashing the others. Marjorie suffers from self-doubt like so many people do. She thinks she's the least valuable of her family of "fixers". Her adventure & involvement in an operation to bring down a bad guy proves her value to herself. Her family had no idea she felt that way and assure her she's a big part of the family and their "business" too. It's wonderful to see how the family works together and makes time for each other. Adrian is a bit of a doofus. He's not a bad guy but he works hard at making you think he is. He's got horrible family issues and it's a bit disappointing how it's wrapped up neatly and quickly. Interesting information on how to counterfeit coins, I feel like I could have a go at it myself.

I received an advanced reader’s copy of My Rogue to Ruin by Erica Ridley.

This was an entertaining romance. The way the Wynchesters got Adrian out of trouble was clever. Their plans don't go smoothly but it creates opportunities for both Adrian and Marjorie to realizes things about themselves. Marjorie saw things in a unique way which presented a refreshing way to reveal her observations to the reader. Adrian is a relatable character who believed the worst about himself and struggles with changing how he views himself. Adrian and Marjorie need each other to realize that they are each worthy of love despite their perceived flaws.

Throughout we are shown how the Wynchesters support each other as a family and the love they have for each other. I've enjoyed all the stories in The Wild Wynchesters and was glad to be able to read Marjorie's story.

For the last few years Adrian, cut off from his father's money, has been traveling the world creating art forgeries and selling them to a crime lord in St. Giles. On what he wanted to be his last transaction, the crime lord discovers he's been duped and takes Adrian prisoner. Adrian now has to make enough counterfeit coins to equal the amount the crime lord was defrauded. When Marjorie finds out a poor woman has lost everything by using some of these fake coins, she and the Wynchester family decide to find the culprit. What follows is a cute and sweet closed door romance. The Wynchester's are a family brought together as children when they were adopted. They each have unusual abilities and use them to right wrongs. Marjorie has an inferiority complex due to her partial deafness. She doesn't feel an equal contributor to the family. In this case, her counterfeiting abilities make her their choice to take on the case. So much of the book takes place in the one room they're imprisoned in, I found it a little slow. Cutesy animals are featured like a homing hedgehog. This is the fourth in the series but I think you'd be fine reading it as a stand alone.

Another fun Wynchester family romance! I love this wild found family so much, and each new addition to their clan is delightful. I fell for Adrian right from the start. I mean, who doesn't love a roguish forger who gets himself into trouble because he protects others? And Marjorie got her time to shine and did it with aplomb. The book was sweet, funny, sexy, and all-around fun.

This was a very fun read and made me interested in reading the rest.
It is not my new favorite Erica Ridley book, but I still love her writing and her characters. The problem I had with this book was the plot, it just did not interest me. But all the characters were great and I will definitely read the first books and the next one

Who wouldn’t want to be a Winchester? What a fun loving, caring and devoted family. They are a happy, crazy lot with nothing but love and caring for each other and the unsee in society. All the books can be read as standalone, but it is so much better if you read them in order. The siblings show up in all the books to help out. This is Marjorie’s story; she has always been the quite one, working in the background whenever needed. Now that a number of her brothers and sisters have found love, marriage and now babies! She is having a hard time dealing with all the changes, not that she doesn’t love her new brothers and sisters. When they hear that counterfeit money is hurting the poor, they know they have to help. With her artist she is able to take the lead and prove to her family she is as good as they are. She is shocked that the person making the fake money is also the most handsome man she’s ever seen and had met him before when teaching her group of young ladies. How could he be so nasty and mean? Lord Adrian Webb was cut off from his family without anything due to a lie. He has just returned to London to try and reunite with his sister. He is giving up working for a mobster and hopes to rebuild his life. Unfortunately, the Mob boss has other ideas, and he finds himself held hostage and made to make counterfeit money, a crime against the crown. When he sees Marjorie again, he is shocked that she is the same beautiful women he saw at the museum! What is she doing working with these people? As they are forced to work together, they both learn many secrets about each other. Their witty banter is so fun to read. With the help of her family and a group of trained animals this is a fast-paced, hilarious, steamy story you don’t want to miss. I hope you grab a copy and get started you will not be disappointed. I received an ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it. Note do not start reading this book in the evening unless you don’t need any sleep as you will not be able to put it down.

