Loved it! I have Tiffani Thiessen's first cookbook (signed by her too!) so I was so glad to get this second one. I loved it and have already been working my way through some of the recipes.
Very cute cookbook. I love the leftover recipes quite a bit because I don’t love plain reheated food but reinventing them is an interesting way to keep it fresh and have less waste.
This book made me so happy. Cooking and leftovers food photography and Saved by the Bell?
Put that stuff right into my veins.
The photography alone is worth the price of admission.
While I’ll likely never make sandwiches from leftover pizza, I love what this book is attempting:
Preparing lovely, delicious meals for you and your family, with a little food-waste as possible.
We particularly liked the Horseradish Mashed Potatoes and the Spaghetti Pie (though, I think lean more towards Spaghetti Lasagna next time.
If you’re a 90s kid who loves to cook and wants to waste zero dollars, this one’s for you.
Thanks to NetGalley and Worthy Publishing for this gem of an ARC.
Tiffani Thiessen's Here We Go Again is for my leftover cooks. We all have busy schedules and I know that I always struggle with making something new for everyday meals. I have a big family and we always have leftovers so this cookbook provides ways to use those extras to make completely new and yummy dishes. The photos are stunning and mouthwatering. I will be keeping this handy because its a cookbook that you can always use and benefit from.
I liked the idea of taking leftovers and creating something new. The recipes however were not exactly what I was expecting and some of them I would not make due to my personal preference but I think this title will be valuable for a new cook who may not be savvy in the kitchen with leftovers and needs some ideas.
Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for letting me review this title.
A fabulous cookbook that so many students are going to pick up and take advantage of. Highly recommend for any middle or high school library. (alcohol notwithstanding lol)
Beautifully designed book, full of inspiration just for your leftovers - you may want to make some meals so you have leftovers enough to try these recipes out!
Ridiculous cute and useful! I always have a ton of leftovers so I loved the concept of this book. And it’s just fun. The pictures are hilarious. The recipes super easy and not fussy like some celebrity cookbooks.
Fun and inventive cookbook about taking small leftovers and making whole new meals with them! It was better than I expected, and I enjoyed the anecdotes that Tiffani sprinkled in the book.
Thank you Netgalley and Worthy Publishing, Worthy Books for the ARC!
Here We Go Again is a unique and inventive cookbook that gives the home cook great ideas on how to cut down on food waste and turn leftovers into something delicious and new. Family-friendly recipes paired with retro, mid century style photography make this a great book to add to your home library.
Thank you to Worthy Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC.
The idea behind this book is how to turn small amounts of food (think: a third of a tub of sour cream, leftover taco meat, the bottom of a bag of stale chips) that usually get thrown away into an actual meal. I love this idea! Tiffani's descriptions and stories behind each recipe are fun, as are the artistic and pretty pictures of her and her family. The recipes are unique and original. This is a great cookbook! Just know that if you shy away from processed foods, grains, etc. as I do, you won't find many things out of this book that you will actually cook, or at least nothing that you would add in to your normal meal rotations.
I was excited to find out that Tiffani was coming out with another cookbook. I’m not much of a fan of non book format of cookbooks, but I decided to give this a try. While the format was distracting, I enjoyed the recipes and found some stuff to try. My only criticism of the book? I wish that there were more pictures. As a whole this book has something for everyone.
I dread leftovers sometimes because I never know what to do with them plus I'm not a huge fan in general but this book is the perfect book for me! So many different recipes to try--some very creative too. Definitely a good book for the cookbook collection.
Got leftovers? Unfortunately most of us do. There are dozens of cookbooks out there with mundane ways to use them up. However, Here We Go Again: Recipes and Inspiration to Level Up Your Leftovers is different. It includes recipes that are unique and use lots of ingredients such as stale crackers and pretzels, veggies, meats and chicken, and other things we always seem to have leftover. The author, Tiffani Thiessen, is an actress and television chef, who obviously likes her food to taste good and be a bit exciting instead of just finding boring ways to use up leftovers that shouldn’t be wasted.
The recipes have fun names, and are appealing, both to adults and children. They are written in standard recipe form with comments at the beginning, followed by a list of ingredients, ending with step-by-step instructions that are easy to understand. Most of the recipes are fairly easy, so both beginning and advanced cooks can turn out picture perfect dishes that nobody will guess are made from leftovers.
Most of the dishes include beautiful photographs, and there are also lots of photos of the author and her family (actresses, it seems like to have their pictures taken and noticed). The dishes are mouthwatering, and the photos make them more appealing. This is actually an excellent cookbook and one that will inspire cooks to use up their leftovers in innovative ways.
All told, leftovers aren’t fun, but this cookbook is.
Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.
There’s many things I loved about this book: easy to read, pictures are colorful/well detailed to see end results, organized into categories. The book is family friendly. I’d like to follow a recipe involving pizza and cereal. I’d recommend this book to friends because many of them don’t know how to cook and they can easily learn to cook food creatively in the house without spending too much money. So grateful for the book! Can’t wait to see what’s next from the author.
Beautiful cookbook. Unique and inventive recipes that are supposed to be for leftovers. Certainly makes cooking seem like it could be fun. And Tiffani’s enthusiasm for the kitchen is evident and contagious….
Except I know it won’t work for me. Ha! I am just not a cookbook person. I get catch up in how pretty they are but then I realize how in depth these recipes are, and I am disillusioned.
Truly, she talks about how these are recipes make from leftovers or things you’d have already in the house.
But then uses brioche and sourdough and Gruyère cheese and beets and I don’t know a bunch of other ingredients that I never have in my house!! I don’t know what these would be leftovers from…but they aren’t from these we typically make, I know that’s for sure.
I’m sure someone who loves cooking, like one of my dear friends, would love this book and make all kinds of recipes from it. But it’s just not for me.
The photography in this book is so epic that it was already worth the cost before I got to a single recipe.
I loved the author's writer voice which is something I have never had the pleasure of saying when reviewing a recipe book!
No doubt readers will find something mouthwatering they cant wait to try to make themselves.
I grew up watching Tiffani on Saved By The Bell and I’m a lover of leftovers so I jumped at the chance to check out her newest cookbook. The photos were quite eye-catching but I can’t say I’ll make any of the recipes (other than maybe the cotton candy smoothie or cereal milk ice pops) because they seemed way more complex than I was expecting. Thanks to NetGalley and Worthy Publishing for the free copy in exchange for my honest review!
First of all, LOVE TT. She is adorable. Secondly, I love this cookbook. The idea of revamping leftovers has, let's face it, been done before, but she does it in an interesting way.
I am mostly looking forward to making the (I'm So) Stuffed Shells and the Retro Ambrosia Salad.
My family members are generally not fans of leftovers, so I need to add some spark when dealing with what remains after a meal. There were some great tips and tricks in Here We Go Again.
Big thanks to NetGalley and Worthy Publishing for a free copy of the book in exchange for my honest feedback.
The book has so many easy recipes to do with leftovers. Not only do the recipes look easy, but the pictures are gorgeous. They make you want to make all of the recipes. I loved how she had her family in the book, showing them eating the wonderful food from the recipes.
