When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.

Time Travel Romantic Adventure

When Jack rescued Gaby from certain death, he had no idea she would change his life. The two would take us on a journey of romance, adventure, treachery, and intrigue. Gaby must find her place, over a century in the past and convince Jack that she came from the future. He must marry an heiress, but would he give up his ambition to get back his earldom for the sake of love? Then, there is that mysterious painting that Gaby must find. Not only was it supposed to unite two people from the distant past but also help stop evil in its tracks. It might also help return her back to her time, but did she want to go back and leave the man she loved behind?

I enjoyed this time travel romantic adventure and would recommend it. This is the third book in this series. Although you can read it on its own, it is more enjoyable to read the first two books that tell the story of Gabriella's two friends and how this time travel adventure began.

This is the third book of the Lost in Time series, but my first by this author. I enjoyed it and had no trouble reading it as a standalone. If you enjoy time travel romances, then this is definitely the book for you. Time travel romances are usually not my first preference, but I am glad I gave this one a try. I got swept into the story from the start and remained engaged till the end. The storyline moved at a steady pace, with elements of mystery, intrigue, and suspense woven into the plot. The author did a nice job of providing vivid details and setting up the scenes, bringing the story and the characters to life. Gabriella is a talented chef from modern day Chicago who travels back in time to 19th century Italy and ends up in a dangerous situation, when Jack comes to her rescue. But no matter how attracted she is to him, she needs to focus on the task at hand and getting back to modern day Chicago. Jack was an earl back in London and was forced to flee when he was disowned and disgraced. He is also extremely attracted to Gabriella, but must focus on marrying an heiress in order to reclaim his life.
This was a well-written and entertaining story with interesting and intriguing characters. Jack and Gabriella were a compelling couple and I enjoyed following their journey. A satisfying story that I am glad to have had the opportunity to read!

This is the third book in the Lost in Time series and finishes the story of the three friends caught in the time travel intrigue of Iris Bellarose, and her artist lover Marco Allegretto. Emily and Jenee's stories were told in the first two, and this is Gabi's story. She is feeling abandoned by her friends at the gallery and seated before Allegretto's exhibit, waiting for them, when she is pulled through the portal by Allegretto herself. She lands in Tuscany at the edge of a cliff, about to be run down by a man galloping on his horse. She ends up tumbling over, and being injured, leading to a dramatic rescue by the stranger.

John Henry Langsford - Jack; has his own problems without having the strange, injured woman tossed his way. He is a dark, brooding, angry man who was betrayed by his family and had his legacy and inheritance stolen from him, losing his English titles, his place in society, and his estates/inheritances. He has taken refuge in Italy, at his aunt's estate to regroup and gain back his inheritance. To do so necessitates money and he plans to do so by wedding an heiress. His aunt aids in his plans by inviting the heiress and her guardian to be part of a house party at her estate, for Jack to court her and propose.

Gabi is thrown for a loop to find herself in her family's native country... but in the early 1900s.
She avoids telling her hosts anything by pretending amnesia and makes herself useful by using her chef skills to manage the kitchens. She throws a wrench in Jack's plans as she attracts, and intrigues him, but she also has secrets that raises his suspicions. Gabi knows that Jack must marry an heiress to gain back his legacy, and refuses to have her heart broken, especially having suffered disappointment in love before.

But this is not just the story of Gabi and Jack, but also the continued story of Iris and Marco, which all comes to a head at the Italian estate. Emily, Jenee, and their husbands are also guests at the estate, as well as Iris, and when they are reunited with Gabi, update her on the Allegreto paintings and how they are portals that need to be closed, to reunite Iris and Marco, and destroy their remaining nemesis, the Countess. It turns out that Jack and his woes, and his plans are all orchestrated by the Countess as a way to get her hands on the last painting, and they all must work together to foil her plans, and that includes Jack.

