I love a great thriller and this was no exception. Packed full of twists and turns, I was kept guessing right until the end with this. I love the multiple POV and split timeline perspective which really adds to the dimension of the story. The characters were all super creepy and I think I suspected every single one of them at one point
This is the first book I've read by this author but definitely won't be the last.
A good read
Lots of twists and turns
Slow starter but soon builds up
And gets you hooked
Thanks NetGalley
I was hooked from the very start and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This is a dark and addictive read that I would recommend to psychological thriller fans everywhere. I love the multiple POV’S and the think being drip fed ‘jigsaw pieces’ of the truth adds to the tension and I don’t think I will forget that ending in a long time.
After trying to read the book multiple times and Dnfing every single time, i have finally given up. Not the book for me.

Not my favorite book by A.A. Chaudhuri - kinda slow in my opinion.
This book was one heck of a thrill ride. I loved the pace of the story and the well planned out twists and turns.
A.A. Chaudhuri could write a book about absolutely nothing and I'd devour it. The writing style is chefs kiss!!! This book was fantastic. Suspensful, captivating and full of plot twists! 5 stars.
“Loved reading ‘The Final Party’ by A.A. Chaudhuri! Highly recommended for thriller enthusiasts! From the moment I started reading, I was hooked by the intricate plot and well-developed characters. The tension builds with each page, keeping you guessing until the very end. Chaudhuri’s writing style is captivating, drawing you into a world of secrets and suspense. The setting of the glamorous party adds an extra layer of intrigue to the story. If you’re looking for a thrilling read that will keep you on the edge of your seat, ‘The Final Party’ is the perfect choice.”
What a fast paced read! It is definitely a party that I do not want to be invited too. This story has so any twists and turns along the way for a great read.
I was kindly sent this via NetGalley and Hera Books (thank you!) in return for an honest review. The book was a tad confusing for myself, personally, due to the multiple POVs you get throughout, and quite a slow read. However, there were many twists and turns which were enjoyable!
Overall I really enjoyed this book!
The plot was great and the twists were engaging. I am pretty good at calling a twist before it comes and I definitely didn’t see all of this coming.
The mid-end of this book was fast paced and I could not put it down.
I generally like a book where I think I know everything going on (ha!) so for me when the characters keep saying “but they don’t know what happened that night” or something along those lines it gets a little old. Give me flashbacks, but I know I don’t know everything already.
The multiple POVs and the different time periods were a little confusing for me at first. Six people’s POVs is a lot, but at times it almost felt like there were 12 people and I was a little lost. I almost felt like I needed a diagram to see who people were and how they connected.
By the end of it I had it straightened out and boy was there more coming that I couldn’t expect. I would recommend this book for sure, but just might make notes next time to keep the people/couples straight until I figure it out in my head.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of The Final Party by A.A. Chaudhuri in exchange for my honest review and opinion. I loved this book as it had so many twists and turns that kept me turning the pages so fast. The ending is mind blowing!

Book Review: The Final Party by A.A. Chaudhuri
⭐⭐⭐ out of 5 stars
The Final Party by A.A. Chaudhuri takes readers on a thrilling journey to a luxury villa in Sorrento, Italy, where six friends gather to celebrate a friend's birthday. However, what was supposed to be a perfect reunion quickly turns into a nightmare as one of them is found dead before the week is out. As tensions rise and old friendships are tested, the group realizes that their dark past holds secrets that refuse to stay buried.
Chaudhuri expertly creates an atmosphere of suspense and intrigue from the very beginning. The setting of a luxurious villa in the hills above Sorrento provides a glamorous backdrop for the unfolding drama. The author’s vivid descriptions transport readers to the picturesque Italian town, immersing them in the opulent world of the characters.
The strength of The Final Party lies in its ability to keep readers engaged throughout. The plot is filled with twists and turns, ensuring that there is never a dull moment. The anonymous messages received by one of the characters add an extra layer of mystery, as the group becomes desperate to uncover who is behind the threats and what dark secret from their university days is being exposed.
While the book may not be considered a literary masterpiece, it excels in its ability to entertain. Chaudhuri’s writing style is accessible and engaging, making it easy for readers to become engrossed in the story. The pacing is well-balanced, allowing for moments of tension and suspense to build, while also providing quieter moments for character development.
It’s important to note that The Final Party does have its flaws. The character development could have been more nuanced, and some plot points may seem predictable to avid readers of the thriller genre. However, these minor issues are overshadowed by the overall enjoyment of the book. Sometimes, a book doesn’t need to be a literary masterpiece to captivate readers and keep them entertained.
In conclusion, The Final Party by A.A. Chaudhuri is a super entertaining read that will keep readers hooked from beginning to end. While it may not be the best written book ever, it succeeds in delivering a thrilling and engaging story. Wow What a Book!
I was hooked from the beginning.
A bunch of secrets start to be revealed and then the excitement begins.
This is about six firends that get together for a 40th bday celebration.
Threatening mesages start to come in and everyone is on edge.
Let the games begin.
.
I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.
In my opinion this book started off slow, but when it picked up a bit it was an enjoyable read. I thought the characters were rather unlikable, the story and setting were great and the style of writing was perfect. I have read other books by this author and I have loved them all, I wasn’t the best. I would recommend this to anyone who likes reading psychological thrillers.
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a honest review.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
Great thriller told from the point of view of each character. A little confusing till you put them all together. But when it comes together it is a great read.
I love domestic thrillers and this one did not disappoint.
The concept of this story was good but the characters were unbearable!
There are 6 POVs but they were very similar so it is hard to keep interest and at times I felt myself skim reading rather than taking in the storyline.
The last quarter of the book did redeem itself slightly and picked up with a few twists.
Overall, I liked the premise but the characters and the POVs made this one a struggle for me.
