What an incredibly adorable collection of comics! This a cute slice of life story of two bears in love with their dino pet. This created such warm feelings and was like reading a hug. The artwork is wonderful and sweet.
Thanks for the opportunity to read this comic book in exchange for an honest review!
This comic is just totally adorable. I love cute characters like Mocha, Milk and Matcha. The little comics are great and I think the author Melani Sie is onto a winner with these. I can imagine lots of merchandise for these little guys in future. The comics are very wholesome and full of love. I think these comics are great for adults and kids alike.
This is the cutest, fluffiest book I've read in a long time.
Milk & Mocha are the perfect example of how opposites attract.
The illustrations are so cute. The book allows us to follow Milk & Mocha going about their daily business with their pet dino.
This book has you feeling warm and fuzzy!
Definitely a feel good book.
Thank you Netgalley for the e-arc!
Very cute and soft. I enjoyed the relationship between the two bears. It was nice representation to have the one bear be nonverbal, although I was probably about halfway through the book when I realized that.
3.5⭐️
I want to start off by saying this comic was super cute and I loved the art style! The characters were silly and relatable. I absolutely adored them. The structure of the book was where things fell a little bit flat for me. It didn’t feel like there was much flow between the pages/stories and I found myself a little confused. I think I would have enjoyed the story of the two meeting at the beginning of the book rather than the end. Overall I would still love to read more about them but perhaps with more of a story and a clearer understanding of what was going on! Thank you so much for providing me with an ARC through NetGalley.
Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for the arc in exchange of an honest review.
I truly enjoyed this cute & adorable story. Milk and Mocha Comics Collection tells of real life situations (like being hangry or eating off your partner's plate even though you're full) through pictures. It made me giggle out loud and feel the love they shared. I will definitely be purchasing the graphic novel to add to my collection.
How have I never seen these comics before?!
The art style is simple in the best sort of way, easy to parse and filled with calming colors. The characters are beyond adorable, eminently squishable, and look like they're born to be plushies. The lovey-dovey relationship between Milk and Mocha is cute and their interactions are relatable.
I do believe artists of cutesy comics are underrated in their ability to exactly illustrate daily life - and this collection is yet another example. I hope my future holds more Milk & Mocha books!
This is the most joyful little book of comics! I love how so much is expressed in just four little panels, and I enjoy flipping through them when I need a pick me up! Plus the art is just plain cute!
Before I get into the review, a quick thank you to both NetGalley and the publishers over at Andrews McMeel Publishing for allowing me access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review. The popular WebComic Milk & Mocha is now being turned into a traditionally published book. “Cheerful Milk and patient Mocha share their adorable slice-of-life adventures in this comic collection as they show how opposites really do attract.” I feel like I’ve seen these characters in passing on the internet but now there’s a whole book about them. Milk & Mocha: Our Little Happiness comes out on July 25th and is available for preorder now.
I’ll keep this short and sweet since Milk, Mocha, and their dinosaur friend are all short and sweet. This was a super fast comic. It took me...10? 15 minutes to read? There was little text so it was quick and easy to get through. Some of the sweetest moments are in here. And there were so many times I wanted to show a page to my husband but since he’s at work I’ll just have to point them out to him later. I love adding in a comic or something from NetGalley while I’m reading something with a little more oomph to it. I’m currently half way through Jade City so this was great for breaking that up for me and pulling me into a much lighter headspace. Just completely adorable.
This was such a cute and fun read! I love whenever these comics come through my feed and I jumped at the opportunity to review the collection and am so grateful to receive an ARC. This was an amazing and wholesome read. Every scenario/comic was realistic and v cute and adorbs.
Thank you, Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley, for the copy of Milk and Mocha comics collection!
This was so cute!! I loved the characters and all the adorable moments between the characters, and how they find happiness in small things
Highly recommend it if you're looking for a fun, lighthearted read.
A most heartfelt thank you to Netgalley and Melani Sie for giving me the chance to read "Milk & Mocha Comics Collection" in exchange for my honest review.
This was the cutest comic collection I've read in my entire life. I'm positively in love with Milk & Mocha and Matcha (let's never forget the little cutie) and the heartwarming and beautifully drawn stories in this collection are simply to "awww" for *cue heart eyes*.
A slice-of-life comic that has won a piece of my heart over the years, Milk&Mocha are a lot more than simply special to me, they have been the inspiration for cute personal and family moments -most recent bbeing telling my nephew about the comic, or more like narrating as a bed time story and making him want to hear more.
The cherry on top of everything , is the never before seen story of how Milk & Mocha found each other and came to be the cute little pair we can't get enough off.
First of all, thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing for the copy in advance<3 I literally screamed.
I start saying that I'm a fan of Melani Sie.
I love Milk&Mocha since I found their stickers for Whattsapp. So, when I've seen on Netgalley a comic collection with them as protagonists I HAD to request it.
I haven't been disappointed. At all.
This is a fun and fast reading that will make you genuinely smile for the tenderness and the hilarious pictures you'll find inside.
These two main characters (plus a lovable new entry) are so cute I just beam at them and keep reading. I wanted to save some pages for the next days but... it's impossible not to keep going until the end! (and now I want more)
The magic of drawing is the fact that you don't need pages and pages of words to describe situations, feelings and contexts. And Melani Sie is able to give all of them in just 3-4 panels.
I definitely suggest you this reading <3
I love the characters Milk and Mocha! These characters remind me so much of my partner and I. I’m always sending Milk and Mocha memes to my partner. I’m so glad to have read this ebook ARC! This book was very cute I am adding this to my wishlist asap so I can buy the physical copy when it comes out! (Also, it comes with stickers!!)
This book was so cute and adorable.
It is a collection of different comic short stories of 2 bears.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for the arc in exchange of an honest review.
Milk & Mocha is an adorable comic collection featuring two bears! This was the definition of sunshine x grumpy and was so stinkin' cute. I loved how we slowly got to see how these two met and became friends! It was a sweet, warm and fuzzy read and would be a great palate cleanser, of sorts, between heavier reads.
I really enjoyed this and found it to be adorable. It was a good collection of comics that I found hard to put down.
This is super-cute, the drawings are really warm, and the relationship between Milk and Mocha is one almost everyone can relate to. If you just have a couple of minutes to read or you want to feel warm this is a perfect comic (and probably a really nice present too). However I can't give it a higher rating for two simple reasons: there is zero originality here (there are many authors doing the same, in the same style, comic strips, funny situations, contraposition between the two characters' personalities (one lazy, the other hard-working, etc.)) and, even if the comic is not very long, it repeats itself here and there.
Again, cute, it will make you smile, and if you are (were) in a relationship, many relatable situations. But nothing to make it special either.
This is a cute 4-panel color comic with the bears and dino from Milk & Mocha brand. Overall, it's a very sweet slice of life and would recommend getting it for people who love simple and cute stuff. The situations are very relatable even though they're bears.
If you've been to a big anime or comic convention, you've probably seen this booth in the exhibit hall. This book would work well as a combo present with the other kawaii merch and stickers that they have online.
The popular webcomic @milkmochabear has a little book! This fun, slice of life vignettes showcase Milk, Mocha, and Matcha falling in love with their little found family.
I was particularly obsessed with the story of how Milk and Mocha met, and how Matcha finally accepted Mocha as one of his parents.
Overall extremely sweet graphic novel to look through either by yourself or with your partner. I have already sent a bunch of the vignettes to my boyfriend with the caption "look thats us!" Either way, you are bound to have such a wonderful time with this one.
