I received a preview copy of this book. The photography is gorgeous with both food and scenic images. The recipes and stories are from some of the most remote places in the world. This book would look great on the coffee table as well as being a fascinating copy to include in a cookbook library. I look forward to reading more upon its release! Thank you to National Geographic Books and Net Galley for an ARC copy sample for review.
If you enjoyed the National Geographic television show and would like to make the recipes you saw, this is a good choice.
There is a small description of each locale along with the area on the world map.
Recipe ingredients are listed and directions are given.
If you were hoping for more than what was in the show, it is not here..
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me this ARC.
I was able to read a sample of this, and enjoyed the photography, recipes, and the story. I think a lot of people will probably enjoy the book, and I will probably flip through it at some point as well.
Loved it. Gordon Ramsay is one of my favorite chefs. He keeps it real and makes delicious food. I hope that he does more books like this.
Gorgeous Cookbook companion to the National Geographic show Gordon Ramsey Uncharrted. Breathtaking photos and glorious descriptions of the places, people, and food of the world. The recipes are as diverse as the lands they come from. Chef Ramsey loves food and adventure and combines the two with flares of awe and his spitfire personality! Thank you for letting me come along!
This is a beautiful book-from the stories shared from each country to the recipes and the pictures. I was super bummed this was only a preview of the book-but, after seeing a chapter absolutely will be picking up a copy for myself and my friends for Christmas.
Gordon Ramsay's Uncharted sample gave me just a "taste."
It's a beautiful book with wonderful descriptions of the places Gordon visited. The detailed discussion about the recipes and the ingredients used are simply lovely. The book itself will be an experience. Since this was only a sample - and a brief one at that - I can't give significant feedback. I will just say that it has definite promise to be something special.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC of the sample.
Beautiful work. Photos and recipes take you to the places Ramsey is eating and traveling. I only received part of the book to review so I didn’t get to see the entire thing but it is one worth checking out.
This looks like it will probably be an interesting book, but it's impossible to know from the short and horribly misformatted sample I was provided. I couldn't follow the text or the recipes, so I won't be posting a review on my usual sites.
This was just a sample that was a little bit hard to read and follow (I did not find that this book was good as an e-book, a physical copy would probably be better). Without the full book, I am not able to accurately give a rating.
Ummm- a sample? I would like to see the whole cookbook in order to rate it fairly. Thanks to Netgalley for this snippet.
I am definitely going to need to buy this book upon release. This was only a short sample of what the actual book will include. I loved this show and wanted to make the dishes so this was perfect! The sample included a few Moroccan dishes and background about his travel there and to the other places that he has traveled.
Sample included information about his travels to Morocco along with three delicious recipes. The table of contents lists the other places he traveled to - wonderful gift for adventurous cooks.

This was a very short sample of what the book actually includes. There were several Moroccan recipes that look delicious and are very detailed so it would be nice to see the rest of the 60 recipes. Love Gordon Ramsey and his cooking.
This ARC was only an eleven page sample, so it is really hard to judge the merits of the book as a cookbook. The one part included had gorgeous photos and the kind of information you expect from National Geographic. I'm sure the rest of the book will be equally lovely.
I'd give it a higher rating if I'd received more of the book to review.
Gordon Ramsey is one of my hero’s. I’ve been to many of his restaurants so of course I had to read his new cookbook! As always he is sharing his love of cooking through this new cookbook! I can’t wait to try one of the recipes. Thank you NetGalley for letting me preview this new cookbook!
I love Gordon Ramsay and I love food from all over the world so this book is definitely right up my alley. This was only an excerpt so I don't have a lot to go on other than the index, but it really does look a book that I will love, full of recipes, culture, and adventure.
I had no idea this was just a sample when I requested it.
It was pretty disappointing to load up what I thought was a full cookbook and then realize it was a very short sample.
The concept is cool, I like the idea of recipes inspired by his travels.
And the recipes included make the book itself seem promising.
If the powers that be would like to send me an arc or finished copy of the full book I’d be happy to try out some recipes and review it.
There are three things I am certain of: 1. Gordon Ramsay's Uncharted: A Culinary Adventure With Recipes From Around the World is coming out soon, 2. Gordon Ramsay is the author. 3. National Geographic is the publisher. That's all I need to know. I already preordered my copy and a few for gifts of this illustrated coffee table cookbook. In his search for new savory inspiration, Ramsay travels to 25 unique adventure spots searching for indigenous people to share inspirational and savory recipes. Insights shared by National Geo's photographers are also among the many reasons to have this book.
As expected, I found nothing in this sample that I didn't enjoy. I thank NetGalley and National Geographic for providing this digital ARC (advance review copy) sampler of the unedited chapter. I've formed my opinions on the assumption that the entire project is of consistent, first-class quality as these pages, I voluntarily submit my honest review and opinions.
I recommend this book to readers of all ages who are interested in the categories of coffee table books, celebrity & tv show cookbooks, International Cooking & Wine, National Geographic, Gordon Ramsey, and ethnic foods.
I enjoyed this sample. From the included pages it looks to be full of a range or recipes from the people native to the twenty one of the locations that he visited. The pictures were amazing and included a good variety of photos from locations, to foods to behind the scenes photos of Ramsay's interactions.