Jack is another dark, brooding MMC, who has a bit of selfish tunnel vision in the pursuit of his fortune hunting plans. Despite his attraction and feelings for Gabi, he continued with his plans of wedding an heiress and made a rather hurtful and insulting offer to Gabi. The good thing is that he pulled his cranium out of his nether hole soon enough to make things right, but he was a bit of a mistrustful hot head and several times misconstrued things, almost breaking things down between him and Gabi. Gabi had to face several times if she would choose to stay, or take the last portal with Iris back to her family and her own time, before it closed forever, and was it worth trusting her heart to Jack and his mercurial moods.

Jack was definitely not my favourite hero of the series. But I was glad to read this third book in the series because I wanted to read the final resolution of the story of Iris and Marco. It was a bit anti climatic, and I wish there was an epilogue to finish their story line a bit more. But I did like that Emily, Jenee, and Gabi started the journey and ended the journey together, maintaining their sisterhood and friendship, across time, finding each other again, and also finding love.

Time traveling, historical romance, and paranormal intrigue... so you definitely have to suspend belief. There were a few minor story discrepancies that annoyed me (such as Jack having had/would have had the titles of Earl and Marquess, but he went by the title of Earl - why, when the title of Marquess would have been the higher title????), but overall, a decent third book and conclusion to the story.

Oh my gosh another fantastic time travel historical romance novel. I am very happy that I read this book. Let me tell you. This story was heart pounding. It was exciting.
It was very entertaining. And it was so wicked, but in a good way. I’ll give you a hint. It was our main characters who with out shame flaunted their sinful desires at one another. The plot to the story worked well with all the characters in the story.
The actions of the characters kept the story moving with intrigue, mystery and suspense. The dialogue and very details of the story are imaginative. The writer did a wonderful job with this story and I look forward to more stories. Until next time my fellow readers… read on! A nice conclusion to the series! This is the 3rd time travel through a painting, this time it's Gaby's turn. She gets transported to Italy and meets Jack.

I definitely think this book more focused on the wrap up of things than the romance. I think I liked the detective angle better from the previous books instead of the inheritance brooding part in this one. The cooking part at least added some additional interesting parts.

I think what I liked the most was that Emily and Jenee came back and had pretty big roles in this one. I think they outshined our herione Gaby in this one though, she wasn't as strong of a character.

The romance was complicated, but fun and I felt satisfied with the ending.

All the characters are determined to put their "world" right. The main villain needs to be defeated once and for all. A great adventure through the veil of time .

This is the third book in the series but can easily be read on its own. A well written book which had strong characters & a well paced story. I really liked both Jack & Gaby & found myself engrossed in their journey to a HEA & also in the quest for the painting. There are surprises, a strong attraction & the beauty of Tuscany. I thoroughly enjoyed the book

This is the 3rd book of Lost in Time series, it can be read as stand alone. My first in this series and this book is good. Gabriella pull back in 1900 to help Marco and Irish, find and safe the third painting The Three Stages of Love. Here she meet Jack. I can feel spark flying between Jack and Gabriella! There attraction so strong! After first kiss i anouyed with Jack, ugghh what a man! The thrill from lost painting really good, i enjoy the battle with the witch.

I really am not the audience for this book. I was intrigued by the “pulled through a painting and transported back in time” and the mystery of a lost painting that is needed to reunite a time traveling muse with the painter.

Gabriella is the main character, the one pulled through the painting, and lands on a cliff in very early 20th century Italy. She is rescued by a brooding hero, Jack, and the main focus of the book is on whether or not he loves her. The time traveling mystery doesn’t see any real action until the second half of the book.

As a whole, the writing is poor. There is little to no character development. There are limited adjustments or challenges Gabriella experiences being thrown back in time: she takes over as the household’s cook and there is a fair amount of detail about the food and ingredients, but she adapts to everything quickly and has all the answers. There is little specific to the era or the locale to even give the reader a feel for the time. The dialogue is unnatural. There is far too much exposition and not enough show/action. There is no tension around Gabriella trying to get home: it seems to revolve around whether or not Jack loves her. There is no tension or suspense around really anything and the plot development is uneven with too easy resolutions. Maybe the obstacles and mysteries were silly in the first place.

Such an authentic and captivating storyline. The build is on point, the characters will make you laugh, feel and fall hard.