Thank you to Forever for access to this eARC! So here's the thing...I love a heist. I love crimes and mischief and a cobbled together family who have each others backs. There were many parts of this book that I loved a great deal....but it just felt a little too long. There were times where there were one too many road blocks. We circled back around one too many times before the grand escape. it was really a shame because there is nothing wrong with this story. The romance is great, the chemistry is there, the dialog is witty, the family is charming as hell. It just felt about 50 pages too long. I had a very good time, if just had me stay a bit too long.

Erica Ridley does such a lovely job of writing HR with diverse casts, with an interesting subplot that doesn't feel like a B-plot, and ooey-gooey feel good romances, and this one is no exception!

Love this chaotic little family! Marjorie's determined spirit and her ability to get Adrian to finally recognize himself as a good person really warmed my heart. It's a quality found family story and a good "how are they gonna do it" instead of a whodunnit. Great mix of romance with low stakes suspense.

This was a cute read, however I felt that it dragged on unnecessarily in areas that had nothing to do with the romance, which to me, made that aspect of the book feel rushed and a tad unbelievable.

Adrian was notorious for being a rake, that was even the reason for his banishment, so the fact that he immediately decided to make sexual jokes upon meeting Marjorie was just a major turn off for me. I get it, he was trying to scare her off, but as the story went on and the innuendos continued, it made it harder and harder for me to believe that he had genuine feelings for Marjorie and wasn't just lusting after her. The fact that they seemed to jump from strangers to friends to being "in love" also didn't help.

And while I enjoyed the idea of them being in cahoots to bring down the villain, the execution was just too far-fetched for me.

To begin with. We are lead to believe that the villain has guards everywhere, and therefore knows everything about what goes on in his domain. Except after Marjorie is told she cannot leave the house, Adrian manages to get past the two guards stationed to watch them and into her room to find.... two of her siblings AND a goat. I'm still trying to figure out how that happened. Also there were moments when a bird was able to fly into the window to announce (and deliver) messages, but no one noticed? Or heard?

And not only that, but then random people (as elderly as they may look) start showing up in the alleyway to converse with the "prisoner" in the workshop and the sniper on the roof just lets it happen? Yeah, the elderly couple made their "intentions" known, but there is no way it didn't come across as odd for the sniper and something that should have been reported to the boss.

Aside from those areas, this was a really cute read that I think will appeal to fans of this series, or those who enjoy rooting for the underdog (as these two definitely were). I would read more from this author!

DISCLAIMER: I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the publisher. This has not affected my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are 100% my own.

I am not normally a fan of regency romance, but I couldn’t pass up requesting this one because of the synopsis, and I will say I’m glad I did. It has an amazing setup, was fun, and while the middle was a little lagging for me, I finished it, which is a huge thing for me to do with regency, so I definitely enjoyed it.

I absolutely love how each book in this series is about found family. The Winchesters love with their whole hearts and seem to recognize a person in need of a family unit. My Rogue to Ruin is no different in the found family even if the male main character, Adrian has a family of his own--they just happened to have exiled him after a scandal,

One could consider this enemies to lovers, the enemy aspect is completely one-sided. Marjorie despises Adrian because of who she thinks he is (all lies) but Adrian is smitten with her from the beginning. Because Marjorie is a rational adult and deep down very sweet, you never really feel true animosity or hate from her to him--just a strong dislike/distaste for him. He vacillates between being an absolute rogue and trying to shock her with his flirtations and being his true self, dripping in honesty and sweet words of how she makes him feel. Ultimately he is trying to protect her and keep her at arm's length from a very bad man not realizing who Marjorie really is. They are forced to work in close confines day after day in a very clever way--props to Ms. Ridley for how this plot line developed. I also loved every moment another Winchester appeared on the page, often at the least expected moments that had me chuckling at the absurdity of it all.

