I Know Who You Are centers around Rowan, a woman who cyber bullied another girl with fatal consequences.
When the victims brother vows revenge, Rowan is relocated to a new town and and given a new name.
She is trying to move on and get her life back, She leads a quiet life and is always careful. But, someone is still watching and following her.
A very timely story with great characters. Everyone should read this and think twice about posting pics, words and video's online. Just one photo or video can have huge consequences on so many people. What seems like a harmless prank is never that simple.
A gripping and twisty read. I loved it!
Thanks to netgalley and Inkubator Books for the arc.
Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.
Thank you Netgalley and Inkubator Books for the copy of I Know Who You Are by Mark Gillespie. I think I’m in the minority because this book was not for me. The writing never engaged me and the characters were not interesting. The story was good, but I didn’t really get involved until the last 30%, and by then I was pretty much over it. If you love twists, you will love this book, but I needed more than a twist to really love this one.
This book starts off strong and keeps the reader engaged the entire time. Characters that are well-written, and a storyline that is powerfully thorough. This book was fantastic. Thank you to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
WOW. The ways and what you pay for cyberbullying. Sarah did leave after "the eye for an eye", which she did take way too far. I admit I did not like Sarah. Then the stalking, and the tension of who the stalker was. I could envision the story as it played out. The story, but packed with gripping details. Held my attention and kindle very tightly.
Loved this plot. A modern thriller. Lots of secrets, mystery, revelations, twists, and so much suspense. Excellent thriller. Just may be a new favorite author for me. A must read.
This was such a great thriller - I always love a good psychological twist to keep me guessing. My only feedback is I wish the twist at the end went a little more in depth. I always want more detail than less!
Now that is what I call a very good book, some good turns in it which were throughout the book, looking forward to the next one
Welllllll, DAMN.
I enjoyed how fast pace this was, dual POV and a total “what the f!ck is going on” aka a read worth reading. I gave this 4 stars simply because of the length of this book. I loved it.
Rowan Wilson, or whaaaatever your name is *side eye* is a young adult in her 20s facing the consequences of actions she takes while drunk. They follow her around for years although, is that ONE incident all that’s after her? The crazy switch from viewing her as rowan Wilson someone who had one mess up while drunk and is guilt tripped for her the rest of her life quickly shows us that she just might not be as innocent as we think.
It’s mind blowing, it’s enthralling, it sucks you in and then it’s done! I found myself watching it like a movie in my mind. The descriptions this author brings to life in your mind is easy to capture. I enjoyed the plot, often times I felt bad, mad, happy, and empathetic. The story was magnificent. I wish I had more to read!!
<Special THANK YOU to Netgalley and author Mark Gillespie for allowing me the privilege of reading this book in exchange for my honest review. Great work!
The aftermath of cyber bullying - having to move to a new location and changing your name.
The brother of the victim swearing that he will get you, shouting "An eye for an eye".
Rowan Wilson just wants to make up for what she did, and the tragic consequences of her actions. She has moved and become a caring and has changed her appearance and her behaviour.
But she always looks over her shoulder.... just in case. But she doesn't see her stalker, until it is nearly too late.
I enjoyed this book, it was short, but there was a lot packed into it. The book was creepy, and intriguing. And a massive twist at the end.
I totally recommend this book, and can't wait to read more of the authors books.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
So topical, this book highlights the risks people take when they troll. It’s a fast read but non-stop action with terrific characters.
Good book! This book had a bit of everything! It had suspense, intrigue, murder, mystery, revenge , and a few crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle! I definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
This was a really quick and easy read that starts with a bang and keeps the reader captivated throughout. The characters are well written snd the plot is told with vivid details, making the reader envision the events easily and clearly. A sense of tension and unease is built throughout and you're just waiting for something to break. There was a couple of twists thst had me shocked and were well implemented. A really good domestic thriller
