The way Denise Hunter weaves a story draws me in, which made Wildflower Falls a delightful read. The hero and heroine, Charlotte & Gunner, are such wounded, yet lovable, characters. They both have unmistakable strengths and traumatic weaknesses. Their deep backgrounds not only build a great story, but create a powerful ending. This masterpiece is a must-read page-turning romance. Grab your copy today!
I was so excited to see a new book in this series, all so good you never wanted them to end, and then there is this one! Now this can be read alone, but you will want to read how the other siblings got together!
This is Charlotte Simpson's story, reeling from the loss of her Mom, and finding some surprising information, something she had asked about but never received any answers.
Charlotte is trying to keep the generational Horse Ranch afloat, she found her Mom had taken a second loan, and has hired a new trainer, Gunner Dawson, he has told her he can only stay a few months, but she has gotten raving reviews about him.
There is an instant attraction between these two, but she has been hurt and he has past losses that make him flee from caring!
I loved being reunited with this family, and the updates, but this is a twist on siblings and it was such a great read! You will be page turning for answers!
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Thomas Nelson, and was not required to give a positive review.
Wildflower Falls by Denise Hunter. I really liked the story of Gunner and Charlotte. The story has mystery, kindness, love, and compassion . I love stories about horses. I liked Charlotte search for her father.
Denise Hunter never disappoints! 'Wildflower Falls' is a heartwarming story of love and overcoming loss. The depth of the characters is profound as they reveal their struggles that seem overwhelming and find loving solutions in each other. I'm looking forward to more, especially with Charlotte's sister.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
This 4th book in the Riverbend series by Denise Hunter follows Charlotte, who's trying to save the ranch passed down from her deceased mother and Gunner, the horse trainer she hires. In addition to trying to save the ranch, Charlotte is also trying to find out who her biological father is, the ramifications of her mother's relationship with the man--and what her making her family tree known might do to those she knows and cares about. Gunner is a man who's suffered loss and is used to moving on. Overall, a solid, enjoyable read. Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of the book. All opinions are my own.
Another wonderful, small town story that will warm your heart. Charlotte is trying to save the family horse ranch and hires Gunner as a trainer to help. Both have some painful memories to deal with but together, hopefully they will find a lasting love.
Family secrets, heartbreak, sweet romance, some surprises and small town coziness, along with love for horses kept my interest from the very beginning. Wonderful, believable characters and well described scenery. I found at times, it was hard to put it down and had to keep reading to see how this would turn out.
I was fortunate to be able to read an early copy of this book!
If you’re ever wanting to reach for a contemporary romance, Denise Hunter never disappoints. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every book in this series. I love how she’s not afraid to delve into tough and emotional and awkward moments. In this story, the main character, Charlotte, has a lot going on and I felt like everything was delt with in a true and realistic way, especially her relationship with her sister and how that played out—very well done. The story never got stagnant and never lagged in the middle. I loved the ranch and the horses and how Gunner came into the story—he was a wonderful leading man. His story pulled at my heartstrings. All of it came together wonderfully.
It would be important to read the prior three books in the series before reading this one. All of them are worth it!

Charlotte Simpson is in desperate need of an experienced horse trainer as she seeks to expand the operations of her family’s ranch. When handsome, brooding nomad Gunner Dawson answers the call, Charlotte can’t believe he would work for what her ranch can afford to pay. At the same time, Charlotte learns that her newly-discovered biological father may be living nearby. Will Charlotte fall for the wandering ranch hand and solve the mystery of her bio dad? Find out in this expertly-crafted work of romantic fiction.
After reading and falling in love with the characters of the first three Riverbend Gap series, I was thrilled when Denise Hunter wrote and continued the series with this fourth book. Each book in the series is a stand alone, but they each touch on the other stories/relationships along the way — I highly recommend reading them in order. In this book, the author introduces us to a new sibling of the beloved Robinson family. It’s a sweet story, of forgiveness, restoration, second chances, and of course romance. While I love Denise Hunter and will read anything she writes and absolutely love this series, this one could’ve used more character development; it felt a bit rushed and wrapped up too quickly. Overall I enjoyed it and look forward to reading Hunter’s next book.
Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for this advance copy read. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Wildflower Falls is the fourth book in the Riverbend Romances series. This particular book follows Charlotte and Gunner. Charlotte is connected to the Robinson family when she discovers that she is their sister--born when their dad had an affair with Charlotte's mom. The whole book for the most part is the journey to Charlotte revealing the news to the Robinson family. Gunner is a horse trainer who is working with Charlotte's ranch for the summer. He rolls in on a motorcycle with only a backpack to his name--due to childhood trauma he is not going to be tied down to anything!
