Another great read in this fantastic crime series.
With the body of a pregnant woman found in the woods, Jo and Arnett know this is no ordinary killer.
The investigation gets underway but soon another pregnant woman is found dead, posed in the same way.
They were both linked to a baby group and with Jo knowing someone who also goes there, this is a bit close to home.
This is a gripping crime thriller and a great story that definitely kept me guessing who the killer was.
I love Jo’s character and can’t wait to see what’s in store for her in the next book.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.
Little Lost Dolls is book 7 in the Detective Jo Fournier series by M.M. Chouinard.
I’ve enjoyed this amazing series since book one and they keep getting better and better.
Little Lost Dolls has a captivating and suspenseful plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Detective Jo Fournier is a well-crafted and likable character who you can't help but root for as she works to solve the case. The twists and turns in the story are expertly woven, and the pacing is just right, making it impossible to put down. This book is a perfect addition to the series and sets the bar high for future books. I highly recommend this book to all fans of crime fiction, giving it a well-deserved five stars.

Thank You NetGalley and Bookouture for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!
Loved this book!! So fast-paced I read the whole thing in one day-- literately impossible to put down! In addition to a great plot, the characters are vividly drawn and compelling. The setting - I won't give any spoilers-- really raises the stakes.
Highly recommend. 5/5 Stars!
Little Lost Dolls (Detective Jo Fournier Book 7) is a gripping crime thriller with a shocking twist by M.M. Chouinard. The story's premise is the lines people draw with respect to money and relationships and the consequences of those lines.
Little Lost Dolls is another great book and story by M.M. Chouinard. There were some sad moments, and the book had good character rapport, which is nice to read.
Jo is at the pumpkin patch with her nieces and family when she gets a call from her brother-in-law's ex-mistress. Chelsea's pregnant friend is missing, and Jo is on the hunt to find out what happened.
I really love Jo and Bob Arnett. Such great storytelling and good red herrings kept me on my toes about what was happening and who could be involved.
I don't want to give too much away, but so glad the dog was found alive, but still sad about what transpired.
I love the cover, as it really sets the stage for the story. A good quote about money and the inequities of those who have and have not: "I could go work for another company or with wealthy clients, but I don't want to do that and I shouldn't have to"—I feel this same way.
A great addition to the series. A 5 out of 5 stars. I would highly recommend this author, this book, and this series. Can't wait for more!

M.M. Chouinard's Little Lost Dolls may be the author's best book -- and that is saying something considering the quality of writing and imagination in the Jo Fournier Series. As a police detective, she's placed in a compromising position when her brother-in-law's ex-mistress (who happens to be pregnant) contacts her about a friend who has disappeared (and is also pregnant). Both women were in support groups at 3Bs run buy a close-knit group of women who want to ensure babies are born healthy. The missing woman investigation quickly turns into something much more sinister - and Jo and Arnett are pushed to their limits to determine who is taking advantage of pregnant women. Absolutely fabulous read (I didn't want the book to end!). Thank you to Bookouture for an advanced reader of this book. The opinions expressed are my own.
From USA Today bestseller M.M. Chouinard, Little Lost Dolls is a keep-you-up-all-night utterly gripping crime thriller with a truly jaw-dropping twist! Fans of Lisa Regan, Melinda Leigh and Gregg Olsen will be completely addicted. It did keep me up all night. If you know me you know I love books by this publisher. Their books are 😘
I didn't see that coming. The twist and everything else. All I can say is go, get a copy!
4.5 that I am rounding up to 5 for all the twists and turns that kept the pages turning.
Little Lost Dolls is Book 7 in the series and in my opinion it is the best one yet. /
Jo and her team are racing against the clock to solve who is depraved enough to be killing pregnant women and posing their bodies.
The details are graphic and cringe worthy.
The ladies all know each other but it has to be more than that.
I followed the clues, the secrets and thought I had all the answers.
M.M. Chouinard will keep you on your toes in Little Lost Dolls and I cant wait to see what adventure awaits Jo and the entire team next book.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for another page turning read.
While I do regret starting this series on the 7th nook I still managed to cope with having done a Google before starting. The characters are interesting and well described and I will be starting from.book one in the future
You will be burning the midnight oil reading this one. Beware - the creep factor is high in this book just because of the crude and disturbing manner of death. There is a demented killer on the loose again in Oakhurst. Detective Jo Fournier and Detective Bob Arnett are looking for a missing pregnant woman. When her body is found, the ghoulish discovery will make your hair stand on end. The young woman's body has been found, and the manner of death is disturbing, as well as the fact that the body is laid out as if she has been posed to look like she is peacefully sleeping except for the blood.
You are introduced to four friends in the beginning pages (three of which are pregnant). When another one of the pregnant ladies turns up dead, the alert goes to code red as it appears someone is targeting pregnant women. The question is why?
