Well My, My My…..
I discovered Joe Kenda on The Homicide Hunter sometime last year, and have been obsessed since! And although I am an avid reader, I did not realize Kenda had also written some books! I literally jumped up and down with excitement when I saw his latest title was on Netgalley, and when I got approved, well I could not wait to pick it up. Ok, ok, enough fan girling, let’s get to the book 😁.

All Is Not Forgiven is a fictional book inspired by a case Joe worked on as a rookie detective, a case that still both fascinates and haunts him. The story follows Kenda as a rookie detective back in 1975, involving a murder of a very wealthy beloved wife and mother. As more information is uncovered, a connection is made to a string of similar murders, and the FBI, CIA and Interpol get involved as they join forces to try and catch a killer.

Although this story was mostly fictional, it did read like a true crime piece of nonfiction in my head. It was hard not to read it in Joes voice, which really made it all the more enjoyable for me 😃. I thought it was a cool story and Kendas humor always gets me 😂. The way the murders were executed and the unusual ammunition used in the attacks was an intriguing part of the story. I also loved learning about some inside police jargon like the voluntary mountain disposal team 😆. I definitely recommend this one and I can’t wait to read Kendas other books! ❤️
As soon as I realized Joe Kenda wrote a fiction novel I knew I had to read it! It was so good for a police procedural! I highly enjoyed it and I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to try a police procedural.
I am a huge fan of Joe Kenda and Homicide Hunter. All Is Not Forgotten is a great read and follows along the path of his show. He tells us a story and fills in the in between of his career.
Nail biting suspense!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.
If you are a fan of Det. Joe Kenda, then this read is for you! Thisnis his first written fiction novel that does borrow details from previous real cases.
This story follows Joe Kenda and his partner in 1975 while they try and capture the killer that is killing wives.
This is a fast paced book with many twists and turns. Highly recommend the read and look forward to more Joe Kenda books.
Thank you To Netgalley, the author and buplisjer for this ARC book in return for an honest review.
If you are a fan of Joe Kenda, then you'll really enjoy this book.
This is Kenda's first crime fiction book and I must say he killed it.
All Is Not Forgiven by Joe Kenda has a great writing style that I enjoyed a lot.
It kept me engaged and had me up way too late finishing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and thought the characters were well developed and perfectly executed.
A very well written story and I will look out for any book this author will write in the future.
"I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."
Thank You NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!
This is a crime fiction book, which I normally wouldn’t be interested in, but the author is a favorite of mine. I’ve read both of his non-fiction works, so I decided to give this new endeavor a chance. I was glad I did, as it was very much worth reading, an exciting page-turner. Lots of intrigue and suspense and moves briskly. I found it enjoyable and look forward to his next release.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.
I've read Joe Kenda's nonfiction books so I knew this novel would be great. I really like his sense of humor. There was plenty of action to keep me wanting to read more. I hope he continues to write books and I'll always look forward to reading them.
If you are a Joe Kenda lover, then you'll enjoy this book. This is Kenda's first fiction book which stems from a case that's haunted him from when he was a homicide detective. If you're not a Kenda fan yet, then this book is still for you. Sprinkled throughout the book is Kenda's witty and dry but hilarious sense of humor.
All is not Forgotten is a fast paced book from the first page filmed with twists and turns. What sets this apart from many other thrillers is that you could actually see this happening in real life. Often I'd forget that this wasn't a real Kenda story but I'm sure that's because this book's plot stemmed from an actual case.
I'd like to thank the publisher and Netgalley for the the ARC.
As a long time fan of Detective Joe Kenda, his previous shows and true crime books, I can say that his first fiction thriller did not disappoint!
While investigating a severed hand found in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and a murdered socialite, Rookie Detective Joe Kenda and his partner Detective Lee Wilson learn there is a hit man on the loose. Prostitutes and socialites are being killed in many cities with the same M.O. This sends them on a fast paced journey into the world of ex-military mercenaries, mob pit bosses, the FBI, CIA, and Interpol to stop the killer before someone else gets hurt and the people who hired him get away.
This book was well written with touches of the dry humor that Kenda is known for. It also offers a glimpse into the toll these cases take on law enforcement. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough! I just reviewed All Is Not Forgiven by Joe Kenda. #AllIsNotForgiven #NetGalley #bookstagram
This was my first book by Joe Kenda but it definitely won’t be my last! It kept me very interested from beginning to end. Thanks Netgalley!!
If you like Reacher, you’re going to love Kenda. In his first fictional contribution, we have everything thriller fans will love. Sexy ladies, well named guns, casino fixers, mercenaries, questionable motives. Follow the intrepid rookie, Kenda, as he tracks the blood soaked path of a relentless killer. There’s even a little worn police humor for that crowd. All in all, action packed and sure to find a solid fan base.
