thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy of milk and mocha comics collection. this was so cute! Exactly how I expected and I will definitely need to get copies for my store.
If you need a mood booster, the collection of cuteness will do it. I've seen these adorable bears all over the internet and I frequently send their gifs in text messages, but never knew who they were. It was great to get a little backstory and a peek into their relationship. I smiled throughout the reading this novel and it just made me so happy! As an introvert, I related to Mocha so much and found Milk so entertaining. Milk and Mocha are the cutest relationship goals eva!
A big thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Hands down, one of the most adorable comics I've read. Trust me, you look like you need the serotonin.
Milk and Mocha share their sweet slice-of-life moments in this new collection, including never-before-seen comics! Milk and Mocha are charming bears with opposite personalities. These uplifting comics remind us of the sweet moments we share with our friends, family, and loved ones.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS COMIC! I will forever be recommending it!
This adorable collection of Milk and Mocha comics are full of love and happiness. The cartoons are sweet, of course. The little stories are fun ways to appreciate and remind us of all the wonderful things in life, especially friends. "This books is for those who love to enjoy all the little things." Beautiful collection!
Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to review this eARC in exchange for my honest review on the book!
This was too cute! Milk, Mocha, and Matcha are the absolute best. I loved all the little slice of life comics. I will definitely be buying a copy when it comes out! It is just so sweet and wholesome. All the hearts.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I can see how this became a published collection because it fits so nicely with others that are similar like Sarah's Scribbles and and Catana Comics that share the mundane and every day but expressing it in adorable, sentimental, sweet, and sweetly obnoxious ways that most couples would understand. Then you add in a cute animal pet and you've got a lovely collection of "our little happiness". It's a nice brain break slice of life.
So cute!! This book is composed of various little comic strips about everyday situations of Milk and Mocha (and their little dinosaur Matcha). The bears have opposite personalities, Milk is super energetic and Mocha is more reserved. But, even with their differences, the communication is really well done in the relationship. Anyway, It's really easy to read, super fast and with really cute illustrations.
*Thank you Netgalley, the author and the publisher fot this eARC*
These illustrations are absolutely adorable!
This would be a perfect collection of books to take on a car ride or to keep kids entertained,
In a Nutshell: Adorable, especially for fans of these characters, though it has universal appeal.
I had seen these two bears many times in GIFs, but because of my not being an avid webtoons reader, I never knew that they are quite popular characters named Milk and Mocha from the webcomic @milkmochabear by Indonesian comic creator Melani Sie. When I saw this title on NetGalley, I requested it only because I loved the GIFs. Knowing them through this work has been fun!
This is a collection of some cute little comics and mini-stories featuring Mocha – a brown bear who is somewhat introverted and reserved, Milk – a white bear who is hyperactive and bubbly all the time, and their pet dino Matcha, who has a strong personality that is inversely proportional to his size.
Milk and Mocha are opposite in nature, though they share a love for the movies, food and sleep. Milk is akin to a loveable puppy, while Mocha is more like a silent cat. I was reading this comic with my younger one for company, so we had a fun time discussing who was more like Milk and who was like Mocha. (Apparently, I am grumpy Mocha’s twin. Oh well! I do love to read as much as Mocha does, so I will accept this comparison graciously.)
Most of the comics in this book depict the strong bond the two bears have with each other, even when they don’t agree on something. A couple of the themes felt repetitive, but overall, this was a heartwarming comic collection.
The backstory of how Milk and Mocha met is also present in the book, albeit right at the end of the book. I would have preferred this to be somewhere towards the start as it explains why Mocha never spoke. Until then, I couldn’t figure out why he communicated only through his tablet.
The relationship between the two bears is not openly specified, except for the fact that they are in love. Their gender is also not clarified. This leaves their relationship wonderfully open to interpretation.
The illustrations are as adorable as you can see from the cover. All the three characters are sketched with a kawaii quality that renders them so sweetly enchanting.
My little one and I enjoyed this delightful comic. We smiled, we laughed, we even went “Awww!” a couple of times. If you want a charming graphic novel comic to relax with, this is a lovely option. The physical copy even has stickers included.
4 stars.
My thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley for the DRC of “Milk & Mocha: Our Little Happiness”. This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book.