There are plenty of secrets underneath the surface of this story, and as the story is laid out and told, the mystery builds and deepens. Secrets and lies can be deadly in this case.
I love this series for several reasons. I enjoy the characters. The camaraderie between Fournier and Arnett makes them relatable to me as the reader and enjoyable to get to know. With every book that I read, I feel like I am meeting up with a friend that I have not heard from in awhile to catch up on their life. The mystery in this one was tense and a little scary. Chouinard knows how to pull the reader into the story so much so that you feel like you are standing next to the characters and can feel their pain, frustration and other emotions. This particular mystery was a little chilling and creepy. Chouinard loves to provide plenty of suspects, and just when you think you have it figured out, you find out you had it all wrong. If you enjoy a good police procedural with a serial killer vibe, you will enjoy this book and this series. This is another winner in the Detective Jo Fournier series, now I anxiously await the next installment.
Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Part of a series featuring Detective Jo Fournier. Someone is killing pregnant women and No and her team race to find connections. Lots of twists.
I love this series and this book was fantastic. It’s great to catch up with Jo and her team. This time they are trying to solve the brutal murder of pregnant women. Also I love hearing about her sister and nieces.
WOW this book is fantastic M.M. Chouinard is a phenomenal writer!
The amount of twist and all the puzzles piece good lord I loved it so much. Such a fantastic fast paced book with great characters that are relatable.
I WAS SHOCKED AT WHO THE KILLER WAS!!!! I tried to guess but boy was a wrong.
Everyone needs to read this series ASAP.
This is a super read from the author in the Jo Fournier series, with a clever piece of plotting. Jo is hunting the killer of pregnant women possibly linked to a satanic cult. It's fast paced, with multiple characters and a huge list of suspects! Another excellent, fast paced read in the series. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.
This is book number seven in the Detective Jo Fournier series and my fourth one! The gang is all back to solve multiple murders and catch a killer before they strike again. Pace is good and the characters are interesting. Will keep you reading all the way through!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC!
This was another of the books I started and finished the same day. I had to keep on reading until I knew who was responsible. There were some sad moments (possibly due to reading it while my daughter was pregnant too) and I enjoyed trying to guess who did what. This is part of a series, but this is the first book I've read in it and I don't see why it can't be read as a standalone as I enjoyed it immensely.
Book seven in the Detective Jo Fournier series and the third for me as I have been invested since book five.
Jo and her team are tasked with finding the killer who appears to have an obsession with pregnant woman but during there investigation it becomes clear not everything/body is as it seems as there are several layers to this investigation that must be explored.
The main characters in this series are an interesting bunch who compliant each other with their quirks and personalities and the ones who are integral to this book are well thought out and add to the quality of the story.
Another tense suspenseful read.
How I love this series! How much do I love Jo Fournier.? All seven books took first place on my TBR list. Jo and her team are on the trail of a really creepy murderer this time. Jo’s personal life crosses her professional life in this one too. We know that Jo has a complicated relationship with her sister, especially now that her sister has decided to give her cheating husband a second chance (eye roll please). We meet a group of pregnant women including Chelsea, (her sisters husbands ex) and we see such a diverse interesting group of women and we don’t want to lose any of them but somebody has other ideas. It’s tense, detailed, well paced and I was surprised at the reveal of the killer.
When a pregnant woman is found murdered in a local park, Detective Jo Fournier is called to the scene. The victim is nude with her throat slashed and a knife stabbed into her abdomen. There is a satanic symbol around the knife and candles on the rock boulders around the body. All of this looks like a ritual murder, leading Jo and her team in several directions. The victim was single with an unknown father of the child, so the usual suspect of the lover is hard to pinpoint. In the midst of that investigation, another pregnant murder victim is found at an eerily similar scene. Jo questions the leader of a new satanic cult but finds no connections to the victims. The two murdered women did attend the same Lamaze and pregnancy exercise classes through a charitable prenatal care center. When another victim is discovered, the search for the murderer is intense. Can Jo and the team find and stop this perp from continuing the killing spree? It's a great book.
I could not put this book down, so many twists that had my head spinning. This is book 7 of the Detective Jo Fournier series by M. M. Chouinard and each book is better than the other. Jo and her partner are racing again the clock to find out who is targeting pregnant women and killing them , it seems everybody is keeping secrets. I love this series and was shocked at who the killer was, did not see that twist coming. Thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for this arc.
This was just the dream for any crime/ thriller fan! It has so many twists and turns and it absolutely keeps you guessing til the end.
It's cleverly written with so many threads that all seem impossible to be connected but then everything just falls into place neatly
It's a little bit dark and gritty without being vulgar. The characters are well written and likeable and just seem so human! They're original characters without falling into stereotypes or feeling like I e seen these people in other books before
If you want something that will have you hooked from start to finish, this is the one!!
