I pride myself on being able to predict how books and movies are going to play out. Boy was I wrong time and time again while reading this one. Each page brought an unexpected layer to the story, making this book stand out for me. Grace is described as the girl with a plan while Carson is the more carefree character but one weekend changes all of that for them. While I wasn't the biggest fan of the judgment on his early career choice, I know this is common. Overall I liked how both Carson and Grace grew up separately over time before realizing they should be together. The weekend was a huge catalyst in both of their lives. Sometimes it really is the right person, wrong time. The way Mia used this book to also shed light on a huge issue like human trafficking is admirable. I really hope there are some Carson's out there in this world trying to fight that battle just as passionately as he is alongside his team.

I enjoyed this, as I have with every one of the books I've read by Mia Sheridan. Was it my favourite? No, but I still devoured it.

I really loved the character of Carson, but had a hard time connecting with Grace. I found her judgements toward Carson and the industry he worked in a little too much. It was obvious that Carson was hiding who he truly was or wanted to be, and maybe that's because he didn't really know at the time either. I liked the relationship with his agent, who even though he had a contract she let him out of it because she could tell he didn't want to do what he was doing anymore. I can't lie I expected her to pitch a fit, but she didn't and I liked that.

It definitely feels like two different stories once you get to a specific part of the book, and I understand the reason for it, but it definitely felt like two books in one just with the same characters. I loved seeing Carson grow into a person that he was proud of because he deserved that.

All in all, Carson Stinger stole the show for me and I love him.

A fun, quick and steamy read! After catching feelings for sweet and sexy guy and knowing he works in the adult entertainment industry, Grace isn't willing to go any further without his job breaking her heart. After Carson's deployment ending and several years go by, Carson and Grace's paths cross in the most unexpected way. And it doesn't help Carson's case to start with Grace where they left off knowing that Grace is engaged to another man...

I’ve read most of Mia Sheridan’s novels, and Stinger has to rank in the top three (after Kyland and Archer’s Voice). I loved the characters and plot, as well as the angst and yearning that Sheridan writes so well. If I have one quibble, it’s that she whitewashes Stinger’s adult film star background—he’s made only a small handful of movies when he meets Grace, whereas in “real life” this character would likely have had hundreds of lovers. I think Sheridan probably felt a hardcore porn background for her character would have turned readers off. However, I think it would have been a brave choice that would have enriched the story. Even so, Sheridan delivers a steamy and touching romance.

Mia Sheridan's Stinger is a heartwarming and emotional standalone novel that explores the unlikely romance between two people from vastly different worlds. Carson Stinger, a successful adult performer with a troubled past, meets Grace Hamilton, a law student, during a convention weekend in Vegas. Despite their initial reservations and differences, the two are drawn to each other in ways that they never expected.

What follows is a captivating and emotionally charged journey as Carson and Grace navigate the challenges of their pasts, their personal demons, and their feelings for each other. The chemistry between the two is palpable, both inside and outside the bedroom, and readers will find themselves rooting for their love to succeed.

Mia Sheridan has once again demonstrated her talent for crafting deeply affecting romances that tug at the heartstrings. Her writing is immersive and evocative, transporting readers into the world of her characters and making them invested in their stories. Stinger is a testament to this, and readers will find themselves swept away by the passion, heartbreak, and eventual triumphs of Carson and Grace.

In conclusion, Stinger is a must-read for fans of Mia Sheridan and anyone who loves a good, emotional romance. It is a beautifully written story of love, redemption, and the power of connection, and it will leave readers with a sense of hope and happiness that will linger long after the final page.

Thank you Netgalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for sending me an ARC of this book in exchange of an honest review.

I’ve loved every part of this book and it’s just insane how much I love everything Mia writes.
This is just a new version and I keep asking myself why I didn’t pick this up before.

Can it be considered a second-chance when the main characters have only known each other for a weekend? I think so.
This book made me emotional for no apparent reason. Maybe it’s because Miss Mia Sheridan made it realistic.

It was sweet and steamy and perfect.
I keep forgetting her stories are some of the best I’ve ever read. It’s obviously a 5⭐️

Grace, an uptight law student, and Carson, a male entertainer, spend one wild weekend together in Vegas. Even though it was supposed to just be a weekend of no-strings sex, they both catch feelings and reluctantly go their separate ways. They go 5 whole years living their lives but never fully forgetting the other, only to find themselves face-to-face in Vegas- again.

I didn’t realize this was a rerelease but I enjoyed it. Grace and Carson’s chemistry was off the charts and there was some excellent spice. Even though they spent such a short amount of time together, they both inspired each other to make changes in their personal lives that were for the better. Seeing them come back together after so many years apart really bought the story full circle- such a good read!

I loved this book! I loved the characters, the writing, the story and for as silly as it starts, it ends so serious and meaningful. Mia Sheridan is a top favorite of mine and this book is a reason I fell in love with her writing way back when.

I felt the writing was good however I did not connect to the heroine. For me personally Carson carried the book, I craved scenes with him in it. Also there are quite a few time jumps. Overall the story was good and it takes a turn I NEVER saw coming. It was not a bad turn however I felt like I was reading a new book around the 66% mark. Same characters, same HOT romance but there is a twist. And the twist brought a new feel to the story. I’m not even sure how to explain it.

