This is fun and sassy and a great way to have students engage with a culture they may not know, or a culture they do know but dont often see themselves in stories. The graphic novel format makes it engaging for a wide variety of student readers as well.

Another amusing and enlightening graphic novel from Huda Fahmy about life as a Muslim American teenage girl. This one focuses on bonding with her sisters during a family vacation to Disney World. I really enjoy being exposed to this perspective that is so unfamiliar to me, and Fahmy keeps it light and breezy even when dealing with some heavy Islamophobic moments.

This was utter perfection. I laughed so many times! My family was in fits over my laughing fests.

What a great way to spend some time in a comic. The sister bonds were everything!

This was fantastic! I loved the first one, so I was so excited for the second one. And it didn’t disappoint! It was funny and full of heart and also made me sad with how people treated them. I hope readers take from this that we need to be kind to everyone and a joke isn’t always a joke.

Amazing follow up to Huda F Are You? This one follows Huda as she navigates sisterly bonds. I thoroughly enjoyed how the graphic novel portrayed Huda’s relationship with each of her sisters. It demonstrated how they all had something to learn from each despite how different they. The central message of be true to yourself continues in this installment, but we see it more as it pertains to family. How are you true to yourself in the context of family?

I loved the theme park setting, which came with its fair share of troubles! This is a sweet and important read about being visibly Muslim, staying true to one’s self, and the importance of trusting/relying on your siblings. I hope there’s a next one because it’s quickly become one of my favorite graphic novels.

Known for her witty comics on the internet chronicling her life as a Muslim woman, Huda Fahmy is back in the YA circuit with the sequel to her debut book Huda F Are You? which comes out on October 10th. In this laugh-out-loud story, aptly named Huda F Cares?, Huda and her family go to Disney World and get into many shenanigans while there!

I loved this sequel graphic novel! While I am not Muslim, I *do* have sisters so I definitely resonated with this story and the value of sisterhood and family. My sisters and I fight, tease, and annoy each other all the time; however, when push comes to shove, we have each other's backs and would do anything for each other. Also, my parents taught my sisters and I that we were each other's built-in best friend, so the fact that Huda’s mom shared a similar sentiment throughout the novel and Huda eventually realizes how appreciative she is of her sisters was really sweet to me.

A quick and binge-worthy read, Huda F Cares? is a great YA graphic novel for those looking to view a story centered around family and growing up, while also highlighting Muslim culture.
*I received an ARC from Penguin Teen in exchange for my honest opinion.

The second Huda graphic novel and it was just as endearing as the first; though, I do think the first one is a bit funnier. In Huda F Cares, we dig deeper into Huda’s relationship with her sisters and parents. I loved seeing the different dynamics between the sisters and all the sibling squabbles. It was sweet to see the sisters learn to empathize and listen to each other.

The book also goes into Huda’s struggles to be a visibly proud Muslim but not wanting to attract attention for being “weird.” We see a lot more of Huda’s introspective thoughts. Part of her wants to do what is right and in line with her beliefs and values. Another part of her is a bit more of a rebel/bluntly honest. She wants to make friends with others, fly under the radar. She wishes she didn’t have to always feel “othered” just for being Muslim. This constant back and forth is a big part of the storytelling.

Just like the first book, I’m a fan of the art style. Her simple illustration style is so expressive. I love all the expressions the characters make. My favorite panel was Huda melting in the Florida heat. I recently visited Disney World (and Florida) for the first time and the drawing of Huda profusely sweating was hilariously relatable for me.

I do think the first book was funnier, but I appreciate the sweet familial love portrayed in Huda F Cares.

This was a fun quick Ya graphic novel. There was some moments when I literally laughed out loud. I think this offers great perspective and exposure to other cultures and what people experience that we may not even realize. These sisters show up for each other when it matters most and they learn to embrace their religion and culture regardless of where they are and who maybe watching.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC, this is a voluntary honest review.

Huda F Cares by Huda Fahmy is the second book in the Huda F series and I absolutely loved this one just as much as the first. Here Huda and her family go on a family vacation via road trip and thus begins all the backseat drama. What I love about Huda F Cares is that it brings up big issues like cultural differences while also bringing up common, everyday family issues. The graphic novel humanizes the Muslim culture and that is definitely needed now more than ever with all world issues taking place. Huda F Cares is a must read, its fun, its fresh and its important.

I enjoyed road-tripping with this loving family that doesn't leave their faith behind when they go on vacation. The sisterly interactions felt real and I enjoyed getting to know this family.

This is not my favorite by Huda Fahmy but it is 5 stars none the less because she always makes me laugh. I laughed out loud at the fart scenes in the car. These books by Fahmy are such treasures, all of them, and I am so excited to share this with my own kids and my nieces. Huda is effortlessly funny while also SO RELATABLE. She encapsulates the awkward teenage girl years so well. These will make so many young adults feel so seen.

The scene where she makes a friend at Disney over We Hunt The Flame and they both have a crush on Altair? I LOVED THAT.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an e-ARC of this graphic novel!

I adored Huda F Are You? and was so excited to read the next installment in Huda's story. This is a very cute story about their family's trip to a theme park and how their religious practices impact that trip. I love that the book is relatively short--kids are very willing to pick up a book they know they can finish in a short amount of time.

My only issue was with the formatting of the ARC--the text was often jumbled up and the images were very small.

I will be adding a copy of this to my classroom library!

Huda always manages to tell such an incredible story in such a short amount of pages. I will always wholeheartedly support and promote her books.

I really enjoyed this story! What kid can’t relate with having parents saying things and as much as we don’t like it they are right. Huda and her sisters are so relatable for all kids. This also give a good glimpse of the world from their eyes. Absolutely great!!

While I enjoyed what I read I am going to hold my official review until I am able to read a finished copy because in the digital arc copy I really struggled to place the dialogue in even close to the right order.

I did love the banter between sisters and the overall family dynamic. These sisters are hilarious together.
