I loved this, it is so cute and and adorable read. Anyone who loves cute little comics with cute characters will fall in love with it and want to reread it as many times as they can. .
"I would like to express my gratitude to NetGalley for providing me with an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
This book was a delightful and light-hearted read. It felt like flipping through a book filled with amusing memes
Overall, I enjoyed this quick read and I'm excited to explore the other books in the series."
This was an adorable addition to my day, having followed the webcomic for a while. I will say that some of the dialogue felt a little stilted at times.
Milk and Mocha cartoons really makes my day and I'm so glad it comes in book form. They are both heartwarming and hilarious. The perfect coffee table read.
This book was so absolutely adorable!
We follow the daily lives of Milk and Mocha with their adorable pet Matcha.
Such a beautiful book about love and friendship. It shows that no matter our differences sometimes you can complement each other so well.
Perfect as a sweet and comfort read that just makes you happy. Would definitely recommend.
Thank you to Netgally and Andrews McMeel Publishing, for providing me with this ARC in exchange of an honest review.
It is not a new experience for me to try a comic skit collection. Although I have always find them quite difficult to review, I never truly shy away from them as I love art — I appreciate people taking the time and effort to learn and produce works of art that are highly distinguished to who they are. More so, if the said art includes actual storyline. Colour me in love!
Of course, I was not new to these characters. I have always seen these cute bears, but never from these comic skits. I have been made aware of them from the lovely stickers and GIF that I use. Despite that, I have always been fond of them and how cute their relationship was. Imagine when I have found out that they have a comic collection and it was made free through Netgalley! I was pumped!
The book sent us to a world full of love and comfort. It was effective in translating the emotions of the characters that Sie created, I have my reservations in giving my full thoughts on these two bears as this is my first time truly seeing them and immersing myself in them. All I can say, though, is that I was truly in love with them. I caught myself smiling a lot and thinking of the people I care about and how much real these situations are. I saw myself from these two bears — the liveliness of Milk (although I can only say this for people I’m close and comfortable with) and the hidden lovingness of Mocha. I am well aware that they were made as a match, but I really can’t wrap my head around how perfect these two are for each other.
I was so excited to get an advanced copy of Melani Sie's Milk and Mocha Comics Collection, and I was NOT disappointed! Her work is incredibly well done. It is fun. It is lighthearted. Sweet. Adorable. I really did love this compilation. If you haven't checked it out I would highly highly recommend it.
This book was soooo adorably cute.. It is now my go-to serotonin fix truthfully. I actually saw Milk and Mocha first time on Instagram and when I saw that they have an actual book I immediately wanted to read it. I had really high expectation for the cuteness I will receive and belive me it did not disappoint. It was so freakishly adorable. One thing I especially liked about it was how relatable that was to me.. I even sent the page screenshots to my husband. And all the time I was thinking oooo I do this ooo I do that too.
So if you want to have a go-to serotonin fix at handy like me. Go read and buy this book. Definitely recommend it.
Thank you NetGalley for providing an ARC in return of an honest review.
I received an eARC courtesy of Andrews McMeel Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
This is very cute (and the promise of included stickers sounds fantastic)!
For Libraries: Purchase where demand for this vignette style of book is high; otherwise, it might be best suited for private home collections if you are low on funds and space.
This was so cute! I got to know about Milk and Mocha when me and my boyfriend were for some time considering buying keychains with them (we couldn't, because the shipping was US only), because were in the cutesy stage of our relationship. This comic was wonderful, because it was a very light and cute read and I will later reread it with my boyfriend.
Cute book, got to laugh a bit and sent screenshot to my husband of scenes that made me think of him or our pets. Really wholesome comics about relationships a d friendships
Thank you, Netgalley for the e-ARC.
Love this graphic novel it's so cute, funny and relatable. The illustrations and the relationship between the two bears. Wonderful.
And that epilogue was super sweet and funny, my favourite part.