Charlotte and Gunner have to learn about moving on after loss. How to deal with changes of plans. And above all that family can show up when you least expect it.
While this was a very good conclusion to the series, it definitely doesn't *feel* like Christian fiction. God isn't mentioned hardly at all. It feels more just like a clean romance. For that reason, I didn't like it as much as the other books in the series.
And if you are wondering--you will need to read the whole series. None of these are standalones.
My thoughts: WIldflower Falls is the 4th book in this series, but it easily stan ds alone. I enjoyed getting to know Charlotte and Gunner and their struggles and history. The black moment was fairly obvious, I saw it coming a mile away, but it had a satisfactory ending. There isn't much of a faith message in this, (if there was one, I missed it) but it was definitely a clean read. Fans of Denise Hunter will devour this book and be anxious for more in this quaint little town on the Appalachian Trail. I love Denise Hunter's books, she is one of my favorite authors so if you like romance you will want to read this book and this series. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my owns.
Denise Hunter's books are like coming home to family after a long day. Heartwarming, sweet, interesting.
The characters remind me of old friends. This story was interesting. I loved the pace of the book.
I will always read a Denise Hunter book.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
I thoroughly enjoyed this!! Can I just say how much I loved how they met? It was hilarious!!The sister relationship melted my heart and found family is one of my favorite tropes! I liked all the characters and the lessons they learned and how they grew.
There was a scene at the end with Gavin that I was hoping would happen and it did and it made my day!!
I received an eARC from Netgalley, all opinions are my own
A beautiful, heartwarming story about healing, restoration, and family. Denise Hunter expertly weaves the story together to not only make you feel every emotion the characters experience, but also to make you feel as if you are a part of the story by losing yourself within the pages. I found myself laughing, crying, and even angry at different parts throughout the story. It is filled with lovable, enduring characters that make you want to know more about them.
While this book could be read as a stand alone, it is book four of the series. I highly recommend reading all the books. I absolutely love the Robinson family and this has quickly become one of my favorite series!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are completely my own.
ok so i loved it because it was part of the Riverbend Gap series by one of my favorite authors, Denise Hunter but if those things were not the case it would be a 3 stars.
i liked the couple together ok but i didn’t feel the chemistry as much as the book told me they had chemistry if you get what i’m saying? lol i wasn’t getting what the book was putting down. they were fine together but i just wasn’t obsessed with them. there was a annoying 3rd act thing but the reasoning behind it was better than most so i was ok with it. overall it was a good book that i enjoyed reading and it was a good conclusion to the series but i’d only recommend if you have read the rest of the series and want more of the characters.
thank you to netgalley and the publisher for an early digital edition in exchange for my honest review!
This was book #4 in a series of standalones but this was only my second trip to Riverbend Gap. I definitely need to read #1 & #2 now to fill in the stories of the other characters.
I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a lovely, romantic story with a backdrop of a beautiful horse farm.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Wildflower Falls (Riverbend Book #4) by Denise Hunter is another great addition to this series!! Highly addictive and recommended. I loved reading this book. Author Denise Hunter knows how to tell a story that keeps your interest throughout the whole book.
Charolette is trying to keep her family ranch and trying to start a new business at the same time and also figure out who her real father is while getting to know her brothers without seeming like a stalker. Gunner is there to help her get started in her new business of training horses, doing trail rides, and teaching ridding lessons as a stepping stone to a bigger job with race horses in Kentucky. Their feelings slowly change towards each other but they have a difficult time that they must navigate to their HEA.
Another great book by Denise Hunter! I know each book will suck me into the story.. The book makes you think about what you would do in the same situation and helps to remind that things do work out even if not the way we expected.
Wildflower Falls is all about Charlotte and Gunner's story plus we still see quite a bit of the Robinson gang that we've come to know and love in the previous books in this series. It's all about family...which isn't always easy but family is such a blessing. Charlotte meets Gunner when he comes to work on her horse farm set in idyllic Riverbend Gap, North Carolina. They have both had issues with their pasts that they need to work through. It's definitely a journey but a good one at that!
I heartily recommend Wildflower Falls. It is a clean, Christian romance that will pull you right in and you won't want to leave! You really can't go wrong with a book by Denise Hunter. I've absolutely loved this whole Riverbend series.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

Wildflower Falls was a refreshing read. I loved the setting, the characters had great personalities, and the ending was excellent. Definitely a book I recommend.
