Wildflower Falls is the story of Charlotte, a horse ranch owner and Gunner, the man she hires to be the horse trainer.
Charlotte, as well as her step-sister, have recently inherited the ranch after the sudden passing of her mother. Afterwards she finds some documents that her mother had left behind, revealing proof of who her biological father is - the father she never met. While she is trying to figure out her father's identity, she also hires Gunner to help get her failing horse ranch back on track. Gunner lost his parents as a child in a tragic way and thus refuses to make long term commitments or attachments to people or places.
Wildflower Falls explores how Charlotte finds her biological father as well as comes to have a relationship with her brothers, all while she and Gunner get closer and closer.
Read this book if you life:
-found family
-horses / ranch life
-close knit family
I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
I thought the last book in the Wildflower was the last of the series since every sibling in the Robinson family had their happily ever after story but apparently there is a long lost sibling, a girl. Charlotte grew up not knowing who her biological father. It was not until her mother died that she found a clue in her mother's belongings. This lead her to the possiblity that she is related to the Robinsons. It was interesting to follow her journey to who her biological father is. She did not let the Robinson clan in on who she really was and some were irritated when they found out who she kept that information from her. Loved the developing relationship with her hired hand Gunner but Gunner had commitment issues that steemed from childhood trauma.
I highly recommend this book to fans of Denise Hunter. You will not be disappointed. I received a complimentary edition of this book. All opinions are my completely my own..
Hunter adds a fourth book to the Riverbend series by introducing a new sibling to the Robinson family. Her story is solidly plotted and enjoyable.
This book takes you back to Riverbend Gap. It is a standalone but does mention characters in the other books. very good book.
Charlotte is determined to revitalize her deceased mother's cattle ranch. She finds information in her mother's effects that challenge all she thought she knew about her background. She finds out that the local contractor and the local sheriff are her half brothers and that her biological father still lives nearby. She is determined to find out more and introduct herself.
Meanwhile, she hires a successful horse trainer, Gunner Dawson, to come and get her horse training program off the ground. He soon finds himself involved in Charlotte's quest.
This is a fun story with interesting characters and situations. It is part of a series that has been very interesting.
I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my own honest opinion.
Denise Hunter is one of my favorite authors so I was excited to see another book released in her latest series. However, it did take me awhile to really get into Wildflower Falls, more so than the other books in this series.
After her mom’s death, Charlotte finds out about her biological dad. Her new employee, Gunner, helps her track down her dad. When she finds him it brings a lot of complications to her life with her sister and new siblings.
Between working on the ranch and finding Charlotte’s dad, Gunner and Charlie strike up a special friendship. But their friendship causes Gunner to face tragedies in his past and overcome his habit of pushing people away who get too close to him.
Wildflower Falls is a sweet romance worth reading.
Wildflower Falls is another excellent book in the Riverbend series by Denise Hunter. This book will pull you in from the first page and you'll once again be visiting the Robinson family. With her mother's recent death, Charlotte discovers she may have a family she didn't know about. As always, Ms. Hunter has packed this book with family drama, secrets, and new beginnings. I loved the small-town feel of family and friends helping each other. Thanks to the author Denise Hunter, publisher Thomas Nelson, and NetGalley. I received a complimentary copy of this ebook. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
Wildflower Falls by Denise Hunter Heartwarming story of Charlotte and Gunner in a continuation the Riverbend Series. The characters were realistic and reliable. A pleasant and uplifting read.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for the opportunity to preview the book.
I think this is the last one of the series. They're all standalone romances, but you'll get more out of the stories since the characters appear several times throughout the series.
It was great catching up with the other characters and families and see what they were all up to.
Charlotte an Gunner are perfect for each other: she has a horse ranch and he's the horse trainer. She hires him to get the training program going, and he's only supposed to stay for 6 months, but when Charlotte confides in him, their friendship starts growing.
Both Charlotte and Gunner have a lot going on, and despite knowing his stay is temporary, they start falling for each other. He's there for her and she's there for him as well.
The theme of family, friendship, and loyalty is big, just like in the other stories. A lovely read!
I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
Here I thought Denise Hunter’s Riverbend Romance series was all wrapped up after the 3 books featuring each of the siblings, only to find out there’s fourth book about a fourth sibling!! There’s a different kind of tension in this book, since the fourth sibling isn’t known to the others. How does she get to know them, and when does she tell them how she’s related to them? Hunter handles the tension well, although it does cause the book to be a bit more “angsty” than the others. I’m glad there’s more to read about Riverbend Gap, plus updates on the characters from the first 3 books. And if you’re a horse lover, there’s lots of horses in this one!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. #WildflowerFalls #NetGalley
I was thrilled when Denise Hunter returned to Riverbend. The continuation of the series was flawless. Charlotte and Gunner were endearing and realistic. I read this in one tear filled day because I couldn't put it down. You will still enjoy the book if you're new to Riverbend, but you should try the whole series.
