While I didn't love this one as much as the first book in the series. I am loving this western series with strong and capable women.
I enjoyed this story very much, likeable characters and settings. will definitely read more in this series.
A solid 3 stars
Definitely slides closer to a Christian romance but I dud like the story although the characters fall in love awfully fast abd it's just a bit lacking in places.
It's a sweet, clean romance. A solid choice for those looking out for less steam and more sweet.
I enjoyed the characters, we're well written and that's it.
This was a fun book with some really unique situations and twists and turns.
I really enjoyed the story and the characters! I definitely want to read the next book and keep up with everyone!
A sweet and clean love story about resilience, loss, grief and the ability to rise up in the face of pain to become stronger than before.Adorable complicity between Gaby and Rena.
Love on Target is a marvelous story of resiliency, hard work, and determination that took place during the Westward Movement in the US. By Shanna Hatfield it is part of the Pink Pistol Sisterhood series with several authors contributing stories. Rena Burke travels from Texas to the town of Holiday Oregon. Her travels there and her reasons for moving to where her cousin lives is a story in itself. Rena is a perfect example of the pioneer women who helped to settle the west.
The story begins as Rena arrives in a nearby town. From that introduction you know this is one strong woman, not afraid of taking risks but is also responsible. Josh, Gabi, and her cousin Theo are all such inspiring characters along with the supporting character. However, Rena is my favorite. I loved her, want to know someone like her and perhaps even more be like her. She finds acceptance, friendship, family and love. What a lovely story.
The publisher through Net Galley provided a digital ARC. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts.
Love on Target by Shanna Hatfield is an 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ book.
Rena has faced a terrible trauma, which has led her to leave her home state of Texas and head to Oregon. I admire Rena for starting over with nothing, in a close-knit community. With a closed heart to love and God.
She accepts a "man's" job, which doesn't make the town's people happy. Can she handle the job? Not just the job in general but from the past trauma?
Will the community welcome her? Will she open her heart? Will she accept God?
