Domestic thrillers about social influencers are some of my favorites, right up there with domestic thrillers about new moms. For the first few pages of this one, I was having serious doubts. Molly Sullivan has been sharing intimate detail of her life with her followers for five years and in the first chapter she's live streaming a pap smear to raise awareness about cervical cancer. She shares everything on her feed, including a photo she took of herself with her new fiancé. He doesn't want to be sharing anything online, for good reason. Molly takes down the picture as soon as he objects, but by then it's already too late. The plot didn't go where I thought it would and had me actually crying by the end. The character development is fantastic. I LOVED this one!

Interesting popcorn thriller and great audiobook! I really liked the characters and the way the story was written. There were some unexpected twists and I thoroughly enjoyed the way the ending came together!

Look at this gorgeous cover! I love social media thrillers and this was one of my most anticipated reads of the summer. I’m happy to report that it did not disappoint! I enjoyed the characters and was invested in the mystery, so that leaves little for me to complain about. Overall, this was a suspenseful thriller I’d recommend!

I love a novel that could be ripped straight from the headlines and THE FOLLOWERS is one such story. Bradeigh Godfrey captured my attention with her debut thriller, IMPOSTER, and I had high hopes for her sophomore novel.
I appreciated how different the two stories were with THE FOLLOWERS leaning more into domestic suspense/tangled family drama territory compared to her previous novel which was a straight up mystery/thriller. Godfrey is an incredibly versatile author and I can’t wait to see what she writes next!
Many thanks to the publisher for an electronic ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this one! I was completely sucked in, and it kept me guessing the entire time! Really enjoyed it!

The book was a little slow for me at times and didn't always feel like a thriller at times. We learn Scott's secrets pretty early on and it doesn't feel like the big mystery that it was being built up as. However, we do have another player who we don't uncover the identity of until the end of the book, and boy that was a plot twist that I was not expecting. I think it made for an interesting turn of the story, I just wish that it had been a bit more detailed, it seemed to end so quickly. The story sends a lot of time focusing on Molly's social media posting and how people are tracking her. Then randomly we switch to the huge reveal at the end and speed through an ending.
Overall I enjoyed the story and think it's intriguing and different. I just was lacking the feel of a thriller for most of the story. It has a broad cast of characters and really took some surprising turns if I'm being honest. I would say it's a book I would recommend for sure.

The Followers by Bradeigh Godfrey
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Out now!
A good thriller that will keep you on your toes.
The story follows:
Molly: an influencer
Liv: The sister of a murdered young woman
Scott: Molly’s husband; whose past isn’t what it may seem.
When their paths cross - things start to come together that no one could have anticipated.
The details that are put into these characters makes them so relatable. Highly recommend if you are looking for a fast paced thriller.
Thank you NetGalley for the copy!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to review this book.
This book follows Molly Sullivan, a mom influencer, and Liv Barrett, a woman looking for answers to her sister's sudden death years before. Their paths collide after MOlly posts a picture of her fiance, who Liv swears is the man who killed her sister and abducted her niece.
This book is quick-paced and kept me hooked. There were a lot of things going on, but it never felt like too much or that it didn't make sense. I really enjoyed reading it and guessing who did what. I'd definitely recommend it!

While some readers may find influencers in fiction overdone, I personally have really been enjoying these plotlines (maybe that says something about me but alas...) and I really enjoyed Bradeigh Godfrey's sophomore thriller and can't wait to read more from her in the future.
Thank you to Blackstone for an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

Molly Sullivan is a single mom who rose to fame on social media when she was real with them about how hard it was to be alone with a new baby. She’s about to marry a wonderful man who has a daughter of his own but he has one rule: she can never share anything about them on her social media accounts. This is proving to be really hard for an influencer of Molly’s size, and she’s wondering if he has something to hide.
I really enjoyed this one! The social media influencer trope has been pretty common in books lately but this was definitely a good one. I liked how there were multiple stories going on and I had so many guesses as to where it was headed. Molly was a really likable and plausible MC and it made the book all the more enjoyable. It’s not a thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat but you will definitely enjoy yourself. I recommend this one!
4.5 stars

I kept going back and forth on this one the whole time I was reading. I loved the author’s first novel, Imposter, so I was excited to get into this one. I did like some parts of it, but I also felt that there was something missing.
I loved the idea of focusing on an influencer for a thriller. Posting too much on the internet always freaks me out, so this sort of storyline really had me on edge (but in a good way). I also liked the writing style a lot, and the final twist was a good one! I thought I had it all figured out but I didn’t predict this one.
On the other hand, I had an issue with some of the dialogue. It came off a bit unbelievable or cheesy and made the characters seem less real to me. And I also felt that it took way too long to get to the really intense moment of the book.
In saying all that, it took me a long time to finish this one because I’ve been super busy and haven’t been reading nearly as much. Maybe if I had been able to really sit for awhile and dive into the story, I would’ve liked it more. I still recommend you check it out if you enjoy thrillers!
Thank you to Blackstone Publishing for my gifted copy!

