I liked Rosé With My Fake Fiancé a lot! It was a really nice, fun, heartfelt, and romantic read.
The story is pretty short and fast, but it was so very well written that I was able to feel the instant chemistry between Tessa and Luc (I really liked both the fake and real dating part) and I absolutely loved wandering through Paris with them!
If you're looking for a book that will make you feel good and hopeful, look no further. You've just found it!

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is the second novella from Liz that I read, and again, I loved it so much! It was a quick read, with lots of fun characters. I adored Tessa and Luc, the whole dating/fake fiancé scheme and I loved Tessa’s friendgroup. I can’t wait to read about the other 3 friends. We got to see some of their lives already, and I can’t wait to see what else Liz has planned for them.

This is a super short and fun read. Luc and Tessa are cute and I want an extra chapter with a real proposal.

This was such a fun and quick read, I can’t wait to continue the series when Riesling with My Roommate comes out. I finished the novella wanting more from all the characters!

Thank you, Netgalley and Victory Editing , for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A quick, compelling, spicy and romantic reading set up in the city of Love, but also with other stunning places in the Europe, like Portugal as well. I enjoyed the narrative.

Honestly, I was a tiny bit sceptical going into this book since I’m not normally a novella reader. I knew from reading the blurb that I needed to read Tessa and Luc’s story so much so that I didn’t realise it was a novella until after it was downloaded. All my initial concerns about the length of this book were unnecessary, as I adored it!

Tessa finds herself alone for a day in the City of Love. Planning to have the day to herself people watching she has the small task of cancelling her original plans of touring the sights of Paris before she can gorge on as many crepes as she desires. Luc, Tessa’s charming tour guide, refuses to allow her to cancel the tour and instead plans the perfect day for her. Throughout the day, their initial sparks builds and when the pair bump into Tessa’s Ex (who has just proposed to his new girlfriend in front of the Eiffel town) Luc refuses to allow him to humiliate Tessa and reveals the news of his and Tessa’s engagement. Will the pair overcome their age gap, long distance, and Tessa’s cheating ex for their HEA?

This is a sweet, well-paced read, with swoon worthy romance, spice and the ultimate friendship group (they really did steal the show).

Liz Alden has changed my perspective on novellas, and I can’t wait to continue the series with Sara’s story.

Read if you enjoy:
• Fake Dating
• Age Gap
• He Falls First
• Dual POV

Many thanks to Liz Alden and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh how I loved this age gap/fake dating romance so much! This was such a quick and fun read for me, and the characters were so lovely, I could not help but root for them. I loved the setting of this book so much, I wanted to be roaming the streets of Italy with a sexy man, and my bestfriends! I loved that this story had so much depth with the pasts of our two characters- and the still choose each other. Definitely cannot wait to continue this series.

A fun novella with a Paris setting! This was a sweet, and quick read, set in one of my favorite cities. I loved the exploration of Paris, the fake fiancé trope, and Tessa’s group of besties! Even the age gap (which normally isn’t my vibe) was done well. This would be a book I’d recommend if someone was looking for a fresh palette cleanser of the romance variety. Being a novella, I feel like we didn’t get as much depth of the characters growing together. It would have been nice to be more immersed into their romance and connection.

this book was SO much fun! it was a quick read that transports you right to Paris. I also really wanted to insert myself into this friend group! Their texts and heartwarming messages were so fun to read and added a great element to the story. I also really adored the relationship that bloomed between Luc and Tessa. It started fun and flirty but the more they learned of each other, the deeper their connection grew. Tessa must have the worst luck in the world for her ex-boyfriend to show up in Paris at the same hotel LOL but I'm so glad she had Luc and more importantly her friends to get past that. I really loved this fun novella + fingers crossed we get stories for the whole friend group!!

A story of rediscovering and reinventing oneself after having given up on love. Healing through love by allowing someone to love you and finding the strength to be vulnerable once more.

The lush and romantic settings, witty banter, sizzling chemistry, the type of friendships that are more like family, and characters that will stick with you long after. Liz Alden has penned magic. I have one and only one complaint — that I finished so quickly!

I really enjoyed this fun, low-angst story. Tessa is exactly the sort of woman I would want to be friends with, and I loved her circle of friends, too. Luc is a sweetheart, and I was pulling for him the whole way. I also enjoyed the European setting that went beyond the usual tourist destinations. I could hardly put this story down and finished it in one day. I am looking forward to more stories about these characters.

General Thoughts:

While not one of my typical favorite tropes, this age gap, fake dating novella was an adorable read, filled with fun moments, strong friendships and some excellent spice. The trope worked in favor here, and made sense for our main characters.