I received this book for free through netgallery. Super sugary sweet. The dynamic Milk and Mocha have really reminds me of my partner and myself. There were a few pages of quotes that I would usually deem “Cheesy” but because they’re was only a handful and they were sprinkled throughout, I ended up appreciating them and finding them really cute. <3
I want to start by saying, as a Francophone, I love this title: Our Little Happiness. "Ours/ourse" means bear in French, and this makes the book way cuter for me.
This little collection follows the day-to-day life of Mocha, a mute bear, Milk, Mocha's very needy in the best way possible partner, and lastly Matcha, their pet dino. It was my very first time seeing these characters, apparently, they have a very popular webcomic based on them.
I'm no stranger to the slice-of-life genre of comic collections, but I was apprehensive about these new-to-me characters. What if I didn't like their sense of humor? But luckily, I warmed up to them pretty quickly. Some pages even reminded me of my favorite sitcom couples. This collection managed to both capture the magic of regular life, and lazy love and to give a medium to the day-to-day, boring side of love that we don't get to see on TV.
Walking in the rain with a yellow umbrella: Ted and Tracy from HIMYM?
Sitting on the bed talking about nothing and everything: Jake and Amy from B99.
Taking care of each other when they need it: Ben and Leslie from Parks and Recs.
In my mind's eye, I could picture all of these characters going through life, in bear form. And I think that's beautiful.
Another beautiful aspect of the book for me is the ambiguity of the bears' genders. Linguistically, this book doesn't involve any gendered pronouns, and this created an opportunity to play with the stereotypical gendered roles in relationships. There isn't any specific role imposed upon the bears. They are just two bears who are enjoying a regular life, boring love.
Structurally, the book doesn't follow a linear time lapse. Their beginning, first meeting is actually the end of the book. This analepsis makes you want to go back to the beginning and start reading all over again. In turn, it creates a loop that gives the book a circular structure. Even after finishing the book, you don't get a sense of finality, like the story could go on and on in the same vein. For a lifetime. I think this is an essential quality for the slice-of-life genre, and this book managed to execute it perfectly.
Overall, the art style is aesthetically pleasing. Pastel colors are both cute and easy on the eyes. And the ink work somehow managed to really seem like fuzzy bears and not just circles with limbs on them.
If there is another collection of their adventures on the way, I would very much want to read it. It became one of my favorite slice-of-life comic collections. Right up there will Dami Lee's As Per Usual.

graphic fiction/comics - short comics with light humor about two bear partners Milk and (hearing/nonspeaking) Mocha, and Milk's pet lizard Matcha. I didn't always get the jokes, but if you are looking for a dose of chibi cuteness/sweetness, this will work.
Very cute drawing and a relatable story. I've seen Milk and Mocha before on Instagram and am excited to read them in a longer book.
A short and easy book to read that improves your mood immediately.
Thank you Net Galley for providing digital ACR :)
Milk & Mocha Comics Collection is the sweetest, most wholesome collection of short comics I have ever read!
This collection of comics follows the sweet, every day moments of 2 bears, Milk and Mocha, who live together with their pet dino, Macha.
The artwork in this collection is incredibly cute and made me feel cozy. The sweet moments shared between the 2 bears and their pet remind me so much of my husband and I, and our 3 cats. I truly want to share this comic collection with everyone I know because it is just adorable! The very first comic made me smile, and I kept smiling all the way through. In the future, I hope to reread, and hopefully get to read more of these comics from this author/artist, because it really just cheered me up.
Thank you to netgalley for providing an ARC copy of this AMAZINGLY CUTE BOOK!

A cute collection of short comics (each one spans about 1-2 pages). Overall the comic collection doesn't have any overarching plot or themes, but instead are short scenes of happiness and love. The comics remind me of the short comics you see on Instagram, that just bring you joy. I was smiling the whole time, but the comics aren't something that I am going to be thinking about constantly. It is a great read if you want a palate cleanser, cute art, or just brief happiness. Rating: 3.5 stars
This is a very cute and fun comic collection! Milk and Mocha are adorable and readers will love following their little adventures. Perfect for all comic collections!
The cutest little comic collection!! Heartwarming and simply adorable. I loved the opposites attract main characters and their adorable pet that reminded me so much of my pupper. Super relatable and an enjoyable read overall!