Nine years ago, Liv's sister was murdered and her niece disappeared. Liv is pretty sure her sister's ex, Sam, is responsible for both. Now, she has tracked Sam to Colorado where he is newly married to a mommy influencer. She decides to befriend Molly, the influencer, to try to get justice for her sister.
This one was a lot slower than I thought it would be. It also was not as suspenseful as the synopsis and cover made it seem. There were points where we'd get a little sprinkling of intrigue but then it slowed down again (at least for me). I will say there were a couple good twists, but overall, I was just underwhelmed by where this one went.
I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

First time reading Dr. Godfrey and definitely won't be the last! The Followers was a chilling tale of a blogger and her life. This book was beyond amazing! It had more twists and turns than a country road! Definitely recommend!

Words cannot describe how much I loved this book. I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. I've seen this one on bookstagram and I want to tell everyone about this book! I will DEFINITELY recommend this book for purchase at my library.

Oh wow this book took me on a journey and I really enjoyed it.
Seeing from both Molly's and Livs perspectives really rounded the story well. I even like reading the bad guys perspective even thought it was a little creepy.
I definitely did not expect the twist at the end about who the bad guy really was and what truly happened that night.
I was glad to see how it ended for everyone, and I ended up have a small cush on Jeremiah through out this book and she might be a new little book boyfriend for me.
If you like thrillers and multiple povs I think this is a good book for you.

This book is so well written! Multiple POVs switch rapidly (and an anonymous POV to add to the suspense), and are fast-paced. There were several moments where it felt like the book was slowing down, but then – boom – and enter a major twist.
It was good. It was so good.

I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own opinions.
The Followers is one of those fantastic books that grabs your attention right away and leaves you wanting more.
The characters are lovable, and there are so many twists that you really don't know what to think since all your theories are proven wrong one chapter at a time.

This book ropes you in at the very beginning. I love the multiple point of view aspect, you’re getting a lot of information from different people & sources, like the online forums, the anonymous POV, it has a little bit of that cat and mouse quality. The information given offers just enough suspense that it keeps you guessing, keeps you wondering, it keeps your mind going. I do believe Molly keeps the story relatable, it makes you think about your own life, applying her words to yourself. The story makes you question your own digital footprint. This book is binge worthy !

THE FOLLOWERS by Bradeigh Godfrey had me from the beginning and never let up. Any time someone is murdered in the first few pages, I settle in for a good one.
Liv Barrett is just seventeen when her older sister Kristina is beaten to death. If that’s not bad enough, Kristina’s daughter, Gabriella goes missing the same night with her father, Sam. Liv and her family are convinced that Sam killed Kristina and Liv vows that she’ll hunt Sam down and get to know her niece. Nine years later, her job as a traveling Physical Therapist finds her in Durango, CO. She inserts herself into the life of Mollie Sullivan, a social media influencer, convinced that she is now married to Sam, after seeing a quickly deleted photo on Mollie’s feed. Sam now goes by the name Scott Wander. Scott is a very private person who is owner/operator of a river rafting business.
Meanwhile, as Mollie unpacks in her new home, she begins to find clues about why Scott is so secretive. Her findings raise many questions and Scott has easy, simple answers for all of her questions.
As the tension mounts, Liv finally meets Scott’s daughter Ella, and it’s HER, but when she finally meets him, he grabs Ella and takes off once again.
This one was a wild ride. Every time it started slowing just a bit another twist was just around the corner. Just the best kind of mystery/thriller. I really like her writing style, could feel the winds in the mountains and just smell the trees and feel the roiling water while rafting. Bradeigh Godfrey will certainly be an author I follow in the future. Great job!

Oh. My. Goodness. The concept for this was otherworldly, I've never seen or read anything like this! I loved the writing, the format (graphics of the transcripts, comments, posts, etc.), as well as the characters. It also doesn't hurt to include a Taylor Swift reference or two ;). I was pulled in from the very beginning, and my interest never wained. Couldn't recommend more!!!
