This book is part of an over arching series that I was not aware of prior to reading this book but had no issues with it being a stand alone. I did not feel lost in the premise nor felt I should have known characters better from previous books. This book does have a very proper feel/style and the time line is very fast! I do like when a man woos the female love interest a little more so I would have loved a little more of that we did see that a little bit with the dress shop. I also feel like the end was a little rushed. But it was enjoyable book. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

I have read a few other C.H. Admirand novels and I find I always want to like them more than I actually do. I will say I liked the first 3/4 of this book but then the part with her sister happened. This story has characters from her other books - it doesn't matter if you've read those though, it would just give you a little more insight into their histories and connection to one another. And Colin and Gemma's story is a previous Lyon's Den novel - again, you don't have to have read that to enjoy this one, it would just fill in some blanks for you when they talk about how they ended up with one another. I liked Addy as a character and was so happy that she ended up with someone who was ready to be her partner and give her the love that was missing in her life. Edmund is a fine character as well. I still don't understand how Adam would have inherited the title though, I thought only legitimate heirs did so at this time in history. As always Mrs. Dove-Lyon knew exactly what she was doing in matching these two and her record remains in tact! The only part of the book I really didn't like was the late chapter involving Addy's sister (I don't want to give anything away here). It all happens so quickly and I'm not sure what the point of it all was. And the "villain" is very one-dimensional and more of an afterthought than major player in the story. Honestly, that entire subplot could have been taken out and would not have made a difference.

A year after theur brother Adam, Viscount Moreland’s untimely death, Colin and Edmund Broadbank is still searching for clues to unravel the identity of the mysterious woman who arrived at Templeton House the day after their brother died. Adelaide Fernside assumes the role of mother to her younger sister Lily when their parents die in a tragic accident. Lily craves being the centre of attention and succumbs to the lure of the stage, only to return home when she becomes pregnant. Unable to resist the glitter of her former life, Lily leaves her baby, Adam behind. Addy had not planned on assuming the care of her infant nephew but becomes mother to her sister’s child. In a bold move, she dons the guise of a widow and travels to London with Adam, to seek the aid of Mrs. Dove-Lyon in finding a husband. Her nephew deserves to have a father, even if Addy never planned to marry. Elated to receive word the woman rumoured to have had a liaison with his brother Adam has been seen entering the Lyon’s Den, Edmund Broadbank pays a visit to Mrs. Dove-Lyon.
A well written book & I’m glad that Edmund has his HEA as I liked him in Colin’s story. The characters had depth & were well portrayed & the story flowed well. I really liked Addy too & loved the chemistry between Edmund & Addy & loved their journey to a HEA. Baby Adam was a joy & it was great to catch up with Colin & Gemma. I hate to put a spanner in the works but Adam was illegitimate so did not become the heir, only legitimate offspring were eligible
My review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Captivated by the Lyon is another book in the Lyon's Den World. I really liked that with Edmund and Addy, we get both sides of their deal with Mrs. Dove-Lyon as well as quite a bit of interaction with her helpers. The story is an entertaining, clean romance with a bit of suspense, an adorable baby and a well-deserved HEA for the couple.

Another Great Lyon’s Den Read

I’ve enjoyed all of the stories within the Lyon’s Den series and I have to say this one was a lovely read.

I enjoyed the story from start to finish. Edmund what a hero, his character and kind soul shone through the whole storyline. Addy had given up a lot to look after her Nephew and deserved the love Edmund wanted to shower on her.

A wonderful story with lots going on, well worth a read!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own

💋💋

Very much enjoyed this book, and loved the thrilling story and charismatic characters.

This is the story of a sister who gives up her own life and choices to bring up the son of her sibling.
The child is the illegitimate son of a Viscount, who died before it was born. His brothers now search for the Heir.

Both families are willing to give everything to bring the lad up and give him the life he deserves, if that means the families joining in marriage, so be it.
It’s so sweet and heartwarming to read this book, and it has a lovely ending.
Great writing.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

They made an arrangement for the sake of a boy but found love and family at the end. Both characters are likeable, caring and willing to do whatever it takes for family. They certainly deserve the HEA at the end.

I received an ARC from Netgalley and leaving my review voluntarily.

When I saw the cover, and then the title, it was a no-brainer for me. Instant gratification for my regency romance addiction. I devoured this story, enjoying every second of the experience, sighing with satisfaction as I turned the final page. I love about this story that it had so many sigh, swoon, and laugh-out-loud moments. It touched me on so many levels and left me a puddle of goo on the floor.

Fast-paced and exciting with an element of intrigue and danger, Bessie Dove-Lyon once again comes to the rescue in her own unique way. When her sister walks out on her baby son, Adelaide has to pick up the pieces and take care of the infant as she realizes that she won't be receiving any help from the baby's father. However, when it becomes evident that there are people looking for the babe, Adelaide reaches out to Mrs. Dove-Lyon. Edmund Broadbank has two goals, one is to find his missing nephew, and the other is to find a bride. After his brother's successful marriage arranged by the Black Widow, he approaches her, not realizing that both his quests have one answer. Adelaide's sister has made some serious errors, and in doing so, she brings danger both to her young son and her sister, and ultimately she pays the supreme price to keep them safe. The novel comes to a good, albeit noisy conclusion as Adelaide and Edmund find their own way, together with their family. I received a copy of this enjoyable romance as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Another entry for the Lyon's Den! Normally one does not have to have read other entries in the Lyon's Den series (and there are many!) to fully understand and enjoy another. Here, I do think it would have added to my enjoyment and understanding of this story to have read the story of the MMC's older brother, who was apparently previously matched by Mrs. Bessie Dove-Lyon. The MMC here is younger son of a viscount, Edmund Broadbank, who has been searching for a woman who came to his father shortly after Edmund's older brother's death, claiming to have a baby fathered by the dead man. His search leads him to the Lyon's Den, where he ends up betrothed to the woman (FMC Adelaide Fernside) he thought was the baby's mother but was in reality, the baby's aunt. Interwoven is some intrigue around potential blackmail related to the baby's existence and bringing in protection for all involved.

I liked but didn't love this book. I was confused throughout as to how baby Adam would be the heir to the viscountcy given that his parents were not married. I also thought the intrigue plot was a little forced, and I really didn't like how it was ultimately resolved. Edmund decides he loves Addy on the basis of pretty much 5 minutes in her presence, and though I am tolerant of insta-love, that was just too quick. especially in light of all the complications surrounding them. I will of course return to the Lyon's Den, though.

2.5 stars rounded to 3. Thank you to NetGalley and Dragonsblade for a complimentary ARC of this book. The opinions herein are my own.