I love the dynamic between our older FMC, Tessa, and our younger MMC, Luc. You could feel the immediate chemistry, and it showed throughout their dialogue. I adore the friend dynamic, and was thoroughly excited to find out that the follow up books will focus on the friendships! I cannot WAIT to read Riesling with My Roommate to follow Sara and Chris. The trifecta was hit with involving the very sweet family dynamic of Luc and his grandmother.

Overall a great read, and I am very excited for follow up books.

This is the 1st book of Aged Like Fine Wine Novella, it can be read as stand alone. My first in this Mature women Younger man Novella and this book is good. Tessa a serial monogamist, alone in Paris because of mess up in her friends flight schedule. This is suppose to be vacation together with her bestfriends. Tessa plan to cancel the tour guide but Luc the guide convince her and they spend time together. The tour is give Tessa experience enjoy Paris through local eye.

Victor Hugo Museum, learn about the life of the famous writer, including the many talented people of Hugo’s time. Last stop Shakespeare and Company, Tessa enjoy buying some books for her and her friends. I enjoy Paris through Tessa vacation.

Tessa and her friends are spending a weekend in Paris together as they all move to to Europe. But when her three friends' plans change, leaving her with a day to herself and a nonrefundable guided tour, led by a gorgeous Parisian man. And at the end of the tour, she runs into the guy who dumped her five months ago...with his new fiancee. But she and the tour guide, Luc, have formed an easy friendship, and the impulsive decision to pretend that Tessa and Luc are engaged leads to a weekend that neither of them will forget.

Normally, the speed at which this novella moves would have knocked off a star for me--Luc takes Tessa's hand during the tour, which seems very forward, and they both Tessa and her friends are spending a weekend in Paris together as they all move to to Europe. Luc takes Tessa's hand during the tour, which seems very forward, and they both develop very strong feelings over the course of the weekend, and it felt a little too close to insta-love for my personal tastes, but I found that I actually didn't really mind it too much, and was drawn in to their relationship.
I also really really loved the dynamic between Tessa's friend group--and the dynamic between the friend group and Luc.

A couple sequels were teased toward the end, and I can't wait to read them when they're out!develop very strong feelings over the course of the weekend, and it felt very close to insta-love. But it worked, and I found myself drawn in to their relationship.

An adorable short novella set in Paris, filled with cute moments, fun friends, and a burning attraction between an older woman and a younger man.
At 42 years old, Tessa had given up on finding love and settling down when her ex dumped her 5 months ago. However, when she ends up alone on her monthly girls' trip, she finds herself enamored by the young tour guide that was supposed to take her and her friends around Paris. Just when the two decide to spend the day together regardless of plans being canceled, her ex shows up with his new fiance on his arm. With revenge in mind, the tour guide, Luc, pretends to be her fiance. The two spend the next 2 days together and explore the city and their attraction to each other. At the end of their time together, Luc makes it clear he wants more than just those 2 days. While Tessa wants more as well, she is hesitant to start anything after all her previous attempts to find love.
This is my first Liz Alden story and I can't wait to read more! Fingers crossed we get to read about this friend group more!

Now don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed Luc play the fake fiancé. And he said and did some surprising stuff in bed (I loved it ofc 🫣) BUT the girls stole the spotlight here! The way Jade and Sara and Emma had Tessa's back had me wanting to be part of their group. I love their friendship ♡ (+ shout-out to Mémé for being so chill)

Also, did I mention reverse age gap? Man's eleven years younger and I can strangely relate to forty-two year old Tessa too many times! I found this trope to be refreshing :) Excited for Chris & Sara!

𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁: Perfect for when you need a quick getaway from yk LIFE, best served with a cold glass of rosé 🪄 (and if you zoom in, there's a third glass of pink wine on the table and it's mine 😂 just waiting for MY fake fiancé to show up 🤞)

Thank you to NetGalley and Liz Alden for an advanced electronic copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

I've read a bunch of Liz Alden's books now, and they're pretty much guaranteed to be a good time with a happy ending.

Tessa is 42, newly single, and moving to Portugal for a year to shake things up. Her friends are also moving to different European countries, and they have plans to meet up once a month. For their first meeting, everyone else's flights are delayed, and Tessa is left alone in Paris with their cute tour guide, Luc. When they run into Tessa's ex with his new fiancé, Tessa and Luc pretend to be engaged too. Except... how much of these feelings are pretending?

Tessa and Luc are fun. Yes it's a bit of a predictable romance but it works and it feels good! And with novella length, this is the perfect book to cleanse any dark stuff you're reading from your brain. There's no reason not to!

CW: sexual content