Do I recommend this book? YES,

This was a sweet story! Some parts I liked and others I loved! Wasn’t sure how I was gonna feel about the adult entertainment but Navy Seal is so much better lol

“She wanted me. Most women did, if I was going to be honest. Everyone was given one gift or another–mine was a smile women creamed their panties over and a body to match. Why be humble about it? It's not like I could take any credit–I just knew how to use my God-given assets”

i'm sorry but no, this book is awful, there is absolutely no tension between the main characters, plus they are so annoying that i want to bang my phone against my wall. the mmc makes me angry, i want to smack him in his ugly face. the writing was weird, i really tried to finish it but it's impossible for me. it was actually so horrible, not even after was that bad, the 18% i read got me rolling my eyes so much i think that says enough about how bad it is.

Thank you to Bloom Books & NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Grace & Carson’s love story couldn’t be more swoon worthy.

They’re both in Vegas for the weekend, but for vastly different reasons. Grace is 23 and there for a Law conference, as she is finishing up Law School. Carson is also 23, but is in Vegas for something very different. He’s there for a weekend of meet and greets because he is a Pornstar. It’s hate at first sight when Grace, bumps into Carson.

After getting off on the wrong foot, Grace and Carson get stuck together in an elevator, where they strike up a deal to spend the weekend together. But will one weekend be enough?

A story that spans the years following Grace and Carson’s lives after that amazing weekend in Vegas. Will they ever meet again? Are they destined to end up together?

This story had me feeling all the emotions so intensely, and I couldn’t help but root for Grace & Carson to end up together. I think this would make an amazing movie!!!

*Trigger warning for: Rape, military violence, and human trafficking.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and Mia Sheridan for providing me with an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

I really wanted to love this as I loved Archer’s Voice however, I just didn’t. It took me quite a while to get into the story but I just found Grace’s character to be quite boring.
The most entertaining parts of the novel for me were all of Carson’s life- him in the navy, him working with his fellow soldiers to help women survive human trafficking.
I also felt like there was a lack of chemistry between the characters (probably largely due to me finding grace to be boring in comparison to Carson)

The story overall is nice but the book is divided into three parts and the second part feels very unwanted and the book is uselessly lengthy. It is a tale of a porn star leaving the job and becoming a navy seal for the girl he loves.

Stinger by Mia Sheridan is a stand-alone romance, and this book is a true gem and way too underrated.

The story is about Grace and Carson who run into each other in a hotel in Las Vegas. And that is when their two worlds collide, and both are very different from each other.  Grace is a law student striving for an amazing career, while Carson works in the adult film industry. Initially there is quite some hate between them, but when they get stuck in an elevator, their hatred for each other turns into something else. They decide to spend the weekend together and I was living for the two and rooting for them. The steam in this book is immaculate and so hot. At the same time, they deepen their relationship through intimacy, and I loved that.

However, at some point they must get back to their everyday lives. This part truly hurt because I just wanted them to be together so badly. You could still see their feelings, but as a matter of fate, they found a way back to each other.

I saw a quote on Pinterest that said „I don’t know if I want to take you on cute dates & watch sunsets or if I want to push you up a wall and f your brains out“ and this basically captures the story in a nutshell. Buttercup x Desert Hyena forever.

Overall, this book is one of my new all-time fav books. If you like Mia Sheridan books, you need to check out this book, because it’s amazing and deserves more hype. Also, if you like books like The Roommate by Rosie Danan or Lingus by Mariana Zapata but better, this story will be for you. 5+ stars.

I really really loved this book! Grace and Carson were it for me. I loved Carson’s character development.

Can Mia do any wrong at this point? She is amazing. The way she is able to tell a story is like nothing I have ever seen before.

Archer’s Voice is my absolute go to and Stinger is going to be right up there from now on.

I don’t mind a steamy romance but this just didn’t do it for me. I was bored and the book was very predictable.
Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book.

✨Book Review!✨
“Stinger”
By Mia Sheridan
Release Date: June 6th, 2023
📚ARC from NetGalley
•••
This months ARC read was “Stinger” by Mia Sheridan. Without knowing what to expect out of this book, I assumed it was a steamy romance after reading the first few chapters. It quickly turned in to more of a contemporary romance/military romance/kind of a thriller by the end! I loved the shift in how the story was written. I feel like without it, the book could have been just like any other romance but instead, it had depth and made me want to continue reading to find out more. Mia Sheridan really did a fantastic job writing this book. The characters are well written and easy to love (or hate, if we’re talking about the bad guy), the plot is fantastic and the setting is well thought out!
🚨I would keep in mind there may be some triggers in this book for some readers. The second half does contain issues of human trafficking, talk of rape and abuse. (But Carson and his friends are there to save the day, so no worries!)
•••
When Grace Hamilton arrives in Vegas for a law conference, she suspects her stay will be just like any other. Relaxing by the pool studying law books and attending the conference each day to hear the speakers presentations. What she doesn’t know, is that when she meets Carson Stinger-“Straight Male Performer”, her life will be forever changed.

I am so thankful I had the chance to read this book before its release in June! It exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it. If you like a good plot, a story with depth and drama but with A LOT of spicy scenes… you don’t want to miss Stinger!