Both of them discover that they are capable of more than they thought they were as they start to see each other through the other's eyes. I love when this happens in a book. Yes, it would be great if we realized this on our own but so often we cannot. So when Marjorie recognizes the kindness and talent in Adrian, he has a hard time believing it. Same for Marjorie when she doubts her ability to contribute to the Winchesters outside of just forgery. She does play into the fact that others might doubt her intelligence because she is partially deaf but also starts to believe that because of this maybe she is limited in what she brings to the family and their efforts to help others. However, Adrian does a beautiful job of treating her as a whole person and showing her she is amazing as she is.

The book does not focus on developing the physical relationship of Marjorie and Adrian which was a bit disappointing. Often we read that they spent the day kissing but we do not get any details around said kissing or see anything else happen and slowly progress bit by bit. I felt the loss of that aspect and growth of their relationship as physical actions usually do change the nature of a relationship. When the two eventually take their relationship to the next level it feels sudden and yet not. However, as noted above, Ridley does a wonderful job developing the non-physical side of their relationship.

Would definitely recommend this book and the entire series and cannot wait for the next book!

This was everything I needed right this minute. I need to read the rest of the series. I am not obsessed with the Wynchesters! I loved the sweet Marjorie. She is so much more than even her family new. There is so much found family love that you just feel like you are part of it. The romance is sweet. It was a bit spicy too. I cannot wait to read more! Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

My Rogue to Ruin by Erica Ridley
The Wild Wynchesters series #4. Historical romance. Disability. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series as family from prior stores cross over and play minor parts in this book.
Lord Adrian Webb decides to stop creating forgeries with one last sale but the middleman finds out he has been getting the forgeries rather than originals to sell. Adrian finds himself being held hostage and forced to create counterfeit money that’s going to hurt the locals and make the middleman rich. He creates imperfect coin molds on purpose but so far is still locked up against his will.
The Wynchester family has traced the fake coins and allowed Marjorie to take the lead in planning the undercover work to expose the culprit. But the more time she spends with Adrian, the more she likes him and she realizes that he’s not the bad guy even though he is the forger.

Fun antics and amusing family adventures as Majorie brings all their tricks into play on her first time leading the caper. Her confidence grows as she realizes her hearing isn’t what’s lacking in her investigation and she has to deal with her attraction to the flirty Adrian. Of course, she must still catch the bad guy and help the victims recover, so her plate is full. Good thing she has family to help.
Enjoyable with a few laugh out loud moments that will have me remembering this series for a long time.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. I have the full set of this series and share my love of them with bookclubs and fellow romance readers.

Another great Wynchester family story filled with kooky characters and scenarios and helping the poor; so much fun! I cannot wait to read the next story.

What I loved:
-the banter and witty retorts between our characters
-the Hedgehog spy named Tickletums
-the Wynchester family and their unique personalities and abilities
-is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone

What I would change:
-the villian in this one didn't make a ton of sense to me
-the ending felt very rushed and there was so much in the middle we had to wrap this up really fast which I didn't like
-there were several scenes I thought were unnecessary and added fluff to the story

Overall, a cute romance mystery with a tiny bit of smut!

Oh this book was totally cute!! It’s my very first Erica Ridley book and first Wynchester book and I am absolutely in love with this family.

Marjorie and Adrian where very cute together and I liked how she was like “actually I am getting you out of trouble, I am perfectly fine.”
So happy Adrian joined this fabulous family. I will go back and read all the other books!!

Lord Adrian Webb returns from the continent after being banished by his father. He wants wants a new start now that he’s back in London. The problem is Lord Adrian has found himself once again forced one to use his artistic skills for forging false coins. When the Wynchester’s find out about the fake money going around London, Marjorie is determined to do her part and get to the bottom of things. She and the Wynchester’s infiltrate the rookery where Adrian is being held to produce the coins. At first Marjorie thinks Adrian is exactly what he seems to be, a stuck up rakish snob. But the more Marjorie and Adrian work together the more she see’s the front Adrian puts on and starts the see the real man behind the persona. Can Marjorie and the Wynchester’s end up taking down the forgery operation and help
Adrian escape and start anew?

I have very much enjoyed the other books in this series but I have to say this may be my favorite so far! I connected with Marjorie’s hearing loss as I wear hearing aids and have hearing problems myself. The history of art and forgeries before and after the war was very interesting to learn about! And of course who doesn’t love reading about this crazy, chaotic, loving family along with a spicy romance. SO SO GOOD!!!