This is so cute and I love these characters so much! I recognized them from the Discord emotes I have seen of the characters, which is what lead me to request this book. Definitely a fun and easy read, and something I would recommend to reluctant readers who are interested in graphic novels.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!
Okay this was just the cutest thing I think my eyes have ever seen on paper! (or...well....a phone screen). Milk and Mocha (and definitely Matcha too!) will warm your heart, make you smile, and force you to relax for a few minutes as you dive into their little world.
Can't recommend this adorable comic more - the art, the stories, the characters, they're all perfect!
I loved the little passage this book started out with. It was about happiness and enjoying the little moments in life. That perfectly set the tone and expectations for this book going in. The one or two page comics were perfect vignettes of these adorable bears’ relationship. Although some of the comics didn’t land for me or I didn’t “get”, many of them were heartwarming and relatable to me, making me screenshot them and send them to my husband.
Although I think i’d rather stick with following this artist’s instagram and buying merch such as stickers and prints rather than an entire book of comics, this is sure to be a great buy for oneself or as a gift for a loved one.
I've always been a big fan of Milk & Mocha, so when I saw this comic available, I needed it immediately!! I honestly didn't know this book was going to be published, and I'm super excited to grab this I'm a physical copy. This definitely isn't a deep read or anything, but it's still just a joy to read. I sometimes struggle with these short mini comics compiled in a collection, mainly because I feel like those style comics are often better read over a longer period of time and I usually like to read comics in one sitting. This one, however, is one that I feel like works both as a comic to read all at once or one enjoyed over days, in small bites at a time. I may be biased because I already adored these bears to begin with, but I feel like this collection is just a perfect showcase of their stories and lives. There were just so many cute snippets of their lives, without getting repetitive. I loved the few longer comics that were included as well, and felt like it brought a nice balance to the book as a whole. Overall, I was a big fan of this (as I knew I would be), and I can't wait to grab a copy of this once it releases!

🧸Plot: From the popular webcomic @milkmochabear comes a collection of the cutest, sweetest trio around. Join bears Milk and Mocha, and their pet dragon Matcha as they spread love to everyone who crosses their path.
🧸Review: Cozy and cuteness overload! My life before reading this adorable collection of comics is bleak compared to the love and sunshine radiating from this adorable group of cuddly characters. As a lifelong tea drinker, Matcha has my whole heart (don’t tell my partner that). Perfect for a rainy day because no one can be under the weather with these guys around. My young patrons who love kawaii books will fall in love with this book as hard and fast as I have.
It should be no surprise to anyone that I absolutely adored this book. The Milk & Mocha Comics Collection was sweet, funny, and wholesome from start to finish. It's a wonderful book for kids or to exchange cute comics with the one you love. Either way, I truly enjoyed this heartwarming little book.
Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher of Andrews McMeel Publishing, and the author Melanie Sie for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. As someone who has a partner, I discovered this webcomic through Instagram by my partner sending me these comics. Every time I was sent comics of Milk and Mocha, I felt so much happiness because of how cute and relatable the couple's comics are. I was delighted to read this book and to learn about Milk and Mocha's origins. This book is a great expansion of the webcomics and for any new or old fans, this book is worth getting.
This book was so adorable, I loved everything about it, the illustrations were so well done, they suited the book perfectly, the story was amazing as well, even thought is very short I could really connect with the characters.
I’m sure the kids are going to be just as enthralled with this amazing book as I was.
I will definitely recommend!
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this early copy
It was a very cute book. I see Milk and Mocha all over my Instagram feeds and send them to my partner all the time. This is a book that I would get them as a present as many of the cartoons remind me of us.

Want to thank Netgalley and publishers for giving me the chance to read this book.
What a cute and quick read. The little family and their adventures are a good palate cleanser between books. The are is well done as well. It has a lot of different stores and it is just a big collection of those cute comics you see on Facebook, Instagram, or Tictok.
This graphic novel is adorable.
At the beginning we are asked "what is happiness?".. whenever I think about happiness I feel that it is not a permanent state of mind, happiness for me is enjoying the simplest things on this planet, happiness is the sum of those moments.
The illustration is adorable, Milk and Mocha (along with their little pet Matcha) stole my heart. I am in love with the illustration and the dialogues.
One of the things that I enjoy the most is seeing how well captured the daily life of this couple of bears is.
The color palette is an absolute beauty.
This graphic novel is highly recommended