I received this copy of Wildflower Falls from NetGalley. Wildflower Falls is the 4th book in the Riverbend Romance series. Charlotte just inherited the ranch she grew up on. Her mom has passed and Charlotte is try to make the ranch into a horse training and boarding ranch Alain with her sister Emerson. Charlotte has recently discovered that her biological father is Gavin and Cooper Robinson’s father. They do not know about Charlotte. For the ranch to expand she has hired Gavin to build a new stable. While she is snooping out Gavin working on the new stable, Gunner rides up on his motorcycle for a job interview. Gunner has everything he owns on the motorcycle. He drifts from one job to the next. He will only be in Riverbend until October. Charlotte hires him as the ranches new trainer. The ranch starts to expand, and the sparks fly between Charlotte and Gunner. How will Charlotte tell her brothers about her? Will she meet her biological father? Will Gunner stay? Read this book to find out. I loved this one from start to epilogue. It was another great read by Denise Hunter.
An absorbing read with fascinating, relatable characters, “Wildflower Falls”, by Denise Hunter (Thomas Nelson - FICTION), is a story about loss and love, compassion, forgiveness and redefining the concept of family.
The book is centered on Charlotte’s odyssey, a quest depicted thoroughly in all its dimensions showcasing Denise Hunter’s talent.
The heroine’s journey, one full of uncertainty and doubts, is so riveting to watch. She’s brave and, at the same time, has doubts and fears and shows vulnerability. She’s really a great character.
Gunner is a wonderful hero, compassionate, kind and empathetic, despite the tragedy in his past. The loneliness, the nomadic lifestyle (“nothing to tie him anywhere”) and the grief are a part of his personality as much as the innate kindness and honesty.
The tragedy in his life makes him think intimacy leads to loss, so he fights his emotions, but he fails miserably where Charlotte is concerned, and it’s fun to watch him.
The protectiveness towards Charlotte is endearing, he can’t help it. His gentle way and patience with horses is fascinating, too.
Watching the loving Robinson family welcome Charlotte and Gunner, and the integration of Craig’s character, was wonderful.
I loved meeting again Cooper, Gavin and Avery, and their spouses; and also energetic Lisa and compassionate and wise Jeff. In general, is was wonderful to revisit Riverbend
This story was a lot about Charlotte and her quest, so the romance is a bit less developed than I would have liked. But I hope to meet these wonderful characters and fictional universe sometime soon.
Fast moving book about Charlotte and her stepsister Emmie who have inherited the families horse farm after the death of her mom. Charlotte wants to make sure the horse farm stays in the family as it had been there for generations. She hires Gunner Dawson to help her with the horses as he is an amazing horse trainer. Do they fall for each other? Come on, this is a romance with some great characters who end up being family members.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. When I was given this copy, I didn’t realize it was a part of a series as it is a great stand-alone book. I will be going back to read the rest of the books.
Emmie enjoys the bakery, and things change when she and a stepsister
inherits a ranch. Charolette hires Gunner for six months to help with the horses.
Secrets and love will they be excepted when revealed.
Captivating story of changes, with good characters
Given ARC by Net Galley and Thomas Nelson for my voluntary review
This is book four of the Riverbend Romance series. Recommend reading the first three books of this intriguing, captivating series.
Upon the death of her mother, Charlotte Simpson, along with her stepsister, Emerson, inherit Wildflower Falls, the ranch that has been in the Simpson family for three generations. Emmie is more interested in her job at the local bakery than working on the ranch. Charlotte’s plans are to increase business by expanding services and building a big, new barn. Having never had a ranch employee before, Charlette need help to keep the ranch going and to help with potential new business. She hires Gunner Dawson, horse trainer, who comes with high praises. He arrives on a motorcycle withal his possessions in one duffle bag and agrees to stay six months.
Charlotte grew up only with her mother, never knowing who her biological father is. Although she questioned her mother multiple times, she would never give her any information. After the death of her mother, she finds some newspaper articles, a photo and a few other items that lead to a conclusion just who her father could be. She investigates further though she risks jeopardizing friendships and even creating dissention amount a beloved family.
This heartfelt story is another example of how Denise writes stories that somehow turns ashes into gold and grab your heart from the beginning. There are unexpected situations, and some surprises as I continued reading this beautifully written story straight through until the end.

In Wildflower Falls, Denise Hunter tugs readers by the heartstrings right away. We all want to know where we come from and where we belong. Charlotte is no different. Since discovering she has siblings she never knew about after her mother passed away, she yearns for connection. Like many of us, Charlotte fears rejection and hesitates to make herself known. As she faces this internal battle, she also faces the genuine struggle of turning her stables into a profitable venture with the help of horse trainer Gunner, who is admittedly just passing through. Watching the chemistry spark from the pages as Charlotte fights to maintain their employer-employee boundary while also uncovering the truth of Charlotte’s background and making a success of the ranch kept me glued to the page until the end. You don’t want to miss this one!
This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher and the author. This is a well-known and popular author who has written another story that is captivating. The characters are realistic. The novel moves quickly. Enjoy
